This has surprisingly great bar food. I had the bbq burger, and it was perfect quality for the price. Would definitely order it again. They give you a ton of tator tots with it, but the tots definitely needed salt, they had a great crunch tho! I also tried the wings and they are a great choice - very typical game-day wing. One of my bosses got the nachos, he was obsessed with the nacho cheese. And my other boss got the breakfast burrito which she loved. They have a great beer selection. And while they can be a little slow, they're always nice and accommodating. They're right at the entrance to Grand Central Market, so you get a lot of good people watching. It's great that there's a Golden Road location here at Grand Central Market. I have been to a couple of their other locations and like their beer. I appreciate that they're here because you can order beer to go with your food. Unfortunately when I went they didn't have my first choice but they had plenty of options on tap. I was curious about the "beermosa" so here's what it is. It's Mango Cart with prosecco. They serve it in a smaller glass than their other beers. It wasn't bad. First time in the market was a little overwhelming on a Sunday with many people, so many options to choose from, got a coldie to calm the nerves! Great tasting beer. We've driven by the Huntington harbor location often and I've always wondered if it was worth stopping. So glad I know now that they have some decent beer! I had a mango cart michelada (highly recommend) and ordered a guava cart for my honey. So refreshing. The pub is right at the entrance where the angel flight railway is across the street, there is a bar but limited seating which was full, but no line at the time we went so we got our drinks pretty quickly. Steph G makes the best Michelada 10/10 Plus always offers to let me see the menu and makes sure I leave happy.

It was a Grand Central Market kind of night so my wife and I walked over and tried to figure out where to eat. After much deliberation, we saw some open seats and a menu with some burgers on it, so we sat down and ordered some food from Golden Road Brewing. This place had a nice vibe to it, the staff was super friendly, and the menu had the bar food you would generally want from a brewery on it. I ended up ordering the Spicy BBQ Burger on it and splitting an order of the chicken tenders and fries as our side dish. The french fries here were pretty solid, seasoned, and tasted pretty good, so no complaints there. The chicken tenders were super average and kind of just tasted like frozen chicken tenders, while the Spicy BBQ Burger was a bit of a mixed bag. Every aspect of the burger tasted good, except for the bacon. It's almost like they cooked the bacon at 900 degrees until it was rock hard and completely unenjoyable. When I broke a small piece of the bacon off, it basically turned to dust, it was truly awful. Overall, Golden Road Brewing was a mediocre experience and one I probably wouldn't try and relive. The service and the atmosphere was good, but the food just fell short and didn't leave much to want to return for. read more

The corner of the market where it's located is giving off some microbrewery vibes. With all the food spots within the market - and I'm not sure if this place is the only spot or how many spots in the market are allowed to serve beer/wine - it's a great place to grab a beer with your food from other spots. Another option is just ordering food from here along with your beer. There are also a couple of televisions there and a wide seating area so you can watch some of the game while enjoying some food and beverages. I personally got a taco from another spot and came here to order a lager to wash down my meal. The Thursday Night Football game was on as well so it was kind of a great setup. read more

Right inside the Hill Street entrance to the Grand Central Market. Walk right up a get a cold beverage. Not as large a selection as usual and IPAs were over half the selection. I was hoping for a Vienna lager but no luck. I chose the Galway Red and its fine. We sat down and talked at one of the many tables scattered throughout the GCM. I had no interest beyond beer at Golden Road and they have the largest selection in the GCM. read more

This is my first Michelada ever! It took me almost one year of living in LA to try one. I'm not going to lie. This was a pretty darn good Michelada, but to be fair, I've never had another one. So I can't compare this one to other ones. I got Mango Cart inside the Michelada. I'm really feeling this, Michelada! I will come back. We called ahead to make sure they could show a football game and were told yes, but they didn't have the channel. This one is street side directly on Broadway across from the Angels Flight station. Step up to Order take back to your table and it's a street side relaxing beer garden with really good traditional bar, food and excellent micro brews all locally produced (plus a few more commercial versions). Rarely a wait is required. and while you're waiting for your local beer, you could always head over to get fresh Carnitas from the other end of the market or a platter of Korean or American fried chicken to go with your wonderful suds. Checked out the Grand Central Market location of this local brewery. Golden Road is the best place in here to get beers to be certain. It also has some pretty okay food. A few things can get expensive. The prices aren't that crazy for around here though. Beers are the main thing of course. It's about $8 a pint. That's quite a lot even for a craft brewery it seems. For sure it's the worst thing about here. The best of the beers we got was the Lonely Tarts. It's a sour, made with guava and passion fruit. The food is mostly meaty. It's $7 for the Garlic Fries. Pretty good portion. Came with a lot in the bowl. The garlic flavor was just enough and not overwhelming. Have to say it has some great beers. It's kind of expensive for these, so just have to only get a few. The food is okay especially the fries, and there's some other things like wings and whatever. read more

I've been coming here for years for the avocado tacos. I've brought people from out of state for the avocado tacos. I've gone to all of the other Golden Roads just for the avocado tacos. I've bragged about how good the avocado tacos are to everyone. I've been craving their avocado tacos, so decided to drive to Anaheim with some family to have some. Talking them up all the way there and what happens when we get there ...No avocado tacos on the menu!! I asked the waitress and she said they literally just changed the menu that day and they no longer have avocado tacos!! She said they were one of the best sellers and didn't know why they took them off the menu. I had just told a coworker about them and he went a week before I did to try them, AND HE LOVED THEM!
