Gone downhill from a couple of years ago. Prices have gone up and up and up and service is really bad. We had to wait over 25 minutes just to get our food. The water never gets refilled and we ended up going to the counter to pay because the waiter never came back to our table after dropping off the food. I really wish they were consistent with what it was like in the past. The food used to be amazing and service was decent for an Asian restaurant. Now you get cold and indifferent waiters and waitresses that don't even check up on you after dropping off the food. Boba tea is one of the best things to happen in my life so when I discovered this place my heart couldn't take it. Then I found out that they serve Pho and I was going to drop dead.! The food and boba was really amazing the thing that really disappointed me was that the service was not great I waited so long for my food to come, I asked the nice gentleman to please give me chop sticks or silverware so I could eat my food but he forgot and I was waiting for a while till I got them. They have the best boba tea and smoothies in Utah! I absolutely love their taro boba. My daughter loves the BOM(banana, orange, mango). The only downside is that there can be a long wait(15+ minutes) on a busy day, but it is worth the wait! read more

They have the best boba (tapioca) drinks in town! Their boba is always cooked perfectly and their blended drinks are fresh and refreshing. Their food is also great. this place sucks. the boba is hard and they're slow. everything tastes like powder and the ice blended drinks have huge chunks of ice still in it. Not sure if they were having an off day, but the food has gone downhill. Pho broth tasted like bouillon cubes were added and there were too much noodles and not enough meat. Also ordered the white chocolate boba which tasted funny (Have ordered before and it didn't taste the same) and the mango delight which came out warm. Might give them another try. read more

Decently priced boba that's actually fresh? HOLLA. I haven't tried the restaurant but whenever I come in to get my boba fix, I'm not disappointed. Definitely try the taro or piña colada. Decor is hip (is that word still relevant?), and the girls who usually run the joint are nice. We used to come here and like it a lot. Not sure did they change the owner or what? Me and my friends around 10 people went to get boba on last Saturday night. Each of us got different favors so we got to taste each other drinks. My friend got the PMS and it was pretty good and it was fast too. We waited for the other drinks for so long. I got the milk tea boba finally and it was so nasty. There's no tea taste, only sugar with water and milk. I think there's something wrong with their tea. I told the owner and he was super nice, he made me a new one and still tasted not good!! He asked me to switch to something else but I felt bad since he already made me the second cup, so i decided to keep it. But it was too bad that I couldn't finish it even it's in a regular cup. Another friend got the taro boba and it wasn't good either. The taro taste is not strong, and we felt like they only put little powder and a lot of water. The boba of this place has no taste. Usually people will put honey or sugar or syrup to make the boba right? We don't think they did it. Very disappointed and i don't think I'll come back for boba. Time to get your body right and mind elevated at Gossip Tapioca where THE BEST Vietnamese noodle soups in SLC are served. If you live downtown, I suggest driving the extra few miles drive to eat here. The spicy soup, Bun Bo Hue, is my top recommendation. The broth is rich and comes with a side of finely shredded white and purple cabbage, sliced limes, Thai basil, sliced jalapeños, bean sprouts. I'm seriously so lifted from this soup that I literally feel like I'm drunk texting this review. So, yeah...you could say is good here. Family-owned & operated. We tried this on a recommendation from a random lady in line at a store who heard us talking about pho. We went and tried it the same day. It was amazing. Gossip is an ok place to get boba, mainly because there isn't much else around SLC. It's bad enough that I would never ever go out there just to get boba, but it's ok enough that I would stop by after pho or Korean. Their tea is ok, it's the pearls that are terrible. Plus, one time I asked for small pearls and they gave me actual mini tapioca balls, you know, the kind you find in tapioca pudding. I eat here more than any other place in UT. And I eat out a lot :) Any of the pho is perfect, especially in the winter. I usually go for beef and brisket. Maybe meatballs too. But their soup is what sets them apart. Just the right amount of flavor. Not too salty, not too oily, and perfectly consistent every time. I also really like their vermicelli. I am simple and go with the grilled chicken, but I have also tried the pork and shrimp and they are very good too. The spring rolls are okay, not great. I don't especially care for fried rice as it just wastes stomach space that could be filled with something much better, but their fried rice is actually really good. Chewy. Fish sauce is amazing in everything and that also goes for their fried rice. We get it for our kids every time and it is solid. Portions and price are good as well. Lastly, the smoothies. I have had a dozen different flavors, but if you want something truly unique, and fantastic, try the avocado smoothie. Ingredients are simple: 1 full avocado, whole milk, ice, sweet and condensed milk, and that is it really thick and filling, so it may be all you need for the meal. But it is worth trying. In summary, their broth is the best in Utah. The menu is super simple. There are a handfull of solid pho joints in Utah, but Gossip edges them all out and is the winner. I use to live their boba but the last 3 times, it's so freaking BLAND. They have such a high employee turnover that these new peeps don't make drinks properly! On the way back to California, I was looking for some places to stop and I found this boba place. Seriously, the service here was so bad. I ordered three milk tea with boba and pudding. However, I had to repeat to them three times boba and pudding for my drink to make sure they make it correctly. Unexpectedly, they didnt put pudding all of my three drinks. I asked them to correct it, then the young girl who made my milk tea told the boy to charge me more money for the pudding. I asked the young boy who registered my order. Unexpectedly again, he gave me a very bad attitude when he talked to me and he meant like "if you want pudding, pay. Otherwise, leave". One thing I did wrong was I didnt get my receipt .In my opinion, the one who made my order did nothing wrong since she just followed the order. The young boy who registered my order was completely wrong. First, I repeated three times to make sure they do correctly and ...they did incorrectly. Second, he gave me a very bad attitude and tried to co show all the customers that I was wrong and he were right. This was my first time I've been in this boba place and was my LAST time as well. This is my message to you, the young boy who registered my order. If you try to win the conversations with your customers, of course you might win. However, you lost me (your first and last time customer), customers who were in the store saw you did wrong and gave me the bad attitude, and so many people who read and believe in my review (if not, they will experience by themselves). read more

I made an account just for this! My family came in yesterday to get some boba drinks. We ordered alot so it was going to take a while. It got kind of busy. They have 3 people working. 2 girls and 1 boy running back and forth. Soon more people came to help them out. Since there is more help. I thought it would be faster but I only see 1 girl make the drinks. It was a mess. Our drinks took so long to come out and it was all watery!!! Worst is that they forgot one of our drinks. I asked the boy about it and they forgot. He looked very annoyed when we asked about the da bomb but it is not our fault you forgot one of our drinks!!! Love this place!! I love the pan fried noodle with chicken. Simple, yet makes my mouth water! And you can't go wrong with a tapioca smoothie.
