We had birthday dinner here for my wife and brought our 9 year old son. He is into restaurants and cooking so we try to spoil him with the best and newest places for him to try. He has a great palate and has eaten in many nice restaurants all over the U.S. We read him the reviews of this place and talked about Chef Gorji most of the day leading up to the dinner. He was pumped. We had a great time, finished our appetizers, bottle of wine and meals and then Gorji ruined it. He walks out of the kitchen, says hi and happy birthday, and then proceeds to tell us "young" children are not allowed and we should have checked the menu online for this information. I have already spent $250 and 90 minutes of time at this restaurant and he decides to share this with us at the end of the meal for no reason. Our child hasn't misbehaved. My son is in tears and so is my wife (its her birthday). I thought he was joking but he wasn't and it was shocking. What a disappointment. I found him smoking outside as we left and let him know we weren't coming back. I have never been so insulted by an owner of a restaurant in my life. If you have well behaved kids that enjoy eating out, this isn't the place for you. read more

I simply love this place. I came here about once a month while I was in Dallas. I'll get right down to the review. ---The Selection--- 4 out of 5. I didn't see much by way of fish or vegetarian, but since I'm not a vegetarian or pescaterian, it didn't matter to me. Some of my usual selections are the lamb t-bone, NY steak, pork chop, and whole quail. Look for the daily specials that give you a combination of orders or new dishes altogether! ---The Food--- 5 out of 5. Look to order your steaks medium or medium-rare. This is one of those places that actually gives you what you want. When you say medium-rare, they give you medium-rare. Red in the middle, slightly warm. The taste, aroma, and texture are well balanced. Not overly spiced or salty, and not so bland where you think, "Hey, I could have grilled the same thing at home." Can't really say much more about the taste of steaks/meat. When it's good, you just know! ---The Wine, The Beer--- 5 out of 5. 2003 Sterling Cab. I think they ran out of this, but I'm just writing what I had. I really enjoy this wine. I think they're owned by Disney, so I just call it the Mickey Mouse wine. Soft, fruit forward, and definitely matches the dishes. Expect restaurant prices, but since it is a Sterling, it won't be too too bad. On days I don't feel like wine, the clear choice of brew is the Duvel. One of the rare places that serve it, Duvel is best enjoyed in the bell shaped glass. High alcohol percentage, plenty of hops and character. Watch out, though. Most Duvels are 8-12%. Don't expect to drink a whole six-pack on your own... ---The Service--- 5 out of 5. At first, I was weary of the somewhat pretentious atmosphere. Would that mean snobby servers? Should I expect to know "fine dining" to avoid looking dumb? Absolutely not. When the server came by, she seemed like a cheerleader on crack. Super nice, super sweet, and SUPER excited that you've come to dine at this restaurant. At first I thought it was an act, but every time I'm there, it's the same over-the-top genuine excitement. She was very helpful and asked a lot of key questions to make sure you understood the menu. She also came by very often, if just to see if we needed anything. She would pop her head over, check our water, wine, and bread stash, and come back with more. Not an in-your-face-ask-what-you-need-every-3-minute style. Can't beat service that's done proactively and with a smile. ---The Location--- 3 out of 5. Okay, I don't know the area too well. But I know it enough to say that there isn't a flurry of "hip" activities around this area. Still, parking is good and proximity isn't a problem. This place is very tiny and very easy to miss. They literally had about 10 tables in the restaurant and the staff was maybe 2 people? We thought we'd check it out because they had interesting options for their Restaurant Week menu and boy, we sure were in for a good surprise! Started off with the escargot. It was cooked slightly different from how other places typically cook it because it actually was in some tomato based sauce. Surprisingly, I really liked it even though it wasn't what I expected. The sauce was good and the escargot was perfectly tender and it also had a good portion for an appetizer. It came with this biscut-bread hybrid kind of thing but I was too full from the bread they gave as we waited for the rest of our party. For our entree, we got the lamb tbone with quail. The lamb's flavor was a bit too smoky for me but ti was cooked perfectly medium rare and the texture was amazing. The tzatziki sauce that it came with helped with the smokiness though. The quail on the other hand was WOW amazing. We got a good portion of the quail and although it looks like it was barely seasoned, it was so full of flavor with a little kick too! It was nice and crispy as well. This dish came with some veggies, okras and carrots. The okras were cooked really good (grilled), the carrots were okay. It also came with a very small portion of tabbouleh which was good but not too amazing. For dessert, I got to try a few things, the date & turkish kefir butterfly, the chocolate liqueur cake and the 4 berry sorbet. The sorbet was nice and light, very refreshing. The date & turkish kefir butterfly was actually this really light fluffy cheese with crackers that were glazed with this very tangy sauce. The cheese and crackers were good but the glaze was extremely sour and almost unpleasant. The chocolate liqueur cake was very good!!! It was so soft and moist that it felt like I was eating a mousse cake. Overall, I had a great experience at this place. The manager/owner always checked on us and kept us updated on the status of our food. The food was very interesting, not the typical fare you'd see at restaurant week but it was a good change. ** Hidden Gem ** Hands down one of the best, if not THE BEST fine dining experience in Dallas/Addison. If you are a foodie and have not had the pleasure of dining at Canary by Chef Gorji then you are truly missing out on an exceptional dining experience. Chef Gorji is a wonderful breath of fresh air for the Dallas culinary scene. He uses a simple yet abundantly flavorful cooking technique that created a party in my mouth and left me anxiously awaiting the next course. After being completely blown away by a fantastic three course meal, I could only scratch my head and wonder why I had not heard of him or his amazing restaurant. For example, Trip advisor lists Canary as the only 5 star reviewed restaurant and it is listed as #192. I know you're asking, "Who in the hell uses trip advisor to find a great culinary experience?". This is just an example of a great chef being overshadowed by many of Dallas corporate restaurants. On a hot Texas summer night on August 2013, what is there to do? Restaurant week! We got to enjoy this restaurant week adventure with some fantastic friends. What makes this night better? Well...Delicious food of course! Chef Gorgi did not disappoint at all. We asked our friends to join us, so thank goodness we didn't steer them wrong =) Canary by Gorgi's is a small, romantic, classy, restaurant but with a touch of friendliness to it. This extra touch is brought out by the smile and attentiveness of the Chef and Owner, Chef Gorgi. We went with 6 other people. Other than myself, the other 7 people in our party ordered the wine pairing. Our extra course is the butter poached shrimp on top with grilled chill avocado. This was free with the Central Market coupon, but we would've happily paid an extra $7 for this. It was YUMMY! The shrimp was cooked perfectly, and the grilled avocado was just ripe enough but not over done to where it is mushy. It added a great texture with some smoothness to the dish. Tomato sauce paired well and finished it off with some acidity. The Escargot and the Seared Scallops was our appetizers. The escargot were extremely tender and seasoned very well. They were cooked in a rich pomodoro mushroom sauce which you cannot get enough of. They came with some round toast points to pair the dish. Our friends loved it and even the people who haven't tried escargot before fell in love that night. Sorry about the scallop photo, I think I started eating and forgot to take the first picture. The scallop dish was nicely done as well. The scallops were seared to perfection. The sugars were caramelized on top and juicy in the center. This was paired with a cucumber, tomato, dill and goat cheese salad. What a great combination. This made the whole dish light enough for you to have a few more. Our two main dishes : Lamb T Bone with Quail and The Artic Char with Shrimp. The chef was very attentive and came to inquire if everyones lamb was cooked to their liking. This was nice and made everyone feel extra special. And yes! Everyone had a lamb that was cooked the way they wanted. The lamb was juicy and had a great lamb flavor, the quail was also extremely flavorful and prepared well. The skin was slightly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The Artic Char was also a great dish. The fish had its skin on, just the way I like, the skin was seared and crispy, and the fish was cooked just right. The fish was very fresh. The shrimps were butter seared and a good size. Chef Gorgi added a slightly sweet acid touch by adding some barberries and a white wine sauce to finish. Then last but not least desserts. The Kefir Butterfly with Dates or the Chocolate Liqueur Cake with Berries. The Kefir Butterfly was nicely done. The Kefir has a good tart flavor, velvety texture paired with wafer, honey, and dates. Personally I think this is a very sophisticated dessert, and it is not something you can get at any restaurant dessert menu. The chocolate cake was decadent! The presentation was stunning! The cake was moist, the liqueur flavor was just right, and the right amount of sweetness. The berries helps break the richness. My friend said she would come back just for this if she needed to. This is by far the best experience you will ever have in DFW. I haven't been everywhere, but I clearly try plenty of nice places. I love that when you walk in they know who you are and greet you promptly. Lawrence has been the only waiter there each time I have been and he does an outstanding job. There are only 12 tables total in the whole place. It has a modern but intimate/romantic feel. I honestly like that there is a place in Dallas I can go and not hear kids screaming or be rushed out before I have even finished my dessert because the restaurant would like to seat the next guest. They have oil candles on the table with little flowers. Everything is tastefully decorated and well kept. The waiter brings us a palate cleanser of champagne and cranberry before taking our order for drinks. He also swiftly brings out some toasted bread and olive oil with parmesan. These items are both compliments of Chef Gorji. We placed our drinks, appetizer and food order promptly there after. I like that we have time to enjoy our appetizer and each other before the Lawrence comes back to take our entre order. They will of coarse accommodate you however you'd like to do things, but I highly suggest taking your time :) A little side note: leave your cell phone in the car on the night you go. It truly makes it all the more enjoyable for you and everyone else. We tend to order the hummus at Gorji's because I love the garlic infusion. We've also had the brie and garlic which is incredible as well. I like that both of these apps come out rather quickly. The hummus is delicious blend of chickpeas, oil, garlic and I am sure some additional seasoning. The entrees are INCREDIBLE! It is so rare to find a perfectly cooked and seasoned steak that is served up so hot and tender. I eat every bite, every time. Delish! Let's not forget about the scrumptious veggies that are served with I believe every meal. The carrots and okra both still have a nice crunch and great flavor. This time I decided to try the poached shrimp with parmesan infused basmati rice. The rice is absolutely amazing. just ate at Canary for Restaurant week and thought is was lovely. I had the optional Canary Escargot with Pomodoro, Gorgonzola and Barbari Flat Bread; Butter Seared Scallops with Gazpacho Salad; Lamb T Bone & Grilled Quail with Tabbouleh and Tzatziki; and Armenian Nazook Gata Pastry with kiwi, berries & clotted cream vanilla custard. The escargot was the best I have had in like 10 years, which is not saying much. However, I liked how it was different from the traditional ways that it was served. His tomato sauce was very fresh and tasty and I enjoyed that it had very little cheese on it as an accent along with the fresh basil. I LOVED the seared scallops dish. I would not call the tasty dish on the side gazpacho. Same ingredients but in a nicely diced salad. It was extremely tasty and went well with the two jumbo scallops served with it. It was actually my favorite dish of the night. You got a nice light salad paired with two perfectly seared buttery scallops. The lamb and quail were also very tasty. The quail was extremely juicy and well seasoned. The lamb was okay. It was not as tender as I would like it and the seasonings were just okay. I think my lamb t-bones are tastier. The dessert was very tasty. I wish it was bigger (yeah I am very greedy with dessert). It was a nice light pasty with a cream, raspberry sauce and some fruits on top. It was very nice and light for the summer and melted in my mouth. The service was also excellent. There were some times that I was waiting a bit and I was the only person that had ordered (I went in when it opened); however, I eat super fast so I am not a good judge of that. Cute restaurant, the owner runs the kitchen himself and comes out to greet you at various times when it's not busy. The waitstaff were brand new when I went so it was definitely a little rough, but understandable. The food was good, but not great. The duck breast appetizer was amazing, cooked perfectly with great flavor. I thought my paella was just OK. The portion size was pretty small for an entree and the flavor wasn't bold enough. For me, the best paellas burst with flavor in your mouth and this one just didn't. Overall, it was a good but not great experience. We saw Chef Gorgi's sunshine smile through the shinny chrome glass door. He sang my reservation name as we entered a subtly lit not too dark and tastefully adorned restaurant. With only five tables the space is intimate and has an exclusive feel. With a elegant matador gesture, Chef Gorgi guide us to our white cloth table. We sat down feeling very comfortable and very accommodated. We had the four course prix fix dinner which touched our palates with his heart and a technique that elevated seemly "simple" dishes. Food that made us feel good by just looking at it. Food that made us happy. I visited Canary last night for my birthday. It was my first time to the restaurant and I was very impressed. The service and the food were impeccable. Our courses were timed out perfectly, so we were able to take all the time we needed to enjoy our dinner/experience. The owner, Gorgi, was very personable and gracious towards us, as was our waiter (I forgot his name). The food is upscale Mediterranean. We started out with the escargot, which was very nicely cooked. It had a perfectly seasoned sauce that included tomatoes, mushrooms, basil, and parmesean cheese. We then split a caesar salad, which was traditional, yet delicious. My date and I had the ribeye and lamb, respectfully, and both were absolutely to die for! I was a little reluctant to order the lamb because I thought the Mediterranean touch of tzatziki sauce wouldn't be so great. I am so glad I was wrong because it was an amazing dish. The lamb was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My date's ribeye was the same...melt in your mouth delish!!! I definitely recommend visiting Canary, especially if your looking for an amazing meal. An absolutely exceptional meal, and one of the best Restaurant Week experiences I've ever had. Canary by Gorji's is a little 10-table restaurant in Addison. The food is fantastic: creative, and beautifully executed. The pace of the meal was perfect (you'll never feel rushed, but you'll never be waiting for your next course, either). Your wonderful dinner starts with complimentary bread and dipping sauce. "Olive oil and spices," you think, "I've had that before." No, you haven't. Gorji adds lime juice to his dipping sauce, and it's brilliant. Between the four of us, we ordered everything on the Restaurant Week menu. I'm not normally brave about eating unusual animals, but the escargot in pomodoro sauce was amazing. Even if you're not an adventurous eater, this is worth stepping outside your comfort zone. Everyone loved their main course (and we only begrudgingly shared our plates with one another). My filet (with gnocchi) was divine. My husband said his lamb t-bone was the best lamb he'd ever had. Our friends raved over their arctic char (fish). For dessert, the chocolate-lovers swooned over their chocolate layer cake, but I actually thought my sorbet was the best of the desserts. You may not expect much from a sorbet, but this was exceptional (with bits of fresh strawberry!). I can't believe this place has been in business for 10 years and I'm only just hearing about it now. When taking the time to write a review, I want it to be valuable to other diners. Why should you invest your time and money to dine at this restaurant when you have so many other options? Addison has thousands of restaurants. The small "Village on the Parkway" shopping complex lists 17 of them. With so many good restaurants, we foodies are searching for the great ones. And, Canary by Gorji is exceptional. It is exceptional for several reasons. Service, Quality of cuisine. Ambience. And Service. (yep, I said it twice) Service - first - is for the wait staff. From the greeting at the door and quick seating to their knowledge of the menu and discreet service, they are well trained with just the right amount of attentiveness. Quality of Cuisine - It's the attention to detail that make Canary exceptional. Our optional fourth course, served first, was described as a Lasagna, but not like any we'd had. It was spinach and cheese layered in fresh pasta and served with chef's award winning Texas chili, topped with a creamy goat cheese. It was spicy and delicious. Next was a Perfectly cooked escargot with a light fresh pomodoro & just a bit of creamy gorgonzola and the sweetest butter seared scallops served with a slightly tart minced gazpacho salad were our appetizers. A grilled lamb T-bone served with tzatziki and a grilled quail over the brightest tabbouleh was hubby's entrée. The lamb was seared a delicate pink. The quail was tender and juicy. The tabbouleh, fresh and citrus-y, was some of the best we'd ever had. My sirloin was truly grilled perfectly and served with a gnocchi in very rich delicious cream sauce. Dessert was flourless chocolate cake and the kefir and Medjool date butterfly. The cake was recommended to me by our server who described it as his favorite, a rich balanced chocolate with a creamy frosting and fresh raspberries. It was! The butterfly was about contrasts. The creamy tart kefir, the sauce of reduced pomogranate, the rich sweet soft Jordanian Medjool dates, the crisp sesame wafers all combined to create a complex delicious dessert. Ambience - This is a small intimate place. The 10 tables are just far enough apart to ensure quiet conversations yet the small size gives you just a small glimpse into the complexities of service as you hear the chef calling out plates and tables for his servers. It's not ornate or ostentatious, but has a soft elegance. Service - second - is about the chef. Even though you hear him orchestrating the kitchen, he ensures each person is satisfied and makes sure to thank every diner. A final word. Don't mistake simple for easy. The thing that kills me about your "mediterranean" restaurants in Dallas, is tha even tho they have terrific food, the wine list is usually overloaded w/ wines from California, and maybe some French selections as well. I have only been twice, and both with my BF's family for special occasions because we for sure cannot afford this level of swag on our own. Both have been absolutely fabulous experiences. Most restaurants produce food in mass quantities, but this fine dining venue is the complete opposite. The food is cooked exclusively to order, and it is apparent how much care goes into everything. I do exaggerate a lot, but it is no hyperbole in stating that the steak I had here was by a very very long mile the best steak I have ever had. Best as in #1, incomparable to the 20+ other places from which I've had $50 steak. The bread served before the meal is also fantastic, has a delightful texture, crunch and it is served warm. There wasn't much I didn't love about this place. The inside décor was very well done - warm and inviting. Very friendly service, no wait with a reservation (needed as only a few tables). Chef Gorji visits every table several times to make sure you are pleased. On to the food...We went during Restaurant Week and it was a fantastic menu. The grilled Italian bread with Chef's dipping oil was a great start with our wine. Lots of choices on the wine list and have to say our wine was excellent, but just to warn he has a pretty expensive list (house wines start at $15). The first course, Gorji Escargot (mixed with sliced portabella and Pomodoro sauce) was outstanding. The homemade feta and pomegranates was very good as well. My spouse had the quail and lamb T-bone (with grilled vegetables and gnocchi) for her entrée. Everything on the plate was cooked to perfection, with both meats being tender, juicy and flavorful. It was a bit too much pepper for her taste, but still very enjoyable. I had the prime porch chop with grilled vegetables and gnocchi. This tender and juicy pork chop was the best I have tasted. Those first two courses were as good as any restaurant I have dined. Desert did not disappoint as we had the ice cream topped with mulberries and pistachios, and the homemade Kefir & Medjool Date Butterfly. Both were good, but the Kefir was the best we felt. What do you do when your partner for life wants to find a new restaurant? Look on Yelp, OF COURSE!! Me, I like to find a good dig and stick with it. Hubby not-so-much. He was wanting a new NICE place for dinner. I don't know how I found Canary, but it sounded good, so we went! The place was surprisingly small, but very nicely done. Linen and all, just like I like it. The service was great, which is a must. I couldn't resist all the reviews about the ribeye, so I went for it, diet be damned! Leo Z. went for the lamb, and we started with a salad that was also excellent. The menu seemed to be more on the meat side and not that much fish, but like I said, I went for the ribeye, and BTW the was outstanding as well! We couldn't finish!! Entering to meet a business client on a rain/sleet/ice/snowy evening was worrisome enough, but add an unfamiliar restaurant and an empty dining room made the evening even more concerning. Waiting for an extra 30 minutes, alone, gave me time to closely examine the offering and hear the specials twice. 5 stars are held back for the very best. Ordering the Spearfish with puttanesca sauce was over the top - fabulous. Charred out and tender and moist inside blended with the ever so gentle mix of tomato, olive and seasonings. The sides of carrots and okra were perfectly seasoned and lightly cooked. This space is simple and a must try for foodies who love to eat and be cared for by the owner chef. read more

My boyfriend and I came here for date night this past Saturday. We just moved to the area and we've been trying quite a few places in the area. The restaurant is very small, quiet and intimate. Definitely make a reservation. There were only 2 servers that night, but they were totally on their game. The gentleman that was our server was incredibly knowledgeable, well spoken, and attentive, but not too attentive, perfect. I was so taken aback by the prices, I was surprised it was so expensive, but we never have too much time off and figured we would just splurge this one night. We ordered the Escargot as our starter, just fantastic, perfectly cooked. They are so difficult to get the right consistency, but they were so tender and the sauce was amazing, a red sauce with gorgonzola. We had the Grapefruit salad next, it was very light and fresh. Perfect between courses. For our entrees we got the Paella, and Rib eye. Both were cooked to perfection. The Rib eye had a pomegranate sauce and a side of gorgonzola gnocchi, and the paella was just incredible. I'm not enough of a foodie to describe the flavors, but it was just delicious. For dessert we had Tiramisu, and the Beer float, the beer float was odd but unique and intriguing. I didn't like the first bite, but after the 2nd, 3rd I was in love. Of course the Tiramisu was fantastic. Altogether it came out to about $220 for all courses and we each had 2 glasses of wine and including tip. We for sure can't do this every weekend, but I definitely feel as if we got our money's worth. The chef came out to speak with each table to make sure we were all happy. Might be one of my favorite restaurants in Dallas. The escargot was amazing to start with! Go for the wedge salad and either the filet or ribeye - both are amazing. You have all the big steakhouses in Dallas but I honestly feel like Gorji might make the best steak. Small, intimate place with an awesome wine selection. Gorji will usually come out himself and tell you what he is making for the specials and they are always superb. Definately a regular in our rotation! read more

Had lamb brains. Yup. I'd never had it before so I'm not sure if it was prepared well, but it wasn't bad all together. It felt adventurous all the way. The service was good. The cutlery could be more cooperative though - it's more artsy than practical. read more

Fantastic dining experience all around. We did not have reservations but we were also there quite early around 5:30 and simply walked in. Like others have said both servers were extremely knowledgable and personable. Gorji came out several times and talked to us and after discussing our homerism of Texas wines with him he demanded that we try several from Brushy Creek which we had not tried before. Excellent wines so we are headed there next weekend. His overall wine list is unique having a few Israeli wines to choose from. Never had wine from Israel but we committed to try one next time we are there. We started with the quail legs which were great. I had the beef tips over rice with pomegranate cream sauce which was incredible and one of the better dishes I've had in a long time. My wife had the snapper and she loved it. Definitely try the kefir(?) dessert. More of a savory dessert somewhere between a yogurt and cheese but dang it's good. Can't wait to go back. read more

We started with the eggplant appetizer & spinach salad (we liked the dressing so much we bought 2 bottles). My girlfriend had the prime tenderloin with pomegranate cream gnocchi, and I had the wild boar with scallops. And for dessert we had the chocolate liqueur cake. I can't say anything bad about any of it. It seems like a lot of food, but the portions were just right. The chef did an excellent job on the meat, and it was some of the best gnocchi we've had. Be sure to make reservations, they have a small dining room (~10 tables). And no kids allowed, so it's a nice atmosphere. read more

We absolutely love this restaurant! We were there last night with friends and had no trouble with our reservations or parking. We were warmly met at the door, and walked into a lovely room glowing in soft light from small oil lamps on each white linen topped table. Pretty vases of yellow flowers were charming and matched the gold walls. Huge windows with dark purple draperies looked out on large plantings on the patio outside. The restaurant is small, cozy and romantic. We were seated and served with a complimentary small glass of an aperitif made with pomegranate juice and sparkling wine--it was a delightful surprise and start of a delicious meal. The menu is varied with appetizers, salads, and main courses with delightful twists of Mediterranean ingredients and pomegranates used in sauces. I started with the Grapefruit and Goat cheese salad which was delicious and so pretty on the plate, One of my friends had the kale Ceaser Salad which he said was wonderful with very tender leaves of kale. My husband had a salad of spinach with fresh strawberries and a lovely balanced Strawberry vinegarette dressing. Lightly grilled bread with olive oil was served to us before the salad course . All was wonderful! On to the main courses.. The steaks are a specialty of Chef Gorji and include, beef filet, rib-eye, and a lamb steak. I had beef tips with pomegranate sauce served with rice and grilled veggies on the side. It was absolutely delicious! We also enjoyed Atlantic Char (fish), and a dish with large grilled shrimp with gnocchi in a light sauce. All were perfectly done and delicious with the chef's creative touches and pretty plate arrangements. One side of the menu was a list of wines from all over the world--our waiter was very knowledgable and we had a variety of both white and red by the glass--even a vintage from Israel. We loved each of our four different vintages so much that we each had two glasses. Dessert---wow! Great choices with lots of variety. We tried a delicious dessert made of kafir cheese (made by Chef Gorji) covered with sweet dates with two thin crispy disks of crackers. This was drizzled with a carmel sauce and plated to look like a beautiful butterfly. We also had three scoops of house made triple berry sorbet served in a stemmed glass. It was refreshingly tart with bits of berry showing through the pretty lavender sorbet. Cappuccino and European-style coffee completed the evening. Service was very attentive and polite. We were not interrupted while we were conversing-- our waiter stood patiently before telling us the specials of the evening. Our glasses were kept full, and any questions we had were answered Knowledgeably. Chef Gorji was a delight--coming to our table to make sure all was done to our liking. He is a lively man and very charming and likeable. He is cooking delicious food in the kitchen, but takes time to meet each table of patrons. That is a nice touch that makes the restaurant even more warm and comfortable. This is a classy restaurant, but not stiff or formal. I think it deserves patrons that dress up to enjoy the European-type venue. It is not a good place to bring children because it is very small and had a romantic, intimate atmosphere. Be sure to make reservations. It's a great place for first dates, or "date nights". Enjoy!!!! It was DFW Restaurant Week and it is the time to try places we don't normally try. Chef Gorjis has an amazing thing going here. I was so impressed with the service the food and the ambience during what was one of the best dinners I have had in a long time. The lasagna appetizer was spectacularly succulent and just the right amount of sauce to cheese ratio. But the Gorgonzola Gnocci was the as good if not better than Gnocci I have eaten in the NE or Chicago. I will never forget that flavor and that dish alone will bring me back. The Gnocci complemented the steak so well I just could not stop eating it. I will look forward to bringing foodie friends to this spot in the future and look forward to seeing Chef Gorjis smile when I dine again. Good to see the working Chef come to greet his patrons!
