Always so good. We come here quite often. This time, we came here on Christmas day. We didn't want to cook. And it was the best decision. First time we didn't have to wait for a table. I always really enjoy their food. We ordered everything safely gluten free - a Celiac's heaven. We got general tso's chicken, chicken cho mein (sub rice noodles), and lemon chicken. All were so delicious. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly. Every one of them came up to chat with our 10 month old. Decided to go to Golden House Restaurant for lunch with my girlfriend. The staff greeted us as soon as we opened the door and made us feel welcome. The restaurant was busy, but we were able to sit right away. I ordered the Mongolian Beef and she ordered the Kong pow tofu. The meals were delicious! The vegetables were vibrant and fresh. Probably the best in town. You can tell they use quality ingredients and we didn't feel crappy after eating out weight in Chinese food, ha. Things we had; -Shrimp foo young & shrimp fried rice were packed with healthy sized shrimps -General Tsos, he loved it -Beef lo mein, this was new to us and unique noodle but tasty. -Moo goo gai pan, also new to us & would absolutely order again. -Crab Rangoons, not sure what it is exactly but these extra delicious and best I've had for takeout. -Veggie egg rolls, good but I want to try the chicken ones. We were starving and didn't want breakfast today, so we waited for Golden Palace to open. It was my first time here, and I'm so glad we came! The restaurant itself is small but really clean and nice. Our server was attentive and kind from the moment she saw us. She immediately welcomed us, took our drink orders, and brought over fresh crunchy noodles and warm sweet and sour sauce. She was busy with call in orders but never neglected us or the other people that came in. We had ice cold Tsingtao beer with our lunches of house fried rice (substituted beef for BBQ pork and added fried tofu) and the sesame chicken special. My date was pleased with the amount of protein in the fried rice and his dietary needs were cared for too. He gave me some of his fried tofu, and it was soft and crunchy at the same time. The egg flower soup that came with the special was delicate with a gentle chicken broth and thin, soft egg whites. The specials come with an egg roll or crab puffs, and I opted for the crab puffs; they were absolutely perfect! I can't wait to go back, honestly. read more

As a Celiac sufferer, Golden House has long been a favorite with their awesome gluten free options. We stopped going to restaurants due to Covid, and being high risk, haven't really resumed yet. So, with their current take out only model, we are happy to come grab food. Service is quick, and our order always right. This place was hopping when I went in, dine in and takeout. Service was very friendly. I did take out and must've just ordered the wrong thing. I ordered mushu pork and hot and sour soup. This restaurant is pretty small, it has a cozy feel to it. I ordered the lunch special and got hot and sour soup, someone else with me got egg drop soup. The consistency is almost gelatinous. The flavor of the hot and sour was pretty good, the perfect spice level for someone has a sensitive stomach. The service was alright the waitress was nice but could have been more attentive. The vegetarian beef with broccoli was not as flavorful as I was expecting but it wasn't bad at all. However, the vegetarian chicken with bean sauce was very flavorful. The vegetables in that dish were mostly peppers though. I think it's worth trying if you're vegetarian looking for more places to try. read more

The food is somewhat bland but that's because it's a healthy-option restaurant. No MSG and other junk like that. Well. Make sure you ask about EVERYTHING TWICE. We told our server we are VEGAN. NOT VEGETARIAN. And we specifically asked which noodles we could have and ere told the vegetable lo mein. Well? If you are looking for a good sesame chicken, go around the corner to Great Village Chinese. We got the sesame chicken here and it was 3/4s cabbage and a thin layer of chicken to make it look like it was full. They hid the cabbage. The dish was $12.95!!! Sesame chicken. Or should I say...cabbage dish with a side of chicken. My husband and I had 1 serving each, which means a table spoon full and the picture is what it looked like after. The pork chow mein was ALL cabbage and teeny tiny pork pieces. Where is the pork in the PORK chow Mein? DEFINITELY come here if you are vegetarian, if you are a meat lover, SKIP IT!! We spent $67 on vegetables, but purchased 3 meat dishes. WHERE IS THE MEAT? That's how they are making SO Much money!! Charging A LOT for "meat" dishes that have barely any meat! This was not our first time ordering from Golden House. The food is consistently excellent, not skimpy with ingredients or size of entrees. This pick up order for our group included crab puffs, chicken egg rolls, shrimp egg foo yung, mongolian beef, beef teriyaki and orange chicken. We gave this place 2 tries and I'd rather eat microwaveable ramen noodles. There is a friendly young man at the door but the customer service stops there. They seated us then we got ignored while they took the orders of several people who came in after us. They brought waters for only some of our party of 7. We had to flag down the check out person to after waiting several minutes for water. Then they brought out the soup. Again for only 4 of us and after waiting 3-5 minutes we again asked another server for our other soups. They have things on the menu but refuse to sell it. If you ask for a manager they say no. We order soda at a $4 cost and never offered a refill: The portions are small. The food is good but not worth the horrible service. read more

We ordered Twice Cooked Pork which was prepared with BBQ pork(yum yum,) Moo Shiu Vegetables(which came with an abundance of pancakes,) and Mongolian Vegetables. The food is always fresh and great tasting! If you haven't dined in I would do so because take out doesn't do the food justice with it being so hot it creates that condensation that makes things not so crispy like orange chicken or general tsao. The chicken and black bean sauce was tender and delicious but very little chicken and sauce in a mostly vegetable dish.
