Chourico Hash Benny
Tracey H.

I stopped for a quick breakfast. Just Yelped the local restaurant, and Green Eggs came up and close by. The restaurants ambience is a nice breakfast spot located in a small mall. The people working there were great. The Chourico Hash Benny was delicious and hot! Coffee was good, I drink it black, so it needs to be good. Great breakfast experience!

Delicious, speedy and amazing food! Wait staff are all extremely sweet, cherry and helpful. If you're in the area, definitely stop on by and try it out. First time having a bolo and WOW! So good!!!

Place was very clean. We were greeted by a very friendly waitress and chef. Everything was cooked to perfection. Eggs over medium, eggs benny and delicious chorico hash.

Large waffle with mixed fresh fruits.

This was a great find thanks to Yelp last weekend when we found ourselves craving for brunch in our way to a hairdresser appointment in Bristol, RI. It's an informal and very popular family dining experience in a small shopping plaza just a couple of miles from the Bristol coastal village, with plenty of parking, friendly waitstaff, and quick seating. Servings were generously large, and the fresh mixed fruits included in their waffles and pancakes included chopped pineapple, a hint of tropical flair in their menu. This impression was further confirmed when I heard Spanish spoken by some of the staff and patrons, and the featured Dominican and Italian sausage in several of their entrees , as well as chourico hash, and banana stuffed french toast, which brought forth the hearty ethnic culinary influences of the area. Very reasonably priced, as well.

Great food, just wish they accepted debit cards. We would be there MUCH more often if they did.

This place has solid breakfast. I really like their chorizo hash. But it's mostly a typical dinner.

Ordered the clam chowder which was very good. It leans towards a Rhode Island Chowder, which I prefer vs. the creamy New England Chowder. Nice flavor, and the dice chourico was visible . I only found it a bit salty and it was served with a Portuguese roll. I also ordered the Cacoila sandwich which was also served with on a Portuguese roll and I opted for the seasoned fries which were very tasty. The pork was tender and flavorful, but again a bit salty for me. I don't use a lot of salt and my tolerance and taste of salt is low. Otherwise the sandwich & chowder had some nice flavors.

The Pear Pancake special was perfect for sharing and was sweet and delicate. The service was quick and friendly. I'll be back again this weekend! The decor is bright and fresh, a wonderful spot for a sit down or grab n go.

They had cookies and tarts that looked incredible (definitely going back to try those ), but we went for the classic vegan hot dog and it was so satisfying. Super flavorful, generously loaded with sauces, and that perfect crunch in every bite. It had that nostalgic street-food feel while being completely plant-based. After trying them at the fest, we're definitely planning a visit to their restaurant to explore more of the menu. Highly recommend if you're in Rhode Island and looking for creative, delicious plant-based food. There was zero interest or flavor and that she missed Basil & Bunny's crunch wrap. She is right. Basil & Bunny has so many great and delicious options that don't make me feel like our dietary restrictions are an afterthought. We don't have to eat uber bland and entirely green. If you want a fast food burger this is not the place. Your food won't come out in under a minute, but the staff is pleasant and friendly and the decor is fun. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, and it isn't unusual to see a well behaved dog sitting under one of the tables outside.

Tt has everything you'd want from a great coffee shop: comfortable seating, plenty of room to spread out and work, a rentable conference room, and something you would not expect from a coffee shop, the Aurora Bar, stocked with a nice selection of local spirits and other favorites. My partner and I stopped in for a quick nibble for lunch on Sunday and this was perfect. My partner went with the Caprese sandwich, which is served on a pressed ciabatta with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, spinach, pesto mayo, and balsamic. It was simple and tasty, and I was lucky enough to get a couple bites! I went with the Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap, which was also simple, but packed with flavor. It had all the obvious ingredients with the addition of pickles, which added such a nice briny little punch and really hit the spot. Something worth noting: both of our items were ordered from the laminated menu at the register, not in the beautiful leather-bound Aurora Bar menu, which appears to be an evening menu with cocktails and other tasty food items. For drinks, I went with an espresso tonic; the slight bitterness of the quinine plays really nicely against the bold espresso, and it's one of those combinations that's refreshing in a way that's hard to explain until you try it. One small note for the team: the Riverside location has always had a real warmth and cohesion to the staff that I haven't quite felt at Bristol. It's not a dealbreaker by any stretch, but a little more energy behind the counter would go a long way. Still a five-star spot, as the coffee and the space more than make up for it.

The vibes were great, there was plenty of room for our party (we had 7 of us), and it didn't feel crowded at all despite the number of people that were in the coffee shop. I think that the only downside that I would say for our experience is that the drinks at the bar took FAR too long, although they were good! We came here in the evening, but I would definitely love to pop in at some point during the day because I do think that this would be a wonderful little study spot!

Caught the fourth quarter of the game, and the place had a great vibe. Crowd was lively, staff was friendly, and everything was clean and comfortable. The drink menu was not very extensive. Our Asian salad cups appetizer tasted exactly like an Asian salad mix I've bought at the grocery store and looked like it too - I'm convinced that's exactly how they prepared this. My veggie burger had burnt edges and wasn't too enjoyable flavor-wise. It didn't help my overall impression that when I got takeout here another time, they totally butchered my boyfriend's name when we ordered over the phone, and we had a hard time picking up our order because of this (how you get "Stephanie" from "Anthony," I just really don't know). I think this place just gets lucky having a good location across from Independence Park and being close to but just out of the way from downtown. Can't say I was impressed by the food - there are too many other good options in Bristol, I just can't say I'd recommend this to others. Perhaps it's improved since I visited, but it's a pass for me based on experiences I've had.

When we first showed up, it wasn't super busy, but the place was starting to get full, and we DID have to get a reservation to ensure that we weren't waiting/to make sure we were at our next spot on time. A fun little addition to this restaurant is that they also double as an ice cream shop which would have been the PERFECT dessert for me if I wasn't so full after my dinner. The indoor seating we were put in was a high top, but it was just enough room to seat 5 people comortably. I ordered the Bayview Burger paired truffle fries (chose to upgrade from normal fries), and it was the absolute most perfect choice! I also tried the Brussel Sprouts, but I would say if you like them crispy all the way through, these were not. I also had a fun mocktail with a dragonfruit (unfortunately can't find the name of the drink, but the picture is below) to pair with my food--I will say that while it was tasty, it was pretty sweet but was the perfect pair with my Bayview Burger, which was a bit on the saltier side. The only downside to our experience is that once it did start getting pretty busy in the restaurant, the service was much much slower (which is a given with how busy it was) and we had to ask a different waiter to help us get our check and head out. Other than that, it was a wonderful choice for dinner and I would recommend this restaurant anytime!
