Goody's Donuts is such a sweet little gem in the neighborhood. I've only been in twice since moving here, but it's already become a favorite. The donuts are always incredibly fresh and taste like they were made just minutes before you walk in. I also love their Thai iced tea. It's my go to and they make it really well. The staff is super friendly and welcoming which makes the whole experience even better. Local donut shops just hit different and Goody's is exactly why.

Our old stomping grounds still has some of the best donuts around. We stopped in the newly rehabbed store for those treats, talked with the original owners, and had a good time. The donuts are always worth the time we'll spent!

Such a great donut place! One of the best I've had in a while in San Diego. My 3 year old asked for donuts for his birthday and he's into Mickey Mouse right now so we called up Goodys and asked if they could do some themed donuts and they did such a great job

Nice local donut shop where you can get many donuts, croissant sandwiches, and regular sandwiches

I came in to pick up a variety box of donuts and I was not disappointed. Everything was delicious!

I've been coming here since childhood. I think they have different owners now, but it's still the best neighborhood donut shop. The price is right too. Hope Goody's always stays great!

This has become our "special breakfast" spot for the kiddos! They love that the donuts are soft and delicious. They are also very big and filling for my kiddos. We also get the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich for my husband and he loves it. He usually dips it in buffalo sauce and it's become one of his favorite breakfast sandwiches.

Update! Goody's Donuts has changed owners again. The new owner Ulises is so sweet and friendly. He is the polar opposite of the previous owner who only lasted a few months. I am so glad that I can return to the shop. Even better, on occasion I get to see Norman and Jie (long time owners) as they fill in when Ulises and his wife need a break. The inside of shop recently underwent a few changes. There is a cute coffee prep/condiment table where you can customize your coffee. There are more tables for customers to sit and enjoy their coffee and donuts or to read the newspaper. The donuts are basic and no frills. Just a traditional, solid donut. Whether you enjoy glazed, cake, long john, old fashioned, jelly filled, cruller, raised, or a donut hole, Goody's has them. I think the glazed twist is still my favorite. If you are in the Serra Mesa neighborhood, stop by in the morning before they sell out and try a couple.

Goody's Donuts is located in Serra Mesa area of San Diego. I stumbled upon Goody's Donuts purely waiting in line for breakfast at a restaurant nearby. So glad I did stume here. Those donuts are REALLY LARGE! A donut and a coffee hit the spot. I fully enjoyed the mom and pop type place and also especially - in the wall were placques of donations, volunteer events - all great things to support the local neighborhood! ENJOY!

By far one of the best donut spots in the Serra Mesa area! They are open early for all your donut needs. The greatest thing I discovered about them is their sandwiches! There are also group orders you're able to place ahead of time. Super yummy coffee drinks (huge frappe fan & I've had them all), new drinks have been introduced in the last couple of months. One of the few places that also serves Thrifty ice cream still ! I frequently will get a triple scoop of bubble gum & mint with chocolate chips to go along side my donuts (if I'm going to have a cheat day, might as well fully enjoy it ). Parking lot is easy to navigate & no matter what time it is, there is always parking. Street parking also surround the complex the donut shop sits in. If you're ever wanting to sit & dine in with your yummy donuts that's always an option too. Very casual on the inside, tremendous/quick service, delicious drinks, yummy treats, & easy parking!

Came here on a weekday late morning. Not busy and there were plenty of donuts available. Nothing fancy, their selection was a good variety of traditional donuts. They also have a dining area with tables that is bigger than other donut shops. We picked up a dozen glazed donut holds and one buttermilk with chocolate frosting, all put into a brown paper bag. The buttermilk was quite large, very dense but still moist. I would've liked a bit more chocolate frosting, or maybe a stronger chocolate taste from the frosting. The donut holes were yummy. They are very airy, light, moist. They're a bit larger, about two good bites. They were glazed but not overly sweet or sticky. Thumbs up. Husband and I preferred the donut holes over the regular size buttermilk. Parking lot shared with neighboring businesses. Not really a place I'd go out of my way for, but definitely a good pick if you are already in the area.

This is a family favorite. They sell out pretty early and don't seem to make more throughout the day. Definitely try the donut holes.

What a cute boba spot. So happy they finally have one in San Diego and so close to my house…read more I love the ambiance of the place. It's super cute, pink and clean. There is no customer service as everything you order is through the kiosk, which is fine. The drinks come out quick which is a plus. I did pay extra for the cute surprise toy. I can't wait to come back and try other drinks and their mochi dough. Thanks Mochi Dough for a fun first time.

FOR THE WIN!!! (4.75 stars)…read more I love donuts. And I tend to stick to basic classical donuts. And therefore I am late to the trend with the mochi donuts! This location is inside Bober Tea and Coffee. There is a glass casing with several flavors to choose from and they sell at $3 a piece. The one that stood out to me was the chocolate with sprinkles. Upon receiving it in a paper pocket bag, the icing was rubbing off on the bag. That immediately told me this is super fresh! I could already feel the softness of the donut. The little sectioned off ball looking segments of the donut are also a game changer when it comes to eating - easier to eat without making a mess! The texture was bouncy, soft, lightly chewy and a little stretchy... the texture was fun and I found myself wanting another afterwards. I do wish they had offer other flavors that don't sounds too sweet because the other flavors didn't really catch me. Until the next review...

Our favorites we'd recommend is the coconut cream pie and the strawberry shortcake. The bacon maple still had an amazing texture and we loved how fluffy and satisfying the dough is made but I wasn't a fan of the bacon fat taste with the maple even though I usually like a sweet+savory combo. She was helping someone else but quickly wrapped up to take my order. The space was clean with plenty of seating. It was so hard to decide so I grabbed a few to share: Maple Bacon, Coconut Cream, Lemon and Horchata. I thoroughly enjoyed all of them and appreciated that they were not overly nor greasy. The fluffiness reminded me more of a beignet and brioche. Will be back to try more flavors! 5/13- We returned for more. These were made to order and topping to dough ratio was too much. Maybe they were being generous, but they were overly sweet today. Bourbon Caramel, Strawberry Shortcake, Lemon, Blueberry Hill, Mango Margarita and Turtle Cheesecake. All great flavors, just too much of it.
