This was a conveniently located bakery. It was very busy. There was someone working diligently to find seating for patrons and also make sure people weren't occupying the tables for an unreasonable amount of time. The cafe itself was very bright with a very scrumptious and plentiful display of baked goods and desserts. I got the yogurt and a lavender honey latte. The granola was delicious. My cousin really wanted some coffee and we were trying to go somewhere near the Shamrock Shuffle 8K. This one ended up being on the course which was perfect. We could sit inside by the window and watch the runners go by. It was busy but there wasn't a long line and still plenty of tables open. I got a cappuccino while my friends tried some of the sweeter drinks on the menu, the Dubai Latte and the salted chocolate cold brew. My sister was not impressed by the latte. Decent. My Capp was good but it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. I wanted something simple. I think my cousin liked the cold brew but thought it was too sweet after a while. We also shared the ham and cheese puff pastry and the chocolate croissant. Turned out the chocolate wasn't only on the outside but was also a filling. Not my thing. Too sweet for us. Next door to our hotel, we stopped here for breakfast on Friday morning. Large space with seating both indoor and outdoor. It's set up to where you go up and order, then they find you a seat. So it was a good thing we didn't try and snake a seat while we waited to order. We were sat somewhat fast, although outside. We were able to sit under an umbrella. I ordered the breakfast burrito which came with avocado, eggs, etc. it was served with a salsa. Burrito was very good. To begin with, the customer service here was great and made the experience even more enjoyable. Moreover, the food was just as amazing and definitely worth coming back for. My boyfriend ordered the turkey bacon & egg croissant and absolutely loved it. Furthermore, I got the breakfast with bacon, toast, and hash browns, which I really enjoyed as well. I went to this establishment on Sunday morning. It had bit of a "fish market" feel to it, rather than a cafe. There were two lines going and was a bit confusing. The greeting lady was very abrupt and rude. The managers should realize that the customers can be tourists as well, so they may not know how this busy location works. The lady on the register was nice and helpful, however there was a 30 min wait on drinks, and all I could order was regular drip coffee and breakfast sandwich, which was fine. Goddess and the baker was recommended to me by my hotel. It was about 5-10 mins away. Upon arrival, I noticed how nicely decorated it was. It has very beautiful art work and wall decor. The glass display was filled with delicious pastries. They have all types of sweets, they have something for everyone. I ended up opting for their cinnamon roll which is reminiscent of a croissant & cinnamon roll hybrid. I tried the both the smoked vanilla latte & Nutella oatmilk latte. Out of the two, I preferred the Nutella one. Surprisingly, it was not sweet. I also ordered the breakfast sandwich and it was okay, nothing spectacular. Pretty straightforward. Came to the city for a university event and stopped by here the morning before I left to grab a bite to eat on the river walk. I ordered the Mango Matcha, Blueberry chia rice pudding, and ham and cheese croissant. The mango matcha was pleasantly yummy! I haven't had a good matcha in Illinois since I got here and this one satisfied my cravings. It was my first time trying a matcha mango combination and love it! It was sweet but not overpowering and refreshing. I do wish the matcha was stronger but it was delicious regardless. The blueberry chia rice pudding was the star of the show. I grabbed this at the register as it caught my attention and have now discovered a newfound obsession. I need to find out how to replicate this to make at home. 100/10!!! It taste just like my moms rice pudding and is topped with fresh blueberries and dried coconut fak The ham and cheese croissant is flaky, salty, buttery, and moist in the best way. Everything looked so delicious that no matter what you pick, you get the feeling you've made both the right and wrong choice! I opted for a drip coffee and the cinnamon cruffin this time around. The cruffin was an addicting triple threat of a cinnamon roll, croissant, and muffin all wrapped in one. The layers were flaky and as thin as tissue paper, and the pastry was just lightly sweet. This shop gets crowded and packed but they have a system worked out and service is still quick and friendly so don't be scared of the line going out the door! This place is so popular wow!!! I love the beautiful array of pastries and fantastic menu both for drinks and sit down meals. The energy is on point and I want to come back again and try to sit down and enjoy compared to take out this time. Our biggest disappointment was that we ordered 2 croissants and one of them was not the flavor we asked but we didn't realize because it was takeout in a bag. The second is that though the croissant is very large, it is so dense it is like eating a loaf of bread that's shaped like a croissant. Not flakey at all. I was so sad because we couldn't wait to bite into our croissants at first. The tiramisu latte is fanatic and not too sweet. The strawberry matcha is a flavor combo I'm obsessed with and the in house strawberry jam is tasty but sticks to the base of the iced drink so I couldn't even mix it with my paper straw with the matcha and when I finished the drink the jam was all still down there. She hates the dragon fruit pieces but said it was a good lemonade otherwise. I order shaken espressos b/c I like how the caffeine dominates but that wasn't the case here. My time here was amazing, and that's why I went 2 times during my 4 day visit to Chicago. I'm obsessed with their iced latte, it comes with a little sweet treat. The first day I went I had lunch and had the turkey sandwich with French fries and honestly I couldn't stop eating those fries hehe, they were so good. The next day I went to have breakfast. I had an iced latte and shakshuka (this I didn't like as much) but honestly I didn't mind because all the staff was so nice and the place was very inviting and cute, I really like their open concept. I think this place is a good example of a what happens when somewhere is to crowded for its own good. When we went we told them that we were doing take out so after we ordered they told us to go wait in an awkward corner of the restaurant where I'm you can't hear them calling orders and the is no seating... My recommendation to the store, if take out is a major part of your business (which it appears to be) focus more on making it comfortable and less Instagram. Usually when you see a line its a good sign however the pace of the place took away from the small and intimate cafe vibes that I'm used to. One thing I must say is the staff does a great job finding you a seat if your looking to dine in. The we didn't order hot food, just pastries and coffee. Overall, I don't think I would come back to this location for coffee. This location is pretty and has a good amount of seating however it is packed with people. So it can be pretty overwhelming if you are looking for a calm atmosphere. My experience was I waited in a long line when I got there and looked over the menu while waiting. Pretty extensive menu with coffee drinks, food, and pastries. I ended up getting a blueberry muffin and one of their specialty drinks. I forget what it's called but it had condensed milk in it with a sweet foam on top. Once we placed our order, we stood and waited for a bit in order for the staff to find us seating. Once seated, it took another few more minutes to get our food and drinks. My drink was very sweet with the condensed milk and I could not finish it at all. Personally, I probably wouldn't come back to this location due to long wait times, overwhelming atmosphere, lots of crowding, and underwhelming drinks. read more

Surprisingly fast service - despite how busy they are at times, the lines move quickly and I was able to snag a table after waiting for 10 min. Food was amazing!! I loved the shakshuka and caprese danishes, so unique and the perfect texture. The salmon bagel was a deconstructed version with separate ingredients that you assemble.
