This is my first time at this specific location, the other one I visited was Cary or somewhere else in Raleigh I believe but this one I will say didn't have cotton candy , the other one does and this one had a better ice cream swirl than the other one , it was like a pineapple guava. If I was there for just the food, no problem but I didn't receive customer service here. I came in because I had a bday buffet BOGO coupon. For first timers, don't expect them to help tell you where to go because they won't. I was standing in the to go line because there was absolutely no clear signage or people there to say which was for to go and which was for dine in, after a couple minutes she said next and waived us over.. she didn't say hey, nothing . No thank you, come again, literally said nothing besides the total of the buffets. After getting the plate, realized no forks, turns out they were at the front where they should've been given to us. We came here for a birthday dinner. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Our server also brought out a special dessert for the birthday girl. Everyone enjoyed their food and being able to be seated in a semi-private space was a plus. There is a large private parking lot and lots of seating inside. Some days are more popular than others. Visited here late on a Saturday night. All I tried was fresh and the hot items were hot. Our waitress was Sally and she gave us excellent service.....better than some fancy places I have been. The salad bar was amazing. I had a huge plate with many different items. My favorite entree was the beef with potatoes, carrots and onions. It was so tender no knife was needed. I got quite a few different veggies and they were all good. My favorite was the cooked cabbage and some cornbread. For dessert I tried blueberry pie, chocolate pie, chocolate chip cookie, and bread pudding. The bread pudding was the overwhelming winner here. Only regret was the drinks are way too expensive. Was hungry so I decided to go to this Gokden Corral by the house. I was greeted with a roach before staff. I haven't been back since.

We went for breakfast and I left feeling so sick. I had the quiche and it must have been sitting out too long, and it was runny pasty. I'm glad I didn't finish it as I knew I would have been sick not just feeling nauseous. They only had one chef making the omelettes and the line was very long. I was curious about how a buffet restaurant would operate during phase 2 reopening guidelines. This Golden Corral now operates in a cafeteria format. I went for lunch. First change you will notice is you is the beverage area is no longer self serve. As you go towards the food area, you will notice that you are guided through roped off areas to enter the line at one end, where you will be asked if you are dining in or doing take out. An employee will follow you through the entire line and plate whatever items you choose. Your server will bring the beverages and a roll to the table. I didn't get a salad but noticed that there were fewer salad options. Food was prepared as usual Golden Corral standards. Everything went well with the cafeteria format for me. Used to be good until today I noticed a roach crawling from the wall... I let the waitress know and had to wait almost 10 minutes just for the lady to tell me she's sorry. If zero was a possible review, that's what I would give disestablishment, by far the food with mediocre cold to the touch, but to be expected in a Buffet restaurant. To think we came in to have a Sunday dinner, coming from out of town and to have the cartel and the good ole boys racially profiled experience within this establishment the accusations that were put against me and my children to celebrate my daughters birthday was humiliated by far to say the least, we spoke with the general manager as well as the management, only to find out that after being accused of stealing drinks that were paid for on the receipt the individual who was identified as the server had the nerve to laugh. The food was pretty decent. The dining area was very clean but they could turn the music down a little. Our server, Juan, was very good and helpful. Our glasses were always filled with tea and our dirty plates were picked up quickly. The only complaint I had about my visit was the dessert area. It was 6pm and the desserts were either all gone or just about gone. Especially the good items like chocolate cake, banana pudding, cheese cake, and banana bread. You would think that they would keep a watchful eye on the counter to make sure they do not run completely out. My friend JimD had a craving on Sunday morning and well, I wasn't going to argue since it's only breakfast. We get to the parking lot and it is JAMMED! I guess people be hungry this early on Sunday... Inside we got in line, grabbed a self-serve soft drink and then paid at the cash register. Waited a bit for the dining room coordinator to find us a table (dude with the headset) and then it was off to our table! The place is B-U-S-Y with a lot of families and kids running around. At the table I order up some coffee, unloosen my belt buckle a notch and it's time to eat... The place is big with about eight food stations covering a variety of typical American food. There's a carving station, Southern, Mexican, Italian, Asian, Seafood, baked goods and dessert stand. There are some cook to order areas (omelettes, pasta) but most everything is self-serve from a steam tray. Golden Corral is bustling so you'll need to manuever yourself carefully through the crowds. Don't want to spill your plate o' food on top of an errant, ADD six year old! Golden Corral is basically fine for what you pay for, decent fried chicken, scrambled eggs, sausage and more. It sorta strikes me as a place that dishes out food like your mom would at home. Except in ginormous amounts! Finish off your meal with some cake, pie, cobbler or the GC piece de resistahnce, the chocolate fountain!! But who knows how many greasy, little fingers have been dipped into that chocolate, eh?! Now what can you say but Golden Corral does deliver the goods if you're looking for down-home basic American food. Out the door with a drink came to about $14 on the weekend, not bad. Omg where do i start with this one. All you can eat for $12 and its not those typical Chinese buffets. Me and my cousins came here for dinner labor day weekend and it was packed. As we were walking in i saw people leaving the restaurant full, rubbing their stomachs and looking like they could barely walk. I told my cousin ugh look at them, that's just greediness and i wont leave like that. First thing i have to say is "don't judge people until u walked a mile in their shoes. Lol" Well i walked their mile and left that restaurant looking just like or worse than them. SMH! :-) The food options were CRAZY!!!! I made sure i put very little of almost everything on my 3 different plates and can honestly say i didn't dislike anything. The food was nicely seasoned and delicious. I won't bother naming the foods because they had pretty much a lil of everything. For dessert, yes i had played myself to some cookies, chocolate cake, cotton candy and frozen yogurt. We had a party of 12 so we had to push two tables together and grab a booth . The food selection on the buffet was ehh. The rolls were hard and they still had breakfast items out. This is one of the best GC's we have been to. And we have been to dozens in dozens of states. Everything was fresh and cooked correctly. Even the hamburgers where done perfectly. The wait staff was attentive enough. Everything was clean and the place is large. There where several large groups when we arrived. I can only say good things about this GC. read more

I've ordered pickup here a bunch of times. There's always an issue when I go to get my food where they can't locate it. Here's the thing that really irks me: if you make a mistake, own it! Mooooooo. There I said it. I have been officially corralled and (surprisingly!) I rather liked it. . I will not even make up a story as to why we were forced to stoop to this not-yelp-like level. We were frickin' starving and couldn't think of what we were in the mood for. It was also 3:30 on a Sunday afternoon. We had missed brunches all over town, and it was too early for 5:00 dinner openings. We figured that the off-hour might actually mean less pandemonium at a place like this. Never having been inside this location, and always seeing lots of cars in the parking lot, we figured it couldn't be too bad, and at least there would be a variety. Weekend buffet that included steak, prime rib and shrimp was $12.99. It's self-serve your drink (unsweetened tea for us), while you wait in line to pay. $32 later we found a booth and hit the food. Now, we expected variety, but it very much exceeded both of our expectations. Favorites for me were the boiled shrimp, fried catfish filet with a wonderfully crunchy cornmeal breading, perfectly-cooked thin asparagus, brussels sprouts, yummy and not-greasy turnip greens, Italian sausage with peppers and onions, fajita steak, sirloin steak (wow! thick, cooked medium with a wonderful grill flavor). We worked our way through seafood, southern, grilled, Asian (not the best station), Italian and Mexican. You could even eat healthy here if you wanted to. Hah...good luck! I started off with that intent. People-watching is certainly interesting. It never ceases to amaze me how high folks will pile things on a plate, when they can go back as many times as they want. Isn't it hard to eat when it's piled that high? Obviously, this is not a peaceful, quiet way to eat. It is a feeding trough as expected, but the quality and quantity for the price are surprisingly good. It's like grazing through a cafeteria, a mall food court, local steak house and calabash seafood place at the same time. Topped off with a trip to the state fair for dessert. Love the mini donuts!!! Normally I like Golden Corral. This one isn't up to speed or GC has changed. The fried seafood was mostly breading. The scrimp were the smallest I've ever seen anywhere. I took an unknown baked fish which was fine. No one was working on the meat grill. I reached through and got a piece of sausage which wasn't good. Their pot roast was very good. Their dessert area used to be great. Not tonight. No sugar-free desserts at all. Everything was picked over and unkept. My wife got a baked potato that was cold.
