Second time trying this place and it has cool vibes inside but I don't think the taste of the more basic options is as good - house milk tea and honey and almond milk tea. Tried the caramel boba too and it just tasted alright. I've had better milk tea and boba taste elsewhere. Next time I'd rather spend the money over at Iceskimo or try Somi Somi. Food: Came around 1:40pm and ordered the popcorn chicken and garlic parmesan fries. The popcorn chicken was really good. A tinge salty but definitely some really great sized pieces and seasoned well. My bf ordered the fries, and he said they were 6/10. They were decent but could have put more parmesan. Overall 7.5/10 Macarons: Neither of us had actually ever had macarons before (so to be honest I don't have much to compare them to) but they tasted really good. Not dry and had excellent flavor. We got blueberry cheesecake, fruity pebbles, oreo and birthday cake. Fruity pebbles was the best! Blueberry cheesecake was really good too. 8/10 Drinks: As for drinks, which is actually why this place caught my eye to begin with, I thought they were great. The young lady at the cashier suggested strawb hibiscus to me for a fruity suggestion and I think its soooo good. My bf got the oreo frappe and he rated it 7/10. Found this place through Yelp, I wanted boba and this location happened to be the closest to where I was headed. It was pretty easy to locate, Google Maps took us right to the location. It has private parking lot which it does share with couple other businesses but there is ample amount of parking spots available. I called in earlier to make sure it was open during Covid-19 and accepting take out orders. So impressed by this boba shop! I'm not sure why this place doesn't get more attention! They had amazing flavors for their macarons which I definitely have to try next time. They have a check in special that if you buy 3 drinks you get a macaron free. I think they also have a special when you buy 6. We came in for some drinks and popcorn chicken. My boyfriend and I both agree that this is the best place for popcorn chicken that we've had in San Diego. Super crunchy but light batter to chicken ratio. ACTUALLY spicy when I asked for spicy and done really quickly. What really sold it was the service. The cashier girl was friendly and quick and got every bit of our order exactly as we asked and the guy in the back cooking up the chicken brought it out to us in record time. I've been going here since college and the place has definitely changed a lot. They've redone their menus and changed their prices and the quality of their drinks has also changed. Their Thai Tea used to be one of my favorites in San Diego, but they seem to have changed their recipe because it just tastes too sweet now. Nonetheless, it's a great place to get some boba, desserts and food if you're looking to grab a quick bite. I usually order their Mango Madness (~$4.50). They allow you to adjust sweetness and ice levels and I suggest getting the drinks less sweet because their drinks are generally on the sweeter side. I really do enjoy the mango taste and mango jelly that they include. Their Aloe Vera is hit or miss so I suggest asking them if you can taste it before you get it. For food, you can't go wrong with their desserts - they are all really good! Whenever I get food, I usually order the Buffalo Chicken and Fries Box ($8.45). They give you a generous helping of chicken and fries and it's covered in buffalo sauce with extra sauce if you ask for it on the side. Good place to study, but not too many tables so come earlier in the day if you're planning on staying to study for a while. One of my new favvvv study spots! Out of all the boba places in Kearny Mesa area, this is definitely one of my favorites for studying and getting work done. It is a smaller boba joint so it is not as loud as many others which is a huge place when you are trying to focus! They play the BESSTT music here AND you can actually hear it so also another plus! All the workers here are super friendly & knowledgeable about the menu. Really cute spot in Clairemont area! I absolutely love their Thai tea frap and their fried chicken and fried tofu! I get them all mild! Boba balls are over cooked here but I.D definitely get the Thai tea frap again no questions! This place has excellent customer service. We ordered a mild fried tofu, and when it was too spicy for us, they quickly made us a new batch! They let you choose extra sauces no charge! I love the ranch and sweet Chile with the fried snacks! Guiltea Cravings is a cool little tea joint located in Clairemont Mesa (by the 805 freeway). This place is situated in a small strip mall in between Sipz and Twisted Sushi. The place has a modern minimalist, clean look and vibe to it. There are a handful of tables and a bar area where you can sit at. They made better use of their space and added stools and a bar style table near the window in front (adding 4 more seats). There's also a bench outside where people can sit at to wait for their drinks if the tables are full. They have plenty to choose from on their menu. They have coffee drinks, milk teas, fruit teas, blended drinks, a dessert menu, snack menu, and loose leaf teas that you can order. They actually updated their menu recently around (Halloween 2017). As far coffee drinks go, I really like the Vietnamese Coffee with Sea Salt, Guiltea Latte, and Dirty Milk Tea (their version of Coffee Milk Tea). If I don't need the caffeine, I usually get the Coco Taro Milk Tea. The Fruity Pebbles Milk Tea and Strawberry Milk Tea aren't bad either. The wife has tried their Taro Blend, Blueberry Matcha, Strawberry Hibiscus Tea, Chamomile Lavender, and a few others and liked them all. My God Daughter has tried their Cookie Monster, Ferrero Roche Hazelnut, Fruity Pebbles, macaroon ice cream sammies and Halo Halo... she loved them all. We haven't tried any of the snack items, but we see people order the churros, popcorn chicken, and fries often... so it's gotta be good, right? Service is friendly and they always let us know they can make adjustments if we need any. All the employees are super friendly and cool. They have a rewards program you can use to get free drinks or ice cream. They also have free WiFi. There's a high school behind this strip mall, so this place can get crowded when school is over. We just try to avoid those times. We love this place and stop by multiple times weekly! Parking is not a problem here at all. Tonight was the third time here. My roommate and I were craving boba so we drove in before it closes. Amber was extremely friendly and personable. She helped us choose our drinks and gave us great suggestions. I decided to be difficult and try a radical option. Amber did warn me that it was an acquired taste, but I got it anyways. Of course she was right... She took the extra step to ask me how it was and when I told her it wasn't my drink of choice, she immediately offered to make me another drink of my choice. I was impressed with her customer service, and she will keep me coming back! The shop is not on the main Convoy street, so I usually find an open table. It has good vibes and is a great study space. Came by this place for dessert and boba with my cousins. We all got the green milk tea with boba and then buy 10 get 1 free macarons. This is one of the few places in San Diego that sell macarons at a decent price. That being said, sometimes I get a perfect macaron and other times it's very hard. Also, sometimes there is a salty taste which I'm not used to. Their tea is alright and their boba is usually cooked well! Craving some popcorn chicken recently, I found GuilTea Cravings on Yelp and saw all the delicious beverage choices and snacks that Yelpers have posted and shared. Located on the west side of the 805, crossing over the freeway bridge away from the difficult parking situation on Convoy St., the shops in this plaza are calmer and guests do not need to fight for parking, or squeeze their giant car in between another car and a red fire hydrant sidewalk. This boba/dessert shop has probably the most Caucasians (servers and guests) I have ever seen inside a boba shop, yet the beverages are solid, the business is clean and spacious with lots of seating area, and a bookshelf full of board games like One Night Ultimate Werewolf. The music level here is also decent, though watch out for those blenders behind the counter, as they can get incredibly loud and challenging to talk over if you sit near one like us! During our visit, we tried the Hokkaido Milk Tea and Coconut Matcha. Both were well prepared. I recommend getting the Coconut Matcha at 50% sugar since coconut milk can sometimes be in the sweet side. We also ordered a popcorn chicken, slightly over cooked and dry, but they don't skimp on the portions. We got a full container of piping hot chicken. Some basil leaves and sweet chili sauce would of also been great! Overall, I think there should be more boba shops in San Diego that offer refreshing beverages, popcorn chicken snacks and cute macaroons! For now, GuilTea Cravings has gotten all 3 plus more nailed down. read more

My boyfriend and I love the drinks here. Jasmine is amazing and gives great recommendations! I wish they would fix their AC because it's always so uncomfortably hot. It was hotter than the outside the last few times we went in. Both times, it was unbearable I had to stand outside while my boyfriend waited for our drinks and it felt about 20 degrees cooler.
