    Three ingredient knife cut noodles
    Justina C.

One of my all time favorite restaurants! I've been going here for years ever since I was a little girl. Every time I come back home to SoCal, I always ask my family to come eat here. I love the knife cut noodles here, it has the perfect blend of spice and rich flavor and the knife cut noodles are clearly cut by hand, with a nice thickness. We also always get the scallion pancakes which I love so much. I look forward to coming here every time. Truly a hole in the wall spot!

My lunch was ok. But I wouldnt return America is comin for your oil Golden China restaurant lol!! Food taste/quality 2/10 Just because the food is covered in excessive amounts of oil and is not very good either. Lacks flavor. I ordered the shredded beef for lunch. I would've loved to add some chili oil to my beef but the condiments were very sus. They look old and like they haven't been touched in ages. Ive never seen naturally separated sriracha before. I really enjoyed the dead quiet atmosphere though it was strangely peaceful sitting down enjoying my greasy thing strips of beef & rice bowl. This place is obviously struggling but now Ive gotta go home and rinse all the oil off my cheeks and regurgitate about a gallon of cheap oil. I wish I had more to say but thats about it. The table across from me sat dirty and filled with used dishes from the previous customers (rare) fromtime I walked in to the time I finished writing this review. As I'm waiting I noticed the entire restaurant was full of uncleared tables. I feel bad for them Anyways, that's my honest take on this restaurant

my to go order vs they made for good review

The owner find somehow deleted my review. Last wk We had $54 to go order. Then we only took no more than 4 bites, all main materials were finished. It surprised me that such few amount of real food they put in. 95% were cabbages and carrots or Tofu. Meat just few piece for half person. However, the price was not that cheap. It was about the same price as other restaurants, but only less than half of other's quantity. Tasted pretty much like the premade sauce, not good. The owner claimed that was just what they were and nothing wrong with it. They wanted to recover from yelp review. Instead of correcting the problems,They got their ppl to made some new good reviews within one day.

Golden China Restaurant is located inside the 99 Ranch supermarket in the city of Rowland Heights. This small place has that old-school vibe where it just seems like they know how to cook traditional Chinese dishes. This place has been open for a long time and it was recently my first time enjoying a few meals here. I usually come here during dinner time when I want or need to buy something at the supermarket. Service is quick and the ladies are pretty nice. The food is sharable and you should come here with a few people so you guys can share the food. I love their soups it's nice and light and you should always order soup because it is hot and usually for Chinese dinners you should have some sort of soup! We ordered this deep-fried chicken it comes with a lot of chilis but doesn't worry it isn't super spicy! But if you are scared you can let them know you want less chili. Broccoli beef has water chestnuts inside which I rarely see places do but this is my favorite! My friends like their pork dumplings from here and they say it tastes better than any other place. So if you a fan of these maybe try it out from here!

刀削面 Knife Cut Noodle with Black Bean Paste

This restaurant is on the side of the 99 Ranch Market! After a good hour of shopping cardio, I decided to award myself some delicious noodles. I read on their window that they are known for their knife cut noodle with black bean paste so thats what I ordered right off the bat! I live about 30 minutes away and the noodles even survived the car ride. And it is what it lives up to be! The noodles are cooked perfectly with just the right amount of soft and chewyness that I love. The black bean paste is seasoned well with generous portions of tofu and nuts. The nuts give it a fun crunch.. The cucumbers add a freshness to the dish. I loved it so much! I'll definitely be back to try more things.

Knife cut noodles are my favorite! Finally: I have found the restaurant who serves the best knife cut noodles! We ordered: Peking BBQ pork, sour cabbage knife cut noodles, green onion pan cake, spicy stir fried bean cured & fried tofu! Love the dishes, noodles: authentic & delicious! Will definitely come back again!

    Green onion pancake

Golden China's green onion pancakes are iconic and must have when in Rowland Heights!! Nothing beats the smell of fresh, piping hot green onion pancake, gyoza and chive pancake! These are staples to my trips to the area and always a huge hit amongst my family! They now have both dine-in and take-out options!

Fried Pork & Leek Dumplings. They were quite good.

This place is alright. The food is pretty good (though the pricing seems at least a tad higher than their competitors). The service is pretty friendly and non-rushed (though also expectedly lacking in attention - you didn't really come here with high expectations for service, did you?). Parking is available in abundance. I'd come back here again. ... That's about it ...

This is one of the best dishes that they cook this place is very authentic Chinese food. I will definitely come back again.

I think this place is one of the best Chinese food. I don't know why people will give one star this is definitely a five star restaurant.

My girlfriend and I eat here every weekend. Two dishes are more than enough food for two people. The flavors are delicious and the prices are super reasonable particularly if you go for their lunch special! Highly recommend!

Their HK style food is authentic and delicious. We started with the hot and sour soup and it is literally the best version we have ever had. It had a bit of the Szechuan numbing spice and was a huge portion so we took half home. We also ordered their steamed rice rolls with shrimp and chive and you can tell it was made fresh by the wrinkles in the rice paper. The last item we ordered was their chinese sausage clay pot. It was exactly what we were craving. Crispy rice all along the edges with perfectly steamed rice, chinese broccoli and crispy chinese sausage. It was hard to choose because their menu was huge and we came late so we missed the pineapple buns but definitely need to try it next time. I also saw everyone ordering the lemon iced tea and realized it's because they do free refills! That's another need to try. I felt the value was really great and we definitely are coming back. Service was also great. The waiters quickly came over when you waved them down and they checked on you just the right amount of time. The decor inside is very cute and I love the retro style. Only complaint I would have is that we sat on the left side of the restaurant and there were quite a few mosquitos on the booth so we ended up sitting on one side.

It took about ten minutes for us to get a booth table, but we were waiting inside. The staff member called numbers firstly in Cantonese then in English. After we sat down, the waiting line persisted past 1 pm. Similarly, the bustling loudness continued on during the course of our meal. Food arrived quickly, however. The price point for the delicious food is competitive. We got French-style filet mignon ($18.99), braised tofu in brown sauce ($14.99), chicken chow mein ($14.99), and a steamed rice noodle roll with barbecue pork ($5.99). A pot of rice was included in our meal. The steamed rice noodle roll with barbecue pork was a nice appetizer that arrived first. I enjoyed how the French-style filet mignon was garnished with Thai basil, black pepper, and ginger. The meat was flavorful and tender. The braised tofu in brown sauce was consistently hot on the inside. The delicious brown sauce soaked throughout the vegetables. The chicken chow mein didn't have a lot of sauce, but it was still delicious with a lot of meat included. Overall, it would be nice to visit again outside of a peak time because the food prices are competitive. The menu is expansive, and the breakfast selections look interesting. The atmosphere during the Sunday lunch peak time was consistently bustling. I think the restaurant started to play Chinese music loudly at random points so that people could finish dining more quickly.
