Came here on one of the coldest nights of the year. A Wednesday night, 6pm. There was still some seating available. Good enough seating to come and study for a short time. I got the Strawberry CBD drink. Forgive me, I forgot the name but it's the only one like it on the menu. Loved this. I can't say if it really had any "CBD effect" since I smoked right after, but it was comforting and the strawberry flavor wasn't overwhelming. My bf got the Drip coffee. It was good for those who like a more bitter flavor coffee. He added a little cinnamon and sugar on the raw. It was perfect. I love the logo and would've bought a cup and saucer if i was going straight home afterwards. They sell pastries and other cold beverages. The bathroom could use a clean but it's public in NYC..maybee they get a pass ? Looking forward to going back if in the area. read more

A couple almond milk latte and tea runs here lately. Join the Gregulars club if you come often. Also available are yogurts, smoothies, light lunch options, and pastries. Free WiFi, no line for the (only one) bathroom, several tables and outlets available, reasonable prices for the quality (better than Starbucks, not better than Culture), and sweet staff. Just sucked that there was no TP in the bathroom. I like how even though it's right by Bryant Park and Times Square, it's got a steady flow of both tourists and locals. It's quiet, so it'd be a good place for laptop lemurs. read more

NYC's answer to NorCal's Peet's Coffee. Local joint that services tasty pastries, etc. for bfast and drinks to satisfy virtually anyone. The drinks are not "fru fru" like Starbucks which is not a knock. I just wanted to set ones expectations. The staff is very efficient/organized and friendly. They definitely seem to be able to handle the throngs of people that frequent this spot! read more

This place used to have the best vegan burrito. I don't know if they recently changed ingredients in it . But it does not taste good the last three times I ordered it it tasted like it went bad. I love the notes they always leave and always quick delivery but the vegan burrito just does not taste the same and once again I ordered it and it taste spoiled . Really great coffee here! I was getting sick of my Starbucks order so I wanted to try something different. Ordered an iced caramel macchiato with oat milk and it was great! The customer service is a different story. I did have this at 5-stars, but while typing this review I witnessed a staff member walking away from someone while they were ordering to go finish someone else's drink. Good coffee, even better smoothies. We get our afternoon jolt at this location and service is always quick. Only once has it been curt (by a heavy-set bearded guy). I usually opt for their Morning Boost smoothie with strawberries, blueberries, Greek yogurt and granola blended into a frothy, creamy dessert you can slurp. It's $7.50 and great for any time of day, not just breakfast. The Root & Rise smoothie is $9, and tastes as healthy as it sounds, with banana, semisweet chocolate, almond milk, cinnamon, turmeric, chia seeds - basically chockfull of goodies. Their pastries are meh however, having tried the carrot raisin walnut pound cake (too dry and edges taste burnt) and Boston Kreme doughnut (big, but ruined by an odd tasting cream innard). Their chicken salad sold in the prepared foods freezer is surprisingly delicious, and would probably be fantastic with one of their croissants sold in the open dessert display, so light lunch idea for next time. We usually grab and go but on occasion have sat in store, where the seating is comfy, but a lot of meet-ups also happen here so you'll hear many varying conversations going on at once. read more

Very cute coffee shop in Midtown Manhattan. I was impressed by the collection of their cold brew. Besides the regular black coffee brew, the have Nutella Cold Brew, Halls and Oats Brew. They are quite amazing. I got the Halls and Oats, and it tasted really good. It is a mixture of coffee, oat milk, cinnamon and some chocolate (I think). You should check it out. I enjoyed it a lot. The price isn't too bad. Close to 5 bucks for a medium size of cold brew. Comparable to other coffee shops in the area, it is a good deal. read more

I've never been to such a welcoming environment! This place looks very popular and crowded but you can see that everyone loves the coffee here. The coffee maker behind the bar made me such a beautiful cappuccino this morning, I dont know how she did it with the milk!!! We had just gotten off of a flight and needed a pick-me-up, so on our way to Times Square we stopped by Gregorys Coffee. The employee that took our order was very friendly and helpful, our drinks were also prepared very quickly. The place itself is pretty spacious and has several tables for you to sit and enjoy your coffee. I ordered their iced matcha latte w/ oat milk, my husband had their Hall & Oats cold brew and we also ordered a banana nut bread to share. My drink was delicious and the banana bread was so yummy, but the star of the show was definitely the cold brew - so good! Definitely stop by if you're in the area! Highly recommend. read more

Overall this was a solid latte, but I wish it had been hotter. Don't get me wrong, it was much better than, like, Aroma Joe's or Dunkin, but I would've liked more foam. It had a very strong almond milk flavor which I didn't hate, but would've preferred a stronger espresso flavor. It potentially would be good with a flavor syrup, but I don't know if I'd go back (other than for the convenience). To be honest, starbucks is superior (stronger coffee flavor and less $), so if I'm going to go to a chain, starbucks is better, but I'm not mad about it. Side note, this was a large location, not super aesthetic but there was indoor and outdoor seating which I liked. I loved how they have nice seating area! It's so hard to find a place to do your work but Gregory has nice seating and several plugs to charge your phone or computer. Almond latte and spicy avocado toast was good. I thought the bread to avocado ratio was a little overwhelming (thick bread, thin layer of avocado) but I enjoyed the spiciness! I ordered through my ritual app and although my order was stated to be ready for pickup, when I got there only half of my order was ready. Also, I had ordered an iced drink, but I was given a hot one. They did make me a new one but that also took additional time. Horrible, bordering on racist behavior from the store manager woman at the cash register last week. She confused me with asking for size and quick points to cups when I asked for a regular cappuccino. Never happened before at the store with someone else at the register, so there was an inevitable mix-up. I ended up getting a large (weak) cup instead of what would be the small (stronger regular that I always got from others at the store) and when I looked confused and tried to sort it out... she treated me like a fool. While the other two staffers could care less. The horrible manager then tells me she could get me another one, but I would have to wait for everyone else on line. Or she could just pour some drip coffee in the already full cup of cappuccino. What insult. I was so disgusted I left the $9plus worth of coffee and croissant I got. This is a busy location but the staff is really professional and works very quickly - esp during the morning rush. These guys are seriously hustling to make caffeine happen for all of us! The coffee is good but I actually really love the chai latte - and also worth a try is the "dirty chai" version w a shot of espresso. I also like the Hall & Oats cold pressed coffee w oat milk - the ultimate hipster beverage! In addition to the huge coffee menu they offer a wide variety of non-caffeinated latte drinks that aren't too sugary. Most of the pastries are good, though I did get a stale donut once and the "New Yorker" sandwich looks very small for the price compared to most bacon egg and cheeses you can get elsewhere. Really not sure what all the fuss is about. I went here with a friend yesterday, and it was cute, small but we were able to get a table, and the coffee was...coffee. I just got a regular, and it tasted a lot like Starbucks to me. Which is great, because I love Starbucks. I just don't understand why people say this chain is so much better. My friend got the Borboya coffee, which she claimed to like but didn't even finish half of. We didn't try any of the snacks, so I can't speak to their baked goods. I will say one substantial advantage over Starbucks is that they offer a soy milk cannister. If I'm ever around a Gregory's Coffee again, I might go, but I'm not in the Times Square area often.
