Good price, it's good if you care more about Quantity rather than Quality. Don't touch the sushi. The egg tarts were surprisingly good tho. You pay upfront at they have lunch discounts.

The food is ok, no roast duck, BBQ pork, roast pork, beef chow fun, wonton noodle those classic Chinese food, a few selections of sushi rolls, and the Mexican chef doing the Mongolian part took care all the Mexican customers' plates before mine, even the ones behind me got their plates done ahead of me, unlike what he did to all the Mexican customers' plates, all he did to mine was just pour out food to the pan and leave them there, didn't even flip the food once, definitely discriminate. The service was below average, the waitress wouldn't pour water, she just brought the pot over and told us we got to do it ourselves. We paid $30 per person and this was all we got. Very disappointed I will never come back again.

Prawns, mussels to name a few.

Our first time at Gold Hibachi Buffet. We attended a graduation party on a Saturday held in a private room in the back that seats over 100 people. The graduation party was held from 4pm to 9pm. They served dinner buffet. The private room also has a projector and live band. The food options at Gold Hibachi Buffet was plentiful. Starting with the drinks they offered Thai Milk Tea, Olong Milk Tea and Passion Milk Tea along with other fountain drinks. They also offer several flavors of ice cream. As for the main dishes they offer different types of seafood with both crabs and crab legs, shrimp, prawns and fish to name a few and shrimp tempura. They also have a good selection of sushi, fruits and vegetable salad. They offer both beef and chicken dishes along with soups and sweet and meat buns like siopao. Its very busy on a Saturday as the place is packed. Lots of tables and chairs on the main floor. There's also another room on the left side of the buffet when you came in through the doors. I noticed the food disappears fast. Replenishment of food also goes out on the trays quickly. Great staff! The workers are also quick to pick up enmity plates. We don't mind visiting Gold Hibachi Buffet again when we are on this side of town.

    Fresh Fruits.

Food is all good, so many choices to pick from, sushi and the grill too. Greetings from all who work there, fast clean up on tables, deserts and ice cream too! Plenty of room for big parties too! We enjoyed the food and folks! (Hint go early so u see all the Freshness of the food and less traffic... We went during lunch time, cannot wait next time for Dinner time) Thank you ...

Food here was good and delicious. Nothing much to say here just because when my family and I visited this Buffet it was just good and delicious and that everything was cooked perfectly. I would only say that their All You Can Drink Thai Tea Drink was just not so good. Just needs a little bit more sweetness. Hopefully they can add some boba as well, now that would be a PLUS for me! The service was fast and efficient and the staffs were so welcoming when we entered the front doors. The ambiance itself was nice and beautiful. They added new light fixtures and it looked like this place was a High-class buffet lol. It wasn't too noisy but it was good because there wasn't that much people yet when we arrived. Would definitely recommend this place if you're into AYCE Buffets.

Asian buffet with typical choices. I like the coconut shrimp and the baked crab shell. The desserts were not labeled though. Too risky for people with food allergies. All in all an ok experience. Thank you!

It's what you expect from an all you can eat seafood buffet. Good selection. Decent service. Clean facilities. Price was okay. They have a hibachi bar where you can put together your own noodle plate and they will cook it for you right there on the flat grill. I thought it was cool that they had Thai Tea on tap and include unlimited drinks with your meal. They also had a large ice cream selection that was pretty decent. We were invited here for a birthday and they played a bday song over the speakers and brought out an angel food cake with a candle. Nothing really wowed me but I would come here again if invited.

    DESERT of endless strawberries!!

I came here because I needed to wait 2 hours at Costco to get my tires changed. I also needed a place to use the internet so good hibachi buffet was very generous. It's a great place to spend that waiting time plus there's plenty of food. I wish I walked around the whole place because I missed the sushi section. I didn't really stuff myself but I do think the price is justified.

    Empty for 45 minutes

What can I say??? Foods overall okay nothing special. I come here to try their braised abalone but I been waiting for over 40 minutes but so far no luck... the tray still empty. When I asked the lady work there she told me they are cooking, so I go back to my table. I waited about 10 minutes go up one more time and still nothing. This time the woman in front come up to me and said they are cooking will be ready in seconds.... Couple hundreds second later we go up and check one more time but still empty tray. What is it happening??? It take them more than 45 minutes to cooking and still nothing????? Sorry, but I have to say it. This place is suck.... Will never come back and I asked people who want to try this place please reconsider try something else instead. Ps, Suck never come back. Btw, meanwhile I'm doing yelped my wife come up and ask them again and it was empty.... Suck

They give large portions and everything tastes INCREDIBLE. Super authentic flavors and will definitely be coming back MUST TRY: Beef roll- flaky on the outside and stuffed with delicious marinated beef. My favorite dish Pan fried pork bun- super juicy just like in China Fried squid- the best fried squid I've ever had. Even better than the Hong Kong Cafe. Super crunchy almost like Korean fried chicken in the outside and tender in the inside. Not hard to chew at all! Lemon green tea- absolute massive glass. 100% delicious and not too sweet with a faint jasmine floralness Inside is a bit small but very generous with the AC Definitely come here!

We came here on Sunday at around 2pm and still waited around 30-40min for a table All that time waiting in line meant I had plenty of time to read through reviews and strategize my order, hah! By the way, when you arrive, make sure you go inside the restaurant and get a number and hang out until they call your number. It's pretty low tech lolll. Popcorn chicken - this seems to be a crowd favorite. It was good popcorn chicken but definitely not as good as other places in the area. That said, I do agree that it's good value as the portion is really big. Beef roll - ordered it without cilantro since cilantro is not my friend (sorry cilantro lovers). It ended up tasting a little plain and needed some of the chilli crisp/ oil to give it a little oomph. That said, the crust/ roll was good and the beef was flavorful (not too dry). Not bad, but also not amazing. Pork and veggie dumping in chilli oil - this was also just okay. The dumpling itself was lacking flavor but I guess the sauce helps. Braised beef and tendon noodles - If there's one thing I'd order again, it would be this. I LOVE the texture of the noodle. It has the perfect springy bite. Love love love the noodle. The beef was tender and the soup was okay (Good, not great). But the noodles though, if I could just buy the noodles, I would. If I were to sum up the food, I'd say it's not bad, but not amazing. The value is great since portions are generous, but taste wise is pretty average. Was it worth the wait? Absolutely not. I would not wait more than 10min for a table here to be honest. Would I come back here again if it was less than 10min wait? Yea probably if I was in the area.

It's simple what they do well here, they make darn good food that tastes like homemade food (healthy and delicious), they price everything on the menu very reasonably (especially in these crazy times), and they treat all their customers like family/neighbors. Now that I've given you the why, let's move on to the good food. We usually order the beef noodle soup because of how tender the meat is and the soup & noodles are just perfect comfort food. They opened and closed the door for us which was a nice touch because it was busy inside. We ordered the pork ramen, pork buns, and pork soup dumplings. On to the food! Pork Ramen: 3/5 They give you a hefty amount of noodles and pork. They use a thin noodle here which pairs well with the broth. I truly do believe this was around average for ramen as the flavor in the broth was not as strong or savory. The highlight of the entire entree was definitely the pork, which was tender and flavorful. I probably would not order this again. Pork bun: 5/5 The pork buns were soft and fluffy, almost too good looking to eat. There was the right amount of soup and meat inside that made for a wonderful bite full of flavor. Not dry at all. Would recommend ordering this if you visit. Pork Dumplings: 5/5 The star of the show, the dumplings. They were soft and just like the buns, they had the right amount of soup + meat which made for a delicious bite every time. My toddler even ate some and she's usually super picky about meat. Overall, I'd definitely recommend coming here for the other noodles, the dumplings, and buns. You can skip on the ramen. I would 100% come back here to dine in. Loved my whole meal from start to finish at Hong Kong Cafe!…read more The cafe is located at the north end of the Atlantic Times Square plaza in Monterey Park. There's a large underground garage for parking. We got lucky with a spot as a car was just leaving when we pulled in, so I'm not sure how hard it is to find parking during peak times, but there were a lot of cars coming in so I imagine it could be a bit difficult on weekends. We came to the cafe Saturday morning around 11:30 and managed to beat the lunch rush. They had tables available when we arrived, so my party of 4 was seated in a couple minutes once they prepared the table. It was quite spacious inside with plenty of space between each table, which made it easier for us with a bulky stroller. The decor was really fun to look at as well, as they have a lot of Hong Kong themed decoration. My friend got the Hong Kong milk tea to drink but it was pretty bad. He said the tea flavor was way too strong. I tried a sip and agree it wasn't very good. As expected of a Hong Kong cafe, the menu was large and had a huge selection of dishes. It took us a while to look through everything and figure out what we wanted. We ended up sharing the following dishes: #95 signature fish fillet ($19.95) - didn't know what to expect as there was no description of the dish on the menu. It was fried and coated in a sweet salty sauce. It was good but tasted pretty standard #120 Hainan chicken rice ($18.95) - probably my least favorite dish of the meal. It was served completely chilled, and the rice didn't have the fragrant chicken flavor I was expecting #151 seafood chow fun ($15.95) - this was my favorite dish! we got it with gravy for a change (we usually always get this dry) and it really came smothered in sauce. Despite that, we could still taste the wok hei in the rice noodle #176 grilled pork chop ($15.95) - pork chop was delicious! but the mushroom sauce we got on the side was very meh; it didn't have much flavor #176 grilled chicken steak ($15.95) - mostly one friend was eating this dish, but I tried a piece of the chicken and it was solid. They do a good job grilling their meats here! Portions are ginormous here. You can definitely get away with ordering 3-4 dishes for 4 people, but we wanted to have some leftovers for the next day so we ordered 5. We left happy and full :)
