Greenwood Grill is a local Mexican/diner that offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This place seems to be pretty popular with the locals. Their menu is pretty extensive, offering breakfast plates, omelettes, skillets, pancakes, sandwiches, soups, salads, and entrees, as well as a Mexican menu. We came here for a later breakfast, and ordered: +a breakfast burrito - opted for the steak, and this came with eggs, potatoes, cheese, green peppers, and onions - definitely filling, and good with the red hot sauce that they had +a chicken tamale - slightly coagulated and the masa was slightly dried out; the chicken itself was seasoned well +black coffee The only thing was that I wished the cook had worn gloves when preparing the food. This is definitely a family- owned & -operated business; there was only one server, but the service, surprisingly, wasn't lacking. They have a handful of seating inside as well as some patio seating. A few spots are available on the front and to the right side of the building. +friendly service +parking available

This place looks brand new... and yet it is 60 years old? This has a diner mixed with Mexican vibe. You come in and are told to seat yourself. The bring over the menu and ask what you'd like for a drink. This is definitely a casual place. The server is friendly and knowledgeable about the restaurant's history, the menu items, and he genuinely wants to make sure your experience goes well. The flowers on the table are a nice touch. I ordered my regular ham and cheese omelette with hash browns and a side of corned beef hash. The omelette was American grill style (flat eggs browned slightly on the outside and folded over). Not my favorite but liked by many. The ham was fine. There wasn't anything amazing about the omelette. The corned beef hash was fine. Likely out of a can. But then there is the hash browns... yes! Seasoned hash browns! Finally! I would go here just for the hash browns. The price is good. There was a lot of food involved and it was less than I would normally pay going to a chain breakfast. Overall, this is a decent breakfast.

Hubby and I celebrated buying a new dryer by getting some lunch here. From the outside it looked very small but it was larger once you get inside. Very neighborhood-y. Asked a staff member how long they have been around and I was told more than 30 years. Looks like they have quite a following with the locals. It was very busy! Hubby got the cheeseburger and I got the turkey club. I thought my turkey club was quite good and I would not hesitate to order it again. Tony said that he wished the cheeseburger came with more toppings like pickle but he said it was definitely a satisfactory cheeseburger. I will rate this place a very solid four. It's not fancy but it is a great option if you're just looking for a quick meal. Looked like they serve breakfast until 3pm and it is now open for dinner.

While they were open for dinner in the past, WB now only serves until 2:30pm, which is common for brunch places. Plan accordingly! My go to is the chipotle chicken crepes. I always opt for a savory brunch bite. The potato pancakes are thin and crisp and pair nicely with applesauce and smooth sour cream. A lovely addition is Dollop Coffee specialty drinks like tiramisu or chocolate orange cold brew and lavender vanilla lattes, all around $6.50. Kids' menu has plenty of breakfast and lunch options for young ones 10 and under. Hash browns or corned beef hash on the side are popular with my kids. Friendly waitstaff. I ordered a small stack of pancakes with spicy hash browns and bacon, while my husband kept it classic with scrambled eggs and toast. And wow...the food absolutely knocked it out of the park. The hash browns were insanely good. I never realized hash browns could pair so perfectly with pico de gallo, but now I'm convinced. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, and the bacon was thick-cut and cooked just right. This is definitely a spot we'd come back to. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the food somehow manages to be even better.

WOW! To make a long story short, we got seated, our drinks, and orders taken, and after 15 minutes, our food was hot and piping and fresh. And it was tasty - my steak quesadillas and my mom got a house Cobb salad. Both were tasty and looked great. Our server Miriam was awesome with our orders, she came by to check on us and not too many times, and was there to help us with leftovers and leaving stuff. She struck a nice balance of not being there vs being here too often, so that's Ace's in my book. Since it was Mother's Day, it's crowded and a bit loud but not too loud where it was too obnoxious, except for a few people who had no manners at all on dress, but that's another topic I won't go to, for now. Tables, plates and silverware were clean, and one can still get around, even with one table behind us with a handicapped person, it didn't crowd up much at all - it was all very reasonably spacious. Definitely will come back here, though I do miss that older lady who was our server the last time before today, who was very nice - had a bit of an attitude to her personality but not too much to make it tasteless, some sass makes for an interesting day. The diner has a classic, retro feel with a checkerboard aesthetic that gives it a traditional diner vibe. It is not very modern or trendy, but it is clean and well-kept, which is really what matters. The space feels simple and comfortable, making it a place someone can visit regularly for a quick, reliable meal. The menu is very straightforward and features typical diner staples. The food was pretty good, but the dishes were very basic with nothing particularly unique about them. It felt like the kind of food you might make at home, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but it wasn't especially memorable either. I ordered an egg sandwich with cheese and sausage ($9.95). I also ordered bacon on the side (3 for $4.25). The egg sandwich was okay, but the bagel tasted like those cheap bagels you would get at a hotel during their complimentary breakfast that come from a bag. The sandwich didn't have anything on it other than exactly what they called it on the menu: a bagel, sausage links cut in half, an egg, and cheese. Nothing on the sandwich was seasoned or flavorful. My husband enjoyed his food much more than I did, and he ordered the Big Texas Breakfast ($12.95). This came with country-fried steak with sausage gravy on top, 2 eggs your way, and hash brown potatoes. He also ordered sausage links on the side (3 for $4.25). The service was friendly, and everything came out in a reasonable amount of time, which worked well for us since we were on a bit of a tight schedule. Overall, Lola's Diner delivered a simple diner experience with homemade-style food. I would come here again, but it wouldn't be my first choice for breakfast.
