Wow okay so let's begin. Everything about this place is fantastic staring with location - downtown but not obnoxious; parking lot in the back, and somehow hidden without being so. Then inside is creaky and cute, the outside is nice and covered. The food is fantastic from the starter salad to the sandwiches, the artichoke dip, the bread, and every single main course I've had has been amazing. This place is so cute! It's got great lighting for an enjoyable evening dining or just enjoying some beverages alfresco. Great patio with lots of space, games, space heaters, fans, indoor or outdoor seating options, & tv's. It plays great music, that's not too loud to enjoy conversation amongst a group. Traveling to Santo Antonio, don't waist your time or money in this establishment. Worst experience I had in a place. I normally don't give reviews but this place deserves not even one star. If you are local in Santo Antonio and you put up with service and food like this I'm sorry for you. The place is run by kids, so when we arrived they were talking with each other at the reception. They had several tables clean and available and "made us wait 30 minutes to get sit". My husband asked for a beer while we wait and "the beer was not good", so he just did not drink it. Once we got seated i asked for my water with no ice and they gave me lukewarm water...serious they could had said that no ice means lukewarm. They served the food. The salad was the best part of the meal, "the pizza was okay and the lasagna was lukewarm like the water". We were hungry and my husband hates complaining about things. Unlike me if I'm paying for something I have minimum expectations that was not met by this place. Maybe because was the weekend and they were busy... I don't know and won't be back to verify that. I talked to the waitress that offered to send back the lasagna after my mom was already at the middle of eating because after putting the food on the table she never went back to verify that the food was okay. She called the manager that talked to us about coming back and complaining to someone else???? She was not sincere with her apologies and she made a pregnant woman very upset. She accused me of treating bad her kids staff because I asked to speak with the manager. On top of that they kept us waiting for over 30 minutes to pay the bill after they clearly saw that we were upset. Not only they did not do anything about the bill but kept us waiting for no reason. The bathroom were not well maintained. PS- I'm 10 months pregnant and fighting a bad cold ...The restaurant is trying to blackmail me saying that they are going to release a video of my strange behavior and how rude I was with manager and staff. They accused me of being responsible for their lack of cleanliness in the bathroom on facebook. Interesting that everything that I said in my review was already mentioned at yelp, facebook, google and trip advisor. Said we wanted to not pay for food after eating all of it, when we paid all the bill, left 20% gratuity and waited 30 minutes with the card on the table. I got home and started not to feel good hope all is fine with baby since I'm feeling a sharp pain in my belly. Not sure what is more upsetting... maybe my waisted time with this ridiculous situation. Not worth it and lesson learned. I'll advise you do not complain to the manager about anything at this place. Go home and write a review.... Meanwhile, the other waitstaff never came over to ask if we needed assistance. After 15 minutes, we let another employee know that our waitress had not been back to our table in 15 minutes. The employee disappeared and returned to the area, but did not offer to help or take our order or offer any information about our waitress. We finally went back to hostess to let her know we were leaving. She stated that they can still serve us, but was the point. Came here with the wife to celebrate our first year of marriage. Guillermo's catered our wedding reception, so we figured it would be fun to stop by for dinner. I had made a reservation for 7, and we arrived about 6:55. We were seated right away and were greeted by our waiter, Oscar. I'm glad we had a reservation cause the place was full. We ordered the Caesar and Red Pepper Ranch salads to start. Oscar pointed out that happy hour was close to ending, so he rushed to get our beer orders in so we could get the discount price. Both salads were great, although I was surprised about the Caesar having pineapple and cranberries as ingredients. For entrees, we shared the Tomato Pasta Alfredo and the Spinach Mushroom Lasagna. Both were excellent and the lasagna was boiling lava hot! Oscar was a great waiter and very attentive. I ordered from Guillermo's and requested catering for two different meals, back in March (this yelp review is overdue). They did a fantastic job! We order food to feed 40 people, and delivery was prompt and efficient. We ordered the sandwiches and the pasta salad, which were incredibly delicious! We had so many compliments from our guests, and most folks helped themselves to extra servings- it was all so delicious! The order servings were generous and we had food left over- I wasn't sad because these leftovers were delicious. We also hosted an event at the City Council Chambers, and the staff/owner went out of their way to meet our requests for catering and having wine served at the event, despite the last minute planning and permits required to serve wine. The staff promptly responded to phone calls and emails. They were professional and efficient. I spoke to Guillermo after our event, and he seemed like a very pleasant gentleman who really wants to make sure that his business is providing excellent customer service. Anyway, Guillermo's is just what we like in a lunch spot: funky, unique, and locally owned. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Ample parking in back. Staff taking orders at window are fast but super nice. Everything looked great. Tea is the only self-serve beverage. You must ask for soda. Service was just a tad slow, but it was super busy, so not a biggie. I went "off menus" for the shrimp po' boy: hot, fresh, and tasty. Red sauce on the side was smoky and perfectly spiced. Fries were crispy but only lukewarm. Esposa had a humungous chicken sandwich with the spinach salad. My flavored tea was delicious. Chocolate chip cooke was divine. OVERALL: EXCELLENT. I am very happy I decided to grab dinner here this evening. I picked up a phone order, and I can't wait to come back to dine in! This is a quaint restaurant with an adorable outdoor patio seating area. I've driven by many times without noticing the restaurant, so keep your eyes open for it! I ordered their house salad and a thin crust, 12", five topping pizza. Prices seem fair, and comparable to other pizza restaurants I've visited in the city. The salad is great; topped with unique items like green olives and dried cranberries. The house dressing is delicious, a cream base, not oil. The thin crust is crispy and tasty. The toppings were good, I will ask for extra shrooms next time ;-) ...their sausage definitely has a unique flavor, nicely crumbled and a little crispy. I couldn't resist trying one of their teas (they have a variety of flavors), peach mango was oh so delish. A little sweet at first, but mellowed after a few sips. Everyone at the restaurant was helpful and friendly. The only drawbacks tonight was the website menu link didn't work (made it hard to order) and the phone was busy when I called, then I waited on hold for five minutes. My friend ripped her pants on the outdoor furniture and instead of addressing the issue, the waitress ignored it. Prior to our departure we requested to speak to the manager, who then "called " the owner, Guillermo. Guillermo agreed to a 25% discount on our check, which amounted to $7.25, very unreasonable. At that point, we suggested that my friends meal be "comped", which was less than $30. The time it took to resolve the issue was ridiculous. "Guillermo" should ALWAYS have someone ONSITE to address customer concerns. The whole incident was comical, a phone call and back and forth negotiations should NOT have to occur to make a customer satisfied. I would NOT recommend this restaurant, only because there is no one with authority onsite should something occur. Also, the manager admitted that several customers have ripped their clothes on the furniture. In addition, while we waited on out table, we spent $30 on drinks at the bar and tipped the keyboard player $5. The keyboard was was awesome, very friendly and entertaining read more

Would I go back here again? Probably not, for several reasons... The food was mediocre. Shrimp was good, but the pasta and Alfredo was just passable, not that much better from what I can make at home. The exception was the calamari and onion rings, both thoroughly enjoyed by our table. Red sangria was good, not too sweet although I was missing the fruit that normally comes in a glass of sangria. Margarita was fine too. The music selection is what really killed the mood of the night. Midway through our meal, a country song came on that included the N-word and references to hanging/lynching a man. When we addressed it several times with our waitress and what I believe was the manager, they seemed unsure how to respond and said the music is a mix of several Pandora stations. If they apologized, I missed it, although I'm not saying they did not. I think more careful managing of the music they're playing could avoid this happening again. The bathroom is small and reminds me of a country bathroom with a little latched hook the looks the door. Food was not satisfying. You have to serve your own drinks and order at the bar that doesn't even look like a bar. My boyfriend and I wanted to give this place a try because the food looked amazing. Upon arriving we are not greeted and confused as it's our first time being there. We were unsure if they had indoor seating and a server says yes is just over there. We sit down and the server comes back and says we need to order at the bar. So we get back up and go look at the menus. I get the meat lasagna which tasted bland and a salad that was decent. Anyone could make a better lasagna. My boyfriend had the pepperoni and sausage pizza slice and fries special, he said the pepperoni tasted like it was frozen and he didn't finish it. It was a great experience I haven't been to this place in about 2 years and a lot has changed. But I was greeted by 2 young ladies that immediately asked if it was dine in our take out. When I said was eating in the took me to my table right away. I ordered my meal and as soon as it was brought to my table hot and ready to eat. I noticed there wasn't as many tables as before and they explained because of the current situation were following the guidelines set down for social distancing. Awesome ma and pop spot. We drive across town just to eat cauliflower base pizza. They have never disappointed us on the service or how fresh our order is. They do have a wide selection alcohol drinks. Do expect to wait for to sit inside on a busy night but you won't be let down. read more

I never write reviews but I had to for this place. The only reason I gave two stars is for the amazing hostesses and the good food that came out fast after we FINALLY ordered. My little sister suggested this place. It's her favorite and she loves the lemonade. We dined at this location April 20th at 2:00ish and left at 3:42. It was not busy- two other tables inside and a few people outside. From the start our server wasn't great. It took forever to do anything(over 5 to greet us another 15 to get drinks, refills, ect.) And overall she didn't seem in any rush to do her job. Idk maybe she wasn't having a good shift. We finished eating and waited for her to check on the table. 20 minutes pass and she finally asks if we want the check. We say yes and my Sister asks for a Togo lemonade. She takes our cards and now it's been over 10 minutes, no sign of her. My Sister had work soon so she asked the hostess if she knew where our server was. The other two tables she had had to get up and get their own to go boxes and also ask the host were she was. When she finally came back she had the worst attitude. She hands the drink to my Sister and says "sorry I had to take so Long I was busy making YOUR lemonade". She shoves the checks back to us and walks off. I'm assuming she didn't like that we asked the host to find her? The only way it's acceptable to wait over 10 minutes to run three cards and make a to go lemonade is if she was hand squeezing the lemons in back of house. I was still planning on tipping 15% until the last rude interactions. Sorry but you don't get to treat customers like dogs and expect us to still give you our hard earned money‍ My Sister tipped 15%(more than she deserved), Her bf tipped 10%, and we left her nothing. Funny every little thing took forever but she snatched the receipts up before we could even make it out the door. She ran up to us, literally pushed past my boyfriend as we were leaving and yelled "Hey thanks for the GREAT tip" in front of the entire restaurant. I've worked as a server for four years and have been stiffed on $100's worth of food where I actually did a good job and NEVER have I had the audacity to chase customers out and yell at them. We went out the back toward the car and my Sister stopped to talk to one of the servers (she was really upset at this point). All she asked was if our server was the only one on the floor. The girl responded no that there were FIVE servers. Our server sees her talking to this other server and comes out the restaurant and gets about 2 inches from my sisters boyfriends face looking like she's really ready to fight over a couple dollar tip. At this point I left I'm almost 9 months pregnant and I don't have time for this nonsense. The WORST customer service and the craziest shit that's ever happened to me. I'm hating myself for not going back and getting our servers name. I'd be putting her nasty, rude self on blast. But at the time I was just so ready to leave her name was the last thing on my mind. This spot is very unique, the pasta was perfect! The thickness of the sauce was on point, wasn't runny and was the right amount for every bite. The shrimp was lightly seasoned, wish it didn't come with the tail though. Other that that the garlic bread was toasted to perfection. The calamari was over fried so it was a bit difficult to eat. Great food great low key atmosphere! I had the bowtie salad which is very good. The marrying of different ingredients and flavors works extremely well. For my main entree, I went with the King Guillermo. It was a huge sandwich which made me feel better about paying more than $10 for a sandwich. The sandwich was very good and stuffed with lots of meat. You can't finish it and you'll get to have some for lunch! Would I get the sandwich again? Loved this place. Small, slightly unbalanced floor in an old house set the mood for great food. Had pizza (dough was great), mushroom lasagna, and spicy sausage pasta. All 3 were great. Also drink prices for being downtown were great (my pint was $5). Service lacked a little, but nothing that would stop me from going again. read more

My fiancé and I went to the Pink Floyd Spectacular last night at the Tobin Center. We parked our car at a near by garage and needed to kill some time. Guillermo's happened to be walking distance, so we decided to go. I am so glad we went there. The food was delicious and the service was amazing! I was happy to hear that they are a locally owned restaurant because we've always liked brining business and helping out our locals, especially when they have great service and serve delicious food!
