I thought the food was ok, it could have been better. We ordered lomo saltado and the meat was undercook and very fatty. I told the waiter, (who by the way didnt look to happy of working) that meat wasn't cook. His explanation is that lomo saltado is like that. our visit to this place was for two adults and two kids and usually waiters ask if they should bring kids food first, this waiter didn't. we waited for a long time and i finally asked him where was the food especially the kids food, that shouldn't take that long. He told me he was bringing it out soon and the reason that our food was taking long was because i ordered a well done burger..... they need friendlier waiters and better steak. read more

Food was good, nothing that special. We ordered the jalea as a starter companied by the calamari and to finish we had the Gran Inka ceviche. Also we ordered a bottle of wine, Sur de los Andas, the bottle of red wine was a delicious. But unfortunately due to the experience with the waiter that served us that night. I Definitely would not go out of my way to eat there. I had the worst waiter. Her name was Carla. Charged me incorrectly and disagreed that I was wrong. And after the manager corrected her. She still did not apologize. We will not be going again. 3.5 stars. The place is in a strip mall, but it's very pleasant inside. There are not a lot of tables. The service was terrible. First, it took forever to get someone to take our order in the first place despite 3 parties in the restaurant! Second, we got someone who did not speak any English. Later, someone else came, but she still messed up the order a bit (though she tried). As for the food, it was good, including the ceviche, the lomo saltado, and a few other things. The food saves the place. If they can get the service up to par, they'll do themselves a big favor. read more

Still in search of my seco de pollo, we visited El Gran Inka. Though the seco was a no show, the dinner was great. My man had the arros con pollo, very different from the Cuban dish I am accustomed too. It came mixed with veggies and a tasty cilantro sauce. I had the snapper in the same cilantro sauce which came beautiful presented with two scallops forked on top. It came with mashed potatoes and I didn't like the blend of both the sauce and potatoes. I would have preferred rice but it was bearable. Aside from presentation the food was fresh in taste and portions are very fair. I went to this location for Miami Spice with a couple of friends. I was very excited to recommend this restaurant, because I am a proud peruvian foodie, and both of my friends have had never eaten peruvian food. OMG, what a disappointment..... From the service to the food and the timing of the kitchen. I didn't know that asking from the Miami Spice menu meant low quality of their food. Of course I'm being sarcastic, since all of the Miami Spice deals I've been so far have bee terrific. Server was rude, they were out of one of the entrees from the spice menu, so when asked her to repeat herself on the explanation of the substitute entree, she almost screamed at us, very condescending, like if we were dumb or deaf. Food took forever to come out. And I mean forever: 40 minutes from appetizer to main course? For lunch? Seriously? And when entree finally was served, was extremely salty. All this time bragging to my friends about how delicious peruvian food is and this is what they get. Geez.... Never coming back again for sure!! read more

Excellent ceviche de culantro and lomo saltado; the anticucho was just like in Lima. Very friendly staff too.

I would strongly recommend AGAINST this place. The service was terrible. The food was ok was not spectacular. The main reason I recommend against this place is the way we were treated which may happen to you too. The waiter brought us bill at end end for 74 dollars (two people). As we disputed an item on the bill, he made the correction and brought the bill back now with a generous gratuity included (85 dollars) while the initial bill didn't. To top it all off, now that I look at the credit card bill, I see that they charged 93 dollars (my receipt still says 85 dollars). I have called my credit card company and the restaurant to correct this which has been a waste of my time. Take my advise, go somewhere else. I would never go there again. read more

sadly this place has seriously gone for a dive... their ceviche isnt what it used to be. its a hit or miss... i guess now it depends on the chef... somedays its deliciously sour and spicy and other days its absolutely bland and mushy. really shocked at what happened to the food. furthermore the atmosphere is kinda dead after the inital opening phase. its always toooooo cold in there and empty :( SO SAD! i've ordered ceviche to go a couple of times but the quality is getting worse and worse. im really upset about this.... i still have faith this place might come back and when it is on point, its great... lately its just not been on point. and please someone turn down that AC. i need to wear a thermal jacket just to enter that place! lol oh and ps: the chicken + rice soup here is divine... sadly ceviche 105 a couple blocks down is outshining this place in every aspect... ho hum. read more

So if you care only about the food and do not care about service; this could be your place.... In my case I will think twice before coming back; moreover there are other good Peruvian alternatives in the same Key Biscayne area. read more

I came to visit Miami from out of town and El Gran Inka was recommended to us from the hotel concierge. I ordered the Aji de Gallina, described on the menu as "shredded chicken breast in a mild yellow pepper creamy sauce, steamed potatoes and jasmine rice". My sister-in-law had a bite and immediately developed an allergic reaction. Upon inquiry, we found out that the dish has pecans. The server told us that Peruvian food has many nuts and it can't all be listed on the menu, and told us we should have told her about allergies. We weren't asked about allergies and common allergens are not listed on the menu. Although the food was good, the service was extraordinarily wanting. This, in addition to the unapologetic reaction we received, is why I have rated this establishment 3 stars. read more

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, attentive servers, and the ceviche was quite authentically delicious. However, our entrees were very disappointing and overpriced. My husband chose to upgrade to jumbo shrimp ($7 extra, for a total of $25) and they looked like regular shrimp. Both of our dishes were incredibly bland and boring. I'm from California & have had great Peruvian food, this place doesn't mess around. My husband & I enjoyed a great dinner here while on vacation. We also had the Seafood Lovers Fried Rice - Arroz Chaufa Con Mariscos which was very good too. The restaurant was located in a small strip of shops and restaurants. My recent vacation to Florida has made me a Peruvian food fan! This place is tucked in a shopping center in KB. We wanted to go there on a Sunday night at around 7, but when we arrived, the only people in there were the chef and a waiter sitting a table. So, that was not a great sign and we went somewhere else. The next night we went back and there were a couple of tables occupied. Our greeter/server did not address us in English, but only Spanish. So ordering was difficult. Later during the meal, I looked up and overheard him speaking perfect English to one of his friends who came in the restaurant. Weird! I guess it goes with the territory in South Florida. For being a state which relies on the tourism industry, you would think the people would be a bit more pleasant. But back to the meal. Gotta say, the food was excellent. If the server would have been even a little interested in providing a good dining experience, this would have been a 5 star meal. read more
