I got take-out and REALLY wanted one of their waffles topped with fresh fruit, but the waffle machine was broken that day :( So I opted for a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel instead and it was pretty fantastic. They cook the eggs over medium unless you want them another way, but that's pefect for me. I got it to go, and my box even came with a little purple flower and a slice of orange in it. So cute! The only issue is the kitchen is still small and the staff is short so it usually takes forever for food to come out on a busier weekend morning. Let me preface this by saying that if you have an allergy, DO NOT go to this restaurant. Here's a little history, my 7mo has a Cow's Milk Protein Intolerance (CMPI), aka she cannot have any dairy as it's destructive to her digestive tract and she can develop severe symptoms. Due to her having CMPI and being exclusively breastfed, I cannot have any dairy products either as it will pass through the breastmilk. I relayed this concern to the waitress letting her know that I cannot have any dairy made with my food and my daughters eggs. She went to go talk to the cooks because I asked if the eggs would be made with oil or butter. When she came back she said, "Well you do know that eggs are dairy products, right?" Are you freaking serious?! In no way are EGGS a DAIRY product. I told her again that it's a dairy intolerance and to not make my food with butter. She leaves to put the order in and comes back a few minutes later saying the potatoes are cooked with butter so she asked if it's ok to take it off my order. I thanked her for letting me know and that I was perfectly fine with taking the potatoes off my order. The food came to the table and the potatoes are on my plate, with the excess butter spreading around. I didn't want to make it a problem so I just gave them to someone else on my table. I then take one bite of my toast and of course, it was toasted with butter on it. My sister in law specifically told my waitress to not butter the toast before the order was put in. Overall, if you have a severe allergy, I'd definitely skip this place. It's dangerous to not have staff educated on allergies. read more

Stopped into this restaurant due to a recommendation and I was very pleased with the experience. I was welcomed at the door with a friendly smile and shown a seat immediately. I ordered one of the specials listed "The Portuguese Sailor" which was chorico sausage and grilled onions placed over two medium eggs on a sweet bun covered with cheese. After devouring this plate of goodness I splurged on a side of Texas french toast that frankly reminded me of home with its sweet buttery taste laced with a hint of cinnamon. Ordered a mixed fruit muffin grilled for an app and the waitress rushed it out to us. She could tell we were hungry! Speaking of the waitress, she was attentive without being overbearing, had a sense of humor and was very efficient. I had the (house made) corned beef hash and eggs. The corned beef was shredded, not diced, very flavorful and tender without being fatty. My wife had an egg white omelet with spinach, tomato and Swiss and thought it was delicious. It seems that I rarely go out to breakfast these days-- vacations being those times. Anyway my wife and I decided we'd try a local place to mix it up and hoped that we'd find something we'd like. We both ordered omelettes and I love it when a place gets creative. I tried the SchMiguel, which was a 3-egg omelette "stuffed with Italian Sausage, Mozzarella, and Mushrooms". First of all, I know of no 3 eggs large enough to cover the plate this extensively. Second, "stuffed" was an understatement. Additionally, these were high quality ingredients. We wanted to try the chourico hash and that was tasty and plentiful too. It's in a mini mall, but otherwise the atmosphere is quite fun. The wait staff are respectful but friendly and funny. Unfortunately, I have a few complaints. The styrofoam take out containers. I mean Come On! Inexcusable! The other issue - and I know it all ends up in the same place - was that the ham, egg, and cheese on an English muffin was actually a big old sloppy scramble with chunks of ham instead of the standard slice. So I felt pretty foolish eating the third of the sandwich that didn't just spill everywhere out of the squeeky, sinister styrofoam in my car because they were closing. Breakfast food is my favorite food, and this might just be my favorite breakfast place. I just started working a new job in Bristol four weeks ago, and I've already eaten at Green Eggs five times! I'm so glad someone recommended it to me. It's tucked away in a little shopping plaza and I passed by it a million times before somebody pointed it out to me, but now I'm hooked. I've been here on my own, with a large group, and with just a couple of people. Every time has been a good experience for everyone! If you're by yourself or with just another person, I totally recommend sitting at the counter by the open kitchen - you get a great show. The ladies working here are awesome and they keep the food flying. My boyfriend says it's better than watching a cooking show on TV! The menu is pretty diverse with a little bit of everything and plenty of choices for the vegetarians (like me). I've had the Sailor Boy (eggs and cheese, raisin toast, and pancakes), the black bean fritter special (to die for, topped with egg and avocado, great if you're really hungry), an egg scramble (with super fresh veggies), a simple egg sandwich (comes with homefries, yay), and a veggie omelet. They have the best veggie omelet ever - they put EVERY vegetable in it. When my boyfriend got one it included artichoke hearts and asparagus - score! The portions are big. If I go here when I'm starving, I can clear the plate. They do have lighter options, too. The fruit parfait looks really pretty and there are several egg white omelets on the menu. Like everyone says, it's cash only, so come prepared. The prices are very reasonable, better than some other places in town that I could name. It gets very busy on the weekend but they keep the food moving fast. It's a very friendly joint where the owner treats everyone like family and knows the regulars by name. The Family and I stopped in this Sunday Morning. First time here.... The interior is bright and friendly and we are told to take any open table. I like getting to pick my seat...The kitchen is open and they are busy but very quite... It's St. Paddies Day Morning & what do I see on the menu, Fresh Corned Beef Hash. I'm sold. We are offered coffee an juice right away, which is what I need fast, my morning coffee. :) The kids order Kid's French Toast, and my daughter orders eggs, bacon, spuds, w/toast... The wife orders multigrain Waffle topped with fruit, I order the above Corned Beef Hash. Place was very busy so I expected a wait for food. Nope, very very fast food service . Hash was GREAT, so so fresh...Wife's waffle was huge and looked so good with fresh fruit sliced on top. Both kids gave thumbs up on their meals. We were offered refills on coffee quickly and even got to meet the owner who asked us how our meal was. Very nice, you can see she cares about her customers. Visiting my daughter for the weekend so I googled breakfast place in Bristol. Green eggs came up second.. Why second is beyond me!!! This place is amazing!! We were greeted by the nicest girl ever! We had a ten minute wait for a sunday morning (!). We were seated and immediately asked if we wanted coffee or tea. Our waitress was also the nicest girl!! She told us all the specials and made recommendations on what to order. I took her up on her special omelette which was shaved steak, onions, peppers, mushrooms and mozzarella and cheddar cheese. This gigantic thick omelette arrives with home fries (they call them spuds) and toast. It was prepared perfectly and was amazing. Friends ordered a bacon and sausage on a bagel and it was so big, she had to cut in half and eat sideways! My daughter ordered the eqq white omelette special which came with a beautiful fruit cup and all the fruit was super fresh!! The other special they had was pumpkin pancakes which we ordered for the table to share which after tasting no one wanted to share!!! The owner is super attentive to your needs asking if you need anything, if everything was ok. Arrived to discover they only take cash, no big deal, there is a bank with ATM nearby. Upon entering the restaurant we weren't greeted - the male waiter simply pointed at a open table. My wife and I sat down and ordered coffee and 2 omelettes. Our order was taken at 11:15 am. At 12:01 pm our waitress came over and asked us to move to a smaller table in the back so a large party could have our table, that was fine. At 12:10 our food finally came out. I loved Green Eggs! My husband and I stopped in last weekend, and took the only open table. It's a sit-yourself, cash only type of place. Hubby enjoyed watching the cook go at it on the open grill for everyone to see, which makes you feel like they've got nothing to hide.
