I will totally be coming back here! Be prepared to wait in line though if you arrive during prime time lunch on a Sunday. Good thing we arrived early enough to beat the crowd and get dibs on the food that alone would be worth $20 if eating by itself in a typical Chinese resto - examples include the seafood (which my wife says was surprisingly fresh compared to all other buffets we've had in the past), ribs, roast duck, pho (yes...PHO!) - to name a few. The place itself is quite spacious, modern looking, and clean. Tables were NOT crammed together like some other buffets might be. Restrooms were big and clean. Speaking of cleanliness - plates were clean AND DRY (unlike every other buffet I've been to where the dishwasher seems to be so overwhelmed that plates come out wet...yuck) Staff is amazing! Friendly, took their time, efficient at removing dirty plates, and gentle...not sure what I mean by that, but I feel like it made my dining experience that much better. Food-wise, I'd say was slightly a step above in terms of the non-seafood items. My wife says the seafood was top notch. I really enjoyed the ribs, chicken stick, and beef broccoli - although everything else was quite tasty. My 7 y/o enjoyed the pizza, fries, and chicken nuggets. The taro bun was nice and soft - a definite departure from the stale, hard-on-the-outside buns I was accustomed to at other buffets. Most surprisingly was that they had pho!...which I've never ever seen before at a Chinese buffet. I didn't have a chance to try it, but will certainly do so next time. Parking-wise - there seems to be dedicated parking at the resto level (at least I didn't see any other businesses at that lower level) which can be accessed by driving straight towards the buffet and NOT going to the upper level where the Burlington strip mall is. If lower level parking is full, there would certainly be more parking in upper level....then simply take the stairs down to buffet. I'm excited to go back....and excited for YOU to try it! Definitely one of the best....if not THE BEST Chinese buffet I've ever been to. And having experienced the Chinese buffets in Southern California, that's saying a lot! We hadn't been here in quite a while, and as I've mentioned before, I'm generally not a fan of buffets. However, this place is a true exception. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The restaurant itself is clean and well maintained, which immediately sets a great impression. The variety here is incredible -- everything from Chinese favorites and dim sum to sushi, a raw bar, hibachi grill, made-to-order noodle stations, and an impressive dessert selection. There are honestly too many delicious options to list. Some of my personal favorites include the carved brisket roast and the perfectly steamed halibut. I also loved the made-to-order noodle bar, where I customized a pho bowl topped with beef, wontons, and roasted duck. It was rich, comforting, and full of flavor. Food: The food was honestly really good. Some dishes were better than others, but overall it was delicious and I enjoyed it. Service: Service was kinda mixed. They did pick up our plates pretty quickly, which I liked. But there was only one younger girl who actually attended us the whole time, and the older woman only brought our drinks at the beginning. When we were leaving, we gave the tip to the girl who took care of us, but then the older woman stopped us and asked for a tip too. That honestly made me uncomfortable because she wasn't the one helping us. I told her we already tipped the younger girl, but she looked upset. I didn't like that at all. It has been a while since I've been to a Chinese buffet. There are less and less of them in the area but Golden is considered one of the better ones. Like any Chinese buffet, they have a wide selection of items - from Chinese food, a hibachi grill, some American food and even sushi. The quality is exactly what you pay for. They have a wide variety of dishes (I'd say about 50% of them edible) About 40 in total. The food is cold or lukewarm and definitely not up to temps. The orange chicken I had was hard as a rock. Some items were just too salty and could not be consumed. Some of the food was just too dry and cold from sitting out without proper moisture or temperature. The service was negligible as they sat me at a table and gave me water, then disappeared. But definitely off of the food and the ambience alone I will not be back. read more

This was about 1/4 the size of my go to in Lanham MD but to my surprise, they had a GREAT line up buffet Chinese foods. The service was quite good and respectful. Firstly the front lady with the pink hoodie was extremely rude making us feel like we were stupid, but the whole time she was the stupid one for not explaining stuff right. FOOD - really really really honestly not worth it. If you're a foodie like me, I highly doubt this will be the place that'll satisfy your hunger. My rice was hard, the shrimp was no good, sushi had way too much rice, they were quick to run out of crawfish but not refill, and their options were very little. I just left there. The food was cold. I waited 30 plus minutes for fried fish and the shrimp. I notified the waitress the it was cold she said it's because the air conditioner. I continued to wait for another 10 minutes and went to the counter to speak with the cashier she offered to heat it up in the microwave (yuck) I just paid 71 dollars. I came here because I heard rumors of an all you can eat crab place for $13. Once I arrived I asked if they had the crabs and the front desk person nicely checked for me. My favorite items here were of course the crabs, brisket, clams, and a mushroom and beef dish. The brisket was a giant slab of meat you could cut yourself and control the thickness. As for the crabs, I would consider them on the smaller side, however they had lots of them so I guess it really doesn't matter at an all you can eat place. One of the few buffets in the area that is actually open and had full service. We came here for sunday lunch at $15.95 per person. They did a really good job with covid precautions. Everything was very clean and there were plenty of hand sanitizer dispensers. Staff had a combination of gloves, masks and face shields on which is great. They also provided plastic gloves for guests to use. Everyone wore masks and gloves while at the buffet lines. Knocked off a star because the food was hit or miss. My favorites were the crab (very fresh) and crispy duck. This was my first time seeing a buffet offer duck which was a nice surprise. It was crisp and juicy! The grill bar was also pretty good. We did not try the pho bar but it was open. Our favorite dessert was the japanese cotton cheesecake which tasted like pound cake but better (yum!). I liked the calamari. Some misses were the dim sum foods. Was looking forward to the shrimp crepes (chiang fun) but it was hard on the bottom like maybe it had been left out for too long. Same thing for the bao options. The general tso chicken had a strange taste and I've had better egg tarts elsewhere. Overall, the place was pretty busy. While the have a wide variety of options ranging from hibachi, pho, sushi, dim sum, and more. There really isn't anything that really a stand out. For the price point you cannot complain. You can get a lot of different seafood like crabs, crawfish, and shrimp. The quality is hit of miss. I know I cannot expect much from a place like this but everything felt a little on the dirty side. There was a lot of the plates seemed dirty even though they were new, the floor and tables were a sticky. I'm glad this place is still around, but I feel like it lost a bit of its luster. We decided to buy them a plate. When we went inside, the host said that it wasn't necessary and that they always help them. I told her that I still wanted to buy them a plate of food, and she got indignant and offended. we think she's racist. I told her that if she didn't like that we help them. she should call the police because they are asking for food, so no customer should go through this. at the end, we were mad she was mad which doesn't describe a welcoming and friendly host. horrible place. Where do all the lonely hearts go? Well, to Golden Buffet I guess. Yes, three American-Chinese buffets in less than a week, I know what you are thinking. Whoa man, easy on the fatty foods man! Yes. I am taking a break from them after today. I had to try this one out after being near the TJ Maxx in Baileys. It is quite amusing to see two buffets literally across the street from each other. This one was the better one reviewed. I also wanted to go to CiCi's, but I saw the interior looked dirty, and only a few people in there eating. Never a good sign, so I went with Golden. Once inside, you pay your fee up front before eating. Seriously? What is up with the pre-paying? I have never ever had to do that at a buffet until I came here. My guess is there has been several case of dining and dashing. In any event, once you do that, then they get you your table. I scanned the buffet options. The buffet is numerous, but the soup is in a weird location. I also did not like that they did not serve Wonton soup here! But I can let that pass because their hot food options were good. I really enjoyed the selection and they were good about making sure the food stayed hot. The customer service was also really good. Two complaints other than the soup options, 1.) The desserts were pretty weak. The fruit did not look too fresh, and the sweet options fell just short of being pretty good. Some of the cake actually was quite bland. 2.) Not a lot of clean plates. Many of them still had food crud on them, others were not properly dried down, with water residue still on them. I experienced unbelievably bad service after living in the US for over 23 years. During our long weekend dinner, two servers, one Chinese and one Spanish, ruined our experience. While I was eating, I began choking and needed a refill of my diet Pepsi. I requested a drink about 10 times over nearly 20 minutes, but my order was ignored. Finally, a young person who appeared to be Spanish knew what we wanted but walked past us without offering any beverage service. She derided us with a smile (Why did she direct her derisive smile towards us when she said she smiled because she wanted to, huh?). I was furious and explained the situation at the counter, and only then did I receive a drink. As a result, our family lost our appetite. When the Chinese server asked if I was done, I replied that I did not want to touch the food. Meanwhile, my sister was still working on her plate. Suddenly, the server went to the kitchen and brought a "tip" container. She was very quick in her attempt to collect tips from the customers. What other explanation could there be for this behavior other than telling us to leave? I strongly advise against visiting this place, especially if you expect prompt drink service. Refills are not provided, and the servers are irresponsible and disrespectful towards customers. Moreover, the food wasn't up to par either. read more

The food is actually quite good for Chinese buffet fare. I was so excited to see that they had a made-to-order Pho station as well as dim sum... YUMMO! The pho isn't the best, but it's decent and you can't beat the fact that it's all you can eat. I recommend coming here in the early evening, around 5-6pm as that's when I've found the food to be freshest and most plentiful. This is the largest buffet I've seen in Virginia and they have a wide variety of foodies to choose from. The restaurant is very spacious, well-maintained, and clean. They have your typical display of salads and American fare, like chicken fingers, fries, and pizza, but they also have great seafood, sushi, dim sum, pho, congee, soups, and a plethora of meats and Asian-fusion dishes. They have the normal fruit and cake dessert displays, but around the corner near the sushi area you'll find ice cream, popsicles, and some of my favorite sweets like, the fried Chinese doughnuts and sesame balls. The servers sometimes hover a bit, but it doesn't bother me much... I appreciate that they're quick to clear empty plates as I'd rather not have people knowing that I'm on my 5th plate. As expected, the food is freshest during their busy hours. Avoid coming two hours prior to close as that's when they typically stop replenishing the food. Also, I'd avoid coming when they first open because you'll probably be eating last night's leftovers. This is my favorite buffet in Virginia, and all my friends and family love it as well. * Just a note: the boba drinks aren't that great in my opinion.
