    Honey walnut prawns
    Brittany C.

Never again! Sadly the Chinese restaurants are both closed on Sundays now which resulted in us ordering here since it was the next closest spot. Never again! First of all, parking SUCKS! Portions are small and the taste/quality are just not there. We ordered combination chow mein, combination fried rice, honey walnut prawns, Mongolian beef and potstickers. The pot stickers were the best Mongolian beef didn't look good and to me but had lots of flavor but didn't taste right. Prawns had barley any of the sauce on it and was a very small portion. The rice & noodles were good but each had about 2 small shrimps each that tasted fishy.

Black Pepper Beef Fried Rice [$9.25, 2.0 stars]

Staying at the AC Hotel Oyster Point with a bay view is quite spectacular. Being hungry isn't. I didn't feel much like heading out by Uber, to/from, so delivery seemed to be a great option. Thus, Golden Moon enters the picture. Using my handy-dandy app, Grubhub by Yelp, I selected a couple of choice entrees, and it was delivered to my room in about 50 minutes. 1. Black Pepper Beef Fried Rice [$9.25, 2.0 stars] -- looked and smelled great; but gristly beef made it just passable when picking them out. 2. Butterfly Shrimp with Bacon [$13.95, 4.5 stars] -- large portion, and at first I was like, "Oh my". Then, when the bacon was floppy and limp, I was like "Oh". Then, I had a few bites, and kept going, and going. Then, I was like, "Oh my Gawd". They also lose a half star for ignoring my comment of: "Chili paste, plate", of which, it did not have. Overall, I'd try it again. Of course, another order of that excellent Shrimp.

Order included rice but they forgot...... I didn't bother to go back & ask for it.

Don't let the 3.5 stars fool you! This place is by far the worst!!! THE WORST Chinese food I had! We ordered 3 dishes via online "grub hub" and it indicated rice was included for in the "specials" section but it was not...or perhaps they forgot! Mongolian Beef: all you taste is black pepper flavor. The beef was not fresh.... It was chewy and stringy Sweet & Sour pork, where's the pork? It was just fried batter with small pieces of what taste like left over, almost spoiled dried pork. General Tao chicken, Not sure what byproduct they out in there. Did not taste like chicken or maybe there isn't any chicken & fried batter. If you think my review sounds nasty .... Because it was! I fed my trash can the entire order. Price was extremely affordable..... I guess it's "you get what you pay for". And that this was a convenient location but no more. I'll rather drive further & pay more for edible food! If I can I give this place a -5 stars

    Large Westlake Soup
    Cliff H.

Had the large Westlake soup today. When they say large they're not kidding. That was the biggest bowl of soup I've ever seen or eaten. I think when they say large they mean family because the waitress even tried to offer me a smaller bowl. Somehow I finished it but I was a sweaty mess by the time I was done. It was boiling hot and I think there's white pepper in it. Anyways it has cilantro and I think ground pork and green onion and egg white drops (?) and some kind of broth. It was delicious and it cleared my sinuses. And for 10 bucks it was an incredible deal. I put a regular sized iPhone in the pic for reference.

Chicken with String Beans( separated the string beans) overcooked!
    Mauling W.

Craving Chinese food. Down the street from our neighborhood. Ordering online was super easy. Prices similar to other locations. Orders chicken fried rice, tofu with Shitake and zucchini, potstickers, and green beans with chicken. Fried rice and potstickers were great! Unfortunately, the tofu and chicken stringbeans were not good. Stringbeans were over cooked and tasteless. Don't know if they were old and had to deep fried again. The chicken was okay with the sauce but the combo of stringbeans and chicken did not work. Too much oil. The tofu portion was very good however it did not have any flavor except heat due to red peppers. Not even salted.

Came here with my partner and the waitress only wanted to approach me, and was not nice to my partner at all. When he was mid sentence ordering his drink, she cut him off and demanded to see his ID. ( mind you...it is also his bday...) A while later, we decided to get another round and he raised his hand hoping to get her attention. I completely understand that being a server is hectic and very stressful, but a little acknowledgment when you see your table asking for you should be bare minimum. She completely ignored him multiple times. When she finally came to our table and bluntly said to him " I see you okay. I'm doing other things but I see you. " she only wanted to speak with me when ordering also....which I found kind of weird. She is also not the nicest to the table next to us also, so at least it's not targeted. But aside from that, drinks and small bites are pretty standard for a cocktail bar. Nothing too special, but a good place to try with friends. The service mostly ruined it for us that night.

Used to serve anything that's both American and Italian, until Vanessa had made it into a family run small business restaurant which was absolutely welcoming for both locals and tourists alike since 2004. It's the only reason I come to 7 Mile House during Asian History Month that aims for Filipino fun. My specialty drink: Ube Colada (non-alcoholic). I want to try the Lambanóg, but it's few years late and I wouldn't mind since I prefer any drink that's zero proof. This creamy purple smoothie is so refreshing, I wouldn't mind getting a brain freeze. Main course? Actually, I take something out of the lunch menu, which is Beyond Burger; pickles at the top, lettuce, tomato, and cheese; old school American style with a plant based patty! I eat the fries first since they're fresh and chewy. Wish I stick around for an appetizer or a salad; but given that there's several people dining indoors while few of us outdoors, I'll have to pass. Before I walk a couple of blocks toward 7 Mile House, I noticed the gas prices for both gas stations are just as high as near my neighborhood. I'll be wondering how long will a famous family run restaurant can go an extra mile before it runs out of steam. For drinks, we tried the Ube-B-Boba and the Mango Margarita. The fish lumpia came out fresh from the fryer and was crispy, although pretty oily. The flavor was decent, but it really needed the soy sauce vinegar dipping sauce that came on the side to add some acidity and balance. The sweet chili garlic wings were good, but the sauce reminded me a lot of Mae Ploy sweet chili sauce. Both entrees were flavorful, but overall they leaned too salty for my taste. The pork adobo was tender, but I wished it had more vinegar and black pepper flavors. That's just how I enjoy my adobo though. I also found myself wanting more acidity in the sisig to cut through the richness. The drinks were fine. The Mango Margarita can be ordered blended or on the rocks. I chose it blended, but it was a little too sweet for my preference. The Ube-B-Boba was enjoyable but didn't particularly stand out. Overall, the food was fine, but nothing really wowed us. It's a decent spot, but I don't feel a strong need to rush back.

Burmese food is one of my favorite cuisines, so I was really excited to try this place. I ordered…read moreto-go, and the restaurant definitely feels way more catered toward pickup vs dine in. I tried: -Burmese spicy noodles with shrimp - The shrimp were really good, but there were only a few. The noodles were alright, but lacking any amazing flavors and there were far too many compared to the qty of shrimp. -Chili chicken - this was my fav, the dish was super flavorful and exactly what I hoped for. -Coconut rice - really good, and I love that they give more than just a tiny amount of the little coconut flakes on top lol. Overall a really solid option for Burmese takeout, but I wouldn't say it's one of the top Burmese restaurants in the city.
