Blank menu boards behind plastic barrier

This place looked very odd. You walked in and were greeted with a tiny lobby with a massive plastic " covid tarp ". I guess that's what it was. There were what looked like menu boards on the wall but nothing on them. It looked like it may have been a cool place at one time. They had enough boba for 2 drinks. So, 3 of us had non boba drinks in a boba place. Didn't make sense since they closed at 9 and it was 4. The drinks were good and the lady at the front was nice. So I didn't do a 1 star.

I was in the area to do some grocery shopping and saw there is a boba shop in this plaza. I went in and they blocked off everything so you need to ring the doorbell on the table and someone will assist you. I got the pot plant milk tea and when she said the total was $7 I was shocked at how expensive it was. I checked the menu and it said $6.50 so I'm guessing plus tax but still, it was too pricey. After receiving my pot plant milk tea I saw all the toppings inside such as boba and pudding. I didn't want all of these toppings in my drink but I guess it's included? I didn't ask the lady to remake my drink because of my own misunderstanding and it took a while to get my drink. Besides the price I was upset that boba had no flavor. It wasn't honey boba or anything. Just plain boba with no flavor. I'd be open to try another drink when I'm in the area.

I was in the plaza and decided to get some boba. Once you go past the entrance door, it is blocked off by plastic screen shields. It was confusing, but you're supposed to push the bell that is on the table. Maybe put a sign to make it obvious for people like me, lol. The owner/employee will come up to take the order and payment. I got the honeydew milk tea and it was pretty good.

When we arrived, the sign said open but the door was locked. Bit strange but maybe they had to step out. We came back a bit later and they were open. Currently only for take out and cash only. The lady that greeted us was nice but she barely spoke English and I was worried our order would be messed up but she got it right. Drinks were good. Prices are average.

This place is open for business. It's not closed like stated. I wanted something to drink while doing some grocery shopping in the plaza. They put a plastic screen and table to protect themselves as well as us. You have to ring the bell for service and they'll come to you. The drink was so delicious that I finished it in less then 3 minutes. Lots of variety of milk teas. Convenient while doing grocery shopping next door

Taro milk tea with boba and mango green tea with boba

Decided to try the boba here because there were pictures of egg waffles/eggette/egg puff. To my disappointment, they don't have it. The drink menu is pretty standard stuff, so I got a taro milk tea with boba and mango green tea with boba. The drinks are pretty sweet and the boba was a little on the al dente side and it wasn't flavored. Did not enjoy the drinks at all and threw out more than half.

It looks as though there's a new owner. Is there only one person working at this place? I was waiting by the register to be helped, and I guess they were busy cooking or making drinks. I had to open the door again so that someone would come to the front so that I could place my order. To their defense, I guess they just wait for the front door bells to ring when it is opened. Since I had already been helped, I guess she didn't think I would order something else? The drinks are just an average 3 stars, but the price for their iced coffee promotion is 5 stars. That is basically how I ended up giving them 4 stars. It was $2 for a small iced coffee and $3 for a large iced coffee. At the time of this review, they had a Yelp check-in $2 drink promotion. I have ordered their popcorn chicken, and it is just like the other boba or tea places that sell it.

Not a bad place! This is such a hole in the wall and it is cash only which is the only bummer. I love how it is super cheap and the decor is super cute. I think this place reminds me of the mother land of Hong Kong and just a different place than going to Half & Half and Ten Ren. Not much seating here and a tad dirty but hey, I'm not complaining since its super cheap. I ordered two boba milk teas but they ran out of boba. Keeping in mind, I went at 7pm and they close at 9pm which is sort of early. Either way, all was good and milk tea will suffice. Its not a bad flavor and its just how milk tea should be. Its more of a Hong Kong milk tea in my opinion so it was just standard. Can't wait to try the popcorn chicken next time! :)

We highly recommend visiting for their consistently good boba milk tea drinks and the lucky cats of good fortune! Their new decor and added booth seating is perfect for grabbing a quick snack - popcorn chicken for $4 - enough for several people to share!! Please see my pictures of the updated seating area with the cute lucky cats as decoration! We have been back over 10 times, and if you collect enough stamps (even from one order), you get a free suitable gift - full sized cup or cute spoon! That is a great deal, and Ben, whom I think is the new owner, is awesome and friendly. This place is located right in the heart of a hustling and bustling Monterey Park hotspot. It does require a little bit of walking to find it though, but it is totally worth it. Great prices too!

What a pleasant surprise to discover this hole-in-the-wall boba place The owner uses real Jasmin green tea leaves to brew their tea, too! It's the MOST FRAGRANT fragrant Jasmin milk green tea I had They use fresh durian to make their durian smoothie! Others use power. And they do not add preservatives either!!! On Atlantic in Alhambra near the 10 freeway. Parking is horrible in this plaza. Minimal and tight spots. A hole in the wall joint. It has a very cozy atmosphere. A family that walked in after us knew the owners and it felt like they've known each other for years. A very small place with one table, a bench, and a bar-Esk seating area. Not a place to study for all those students out there, but more for those who want a quick drink to quench their thirst. We got a classic milk tea with boba (boba was quite chewy they said) & a almond milk tea with no boba. My almond milk tea could have used a little bit more almond. But that's just me. We also got a HK waffle!. And oh my was it yummy!. The owner said they ran out of batter and needed to make a new one, which I was fine with waiting the 10-15 minutes for a new one since we were waiting on shrimp balls next door. The women before me got the first HK waffle, and we could smell the fragrant sweet and light vanilla flavor even before entering the store and I knew we had to get one. Overall, a small place with simple drinks and good food. CASH ONLY!

I'm going to be the sour patch kid who gives this 4.5 star joint 3 stars only...sorry! It can potentially be pretty good, but from what I saw/tried, I was reminded of my college days at Lollicup or Quickly. =DRINKS= 1) Durian Real Fruit Smoothie - Pretty good and fresh. You can actually smell the delicious scent of durian while they're making it in the back. Awesome! The smoothie was a pretty good consistency with a pretty solid/fresh/strong flavor. I only took one very good sip and the durian flavor lingered in my mouth for the next 2 hours (WHILE I drank my own order too!) 2) Wintermelon Milk Tea - Wow....SO much winter melon taste. If you like extremely strong and sweet winter melon taste, this is for you. It was NOT for me. I mean, it is not to say this was disgusting, but it was a little too much for me. Not recommended. Their special milk tea that I tried as a sample was actually pretty good (wish I got that one instead). =SERVICE= The service was pretty good. The young lady at the counter offered us samples without us even asking, and our drinks were made fairly quickly. I think they are kind of pre-made. Anyway, they're going to have a lotto machine here in a little while...so for you folks who like to do that, lucky you! =FINAL VERDICT= While I was not too impressed with their drinks, I was not turned off by the whole ordeal. I'm still hoping for another shot at being blown away (as I kind of expected to be the first time).

I like their drinks and snacks, place is cool, would have been a 5 stars if they accept credit cards. Nobody likes places that are cash only nowadays. Would definitely go back when they decide to take credit cards. read more

Pretty decent boba shop without the crazy wait down the street at Half & Half. There are about 4-5 tables inside with plenty of outlets, making this a great place to chill/study. I only had their fresh milk black tea and it was comparable to Half & Half. The boba, however, wasn't warm nor fresh and tasted as if it's been sitting out. Prices are great, about $1-2 cheaper than most competitors. Tip: Cash only, which is a bummer. read more

This place looks almost exactly like half and half. They even have the telephone. The menus are also in the same style. I ordered the Hokkaido milk tea, which I always try at milk tea places. It was very sweet, which is how I like it, but if you don't have a sweet tooth like me, then don't get it. To give you a better idea, it's similar to jazz cat's version. I also like how the cups tell you to throw them in the trash after you're done. This area has too much trash lying around. read more

I went try this new Boba Milk tea place long time ago... probably last year or so. I just didn't have the time to write about it until now. The service here is great, I get my drink within 2 minutes but the drinks tasted not too shocking to me. It's kind of too homemade milk tea. So if I was thirsty that day I would come again, if not than I rather go somewhere else. read more

5 stars alone for their winter melon tea! Their other teas like are great also. The spot is a hidden gem, it's a little hole in the wall kinda place but once inside it has a chill vibe to it and the service is pretty good. read more

It's hard to find a boba place that serves durian smoothies since it's a big stink bomb but this place has it legit! It tastes just like real durian blended with ice and milk. So stinky and sweet, so satisfying. Just that drink and the friendly service make me want to come back again. read more

Average boba place. A small place with 3 tables I guess. I got the durian smoothie add boba. It had strong durian smell but not creamy enough for me. I was surprised that boba was very soft and chewy. Oh yeah cash only. Service was quick and lady was nice. read more

The place is pretty small, Got the friut green tea, it's actually better than I expected. I'm satisfied with the price and the quality. I got the regular and it's only $2 something. The bad thing is tht it's cash only. :( one thing I don't like it's the bad quality of the plastic cups, it's really soft and it seems like it's gonna leek easily, Which it did. I adore this place for the fact that their prices are reasonable and their flavors of drinks are equally good as any other tea places. I would have give it a 5 stars if their setting designed for students to do their work there. But, it is a more of a order-to-go place. Nonetheless, their drinks are still awesome! read more

Got boba?! No... they don't. I got there around 5 pm on a Sunday night. They ran out of boba and there were tons of people in the surrounding plazas so it was kind of stupid of them. The guy behind me left when they told me they ran out of boba. I ended up getting their #1 special but with lychee jelly. I gave then 3 stars only because the tea tasted good. It didn't satisfy my boba craving though. And honestly they weren't that cheap. It was still over $4 for my drink. Dunno if I would try them again. Maybe if I were craving lychee jelly. read more

So I was originally planning to go to Half and Half Tea House down the street after doing some grocery shopping at a location in the same plaza area where Got Boba is located. I saw Got Boba and decided to get my milk tea fix there because of the convenience of its location to the grocery store. It's refreshingly clean with its newness. I was excited to see what they had to offer. I ordered a large brown sugar milk tea with egg pudding. The milk tea was $2.85 and the egg pudding was extra at $0.50. It was made quickly and the service of the cashier was great. The drink I ordered tasted just right; not too sweet and the pudding plentiful. It was a perfect thirst quencher while satisfying my sweet tooth. I will return again. read more

I ordered a special drink, fresh water melon ice slush with warm red bean & boba recommended by friendly owner Ben this afternoon . OMG ... it tastes so wonderful & the combination is perfect !! It really melts my tongue especially it's hot today ! Another big surprise , they also add new appetizers that are homemade by Ben's wife, Vicky : my dream asian street food , egg waffle 、curry fish ball、pop corn chicken ....etc . The Boba was ok. Got the black tea, and service was ok. I appears as if they have previously made the syrup for the tea, and it wasn't as great as other boba place. My biggest complaint was the cup. They do not offer the plastic-wrap sealed cup, but instead a regular lid cup. Cash only is correct, and annoying. read more

Got the green tea latte, not too sweet but just sweet enough, unlike a lot of other places that you have to tell them either half sugar or no sugar. Hokkaido milk tea is great too, just the right amount of sweetness. Definitely come back to try more drinks. read more

The durian drink that I ordered was decent. It wasn't anything spectacular for what I paid for. Going from Factory tea bar and Ozero doesn't seem fair to this place. They have set the bar too high and anything that doesn't come close to it, is a disappointment. read more

Girl at the cashier wasn't friendly at all,she didn't even greet me as i approached the counter. You could tell she did not want to be there. I ordered a rose tea, it was okay I've had better. You can definitely find better boba spots, probably not going to come here again. read more

Oh man, great quality tea. If you want flavored tea then I suggest you go somewhere else. This tea is of the best quality that's why it takes a bit longer. Their smoothies are great as well. They taste natural. The Durian is my favorite, the best. Cash only, but its no biggyit's worth it. I come three times a week. I tried other shops can't compare. Love this place. By far, definitely, a 5 read more

They use fresh sugarcane instead of frozen, and if you've had enough sugarcane juice, you can absolutely taste it. The flavor here is richer, earthier, and more complex than places like Vita Cane. Even the color is different. It's a little murkier and less transparent, which was my first clue that this was going to taste different. My husband and I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and were surprised to find no line. Ordering is done through a tablet kiosk at the front, and as soon as we finished placing our order, the woman working immediately started making everything fresh. We ordered the Sugar Cane Float to enjoy there and a half gallon of sugarcane juice to bring home. The float was unexpectedly good! Better than anticipated. We chose vanilla ice cream (they also had coconut, coffee, and another flavor I can't remember), and the two scoops melted into the sugarcane juice, giving it a creamy, almost milkshake-like texture while still tasting refreshing. I've never seen this offered at Vita Cane before, and now I'm already planning to come back to try the coconut version. The shop itself is very clean, with bench seating by the front windows if you'd like to wait for your order or enjoy your drink there. The woman working was also incredibly kind. When our half gallon was ready, she recommended portioning it out and freezing anything we wouldn't drink within three days so it would stay fresh. Good advice... except we ended up finishing the entire thing in two days! If you're a sugarcane juice fan and think all sugarcane juice tastes the same, Fresh Cane might change your mind. The difference between fresh and frozen cane is surprisingly noticeable, and this has easily become one of my favorite spots in SGV for a refreshing drink.

Super refreshing and inexpensive for such great quality.The decor is simple and classic making it a casual place to grab a few drinks with friends.The food was suprisingly good too. I feel like a lot of other places use excessive amounts of batter and seasoning to coat their foods but Got Boba uses the perfect amount making their popcorn chicken extra crispy, flavorful, light, and just delectably exquisite!
