A solid 4 for a new boba tea shop with a very up and coming menu! Workers were welcoming, very friendly, and so full of positive energy which, strangely enough, seemed to transfer over to me. Such a pleasant experience from a boba place, go figure. Their menu is restricted to regularly sized drinks for their soft opening at the moment, but it already looks so promising for what they are offering. They have their classic milk teas along with their 'Next Level Milk Tea!!!' (The exclamation marks make me very excited about these drinks automatically). Then, they have their fruitea/ herbal teas which are brewed fresh but because of this they do take a little longer (the workers are kind enough to inform you of this). And of course, they are called 'Guiltea' cravings for a reason, so they showcase their main dessert option - the macarons - in a display window at the front but they also have other awesome goodies namely the macaron ice cream sandwich. I ordered the Flower Bloom fruitea with white boba (an extra 50 cents) for $3.55 (**10% off with a Yelp checkin!**). I love how many options they had for toppings. They had different flavors of pudding, jelly, and aloe. The white boba I ordered wasn't something I had ever seen before. These were extra chewy with a lovely caramel-like sweetness. The Flower Bloom also came with aloe and petals in the Chrysanthemum brewed tea. My drink was very light, not too sweet, and wonderfully floral without being too overwhelming. The petals though were actual flowers (dandelions I think), so I do not recommend getting this drink with boba since at the end you might end up slurping up some flower pollen. I nearly choked on one, haha. Cool boba shop in a random strip mall with plenty of parking. Shop is also very spacious, but probably could do with more seating. Still, a great place to get work done; they have free wifi. Check at the front for the passcode. And need I mention the LED wall? Trippy, man! Workers though made my day and I was a bit surprised after they handed me my drink and asked if the level of sweetness was to my satisfaction. They would have adjusted it otherwise. I havent had their drinks in years, but i tried the popcorn chicken. I got the spiciest level and it was actually pretty hot. I know most places say spicy, but it's not. It was crispy and really good. For the sauce they had about 8 options to pick from. From what I remember they had ranch, spicy mayo, ketchup, sweet chili, and Sriracha.  I like that they sell food, so if I get hungry while studying I don't have to go somewhere else. After another fabulous meal from Sipz (next door), my date and I decided to check out Guiltea Cravings. I ordered their Oreo macaron sandwich. I was was impressed when they told me that they make their own ice cream in house. At $5, the macaroon was a tad expensive for what it was. I was slightly disappointed that the ice cream was just chocolate and only the outside of the macaroon cookie and ice cream had Oreo bits. Overall, it was good. My date ordered a coconut matcha milk tea with boba. The flavor was refreshing, but 75% of the cup was filled with ice! I wasn't expecting to pay over $4 for a mini iceberg. I highly recommend asking for little or no ice in the drinks, so you get more bang for your buck! read more

Stopped in last night for some boba and to catch up with friends. It's a small little place but lots of parking in the lot it shares with other businesses. It's right by the high school so it gets busy after school on weekdays. There are about four or five tables against a wall which is well decorated with wooden slats and rainbow lights. Probably made for Instagrams but very cute. They also have a bunch of board games you can rent out - we borrowed Guess Who and Uno, but they have a lot of other selections. Last time I came in I got the macaroon ice cream sandwich - worth it and so cute! There's one that they roll in fruity pebbles and the rainbow looks great. This time we got the lemon macaroon and the new s'mores macaroon. Lemon flavor was a little too strong for me, but s'mores was delicious!! So this place opened up right next to the first Sipz location. Even though Sipz has recently been known as a vegetarian food spot, many are unaware that it was originally a boba shop strictly. I simply thought it was funny how everything transformed the way it did. Sipz still has boba, but that is no longer its main focus. Now, the only reason why I would even enter this plaza (aside from acquiring random cloth for costumes from Yardage Town) is for Guiltea Cravings. This place is still fairly new. They have LED screens for their menu. That way, they don't have to awkwardly change one or two digits in the price and have it be completely noticeable. The decor and music makes it seem like a mini club for teens before they are actually old enough to get into an actual club. I got the Mah Halo Halo, which sounds like a corny wordplay, but is actually a giant order of halo halo. For those of you who are unfamiliar, halo halo is a well-known Filipino dessert whose literal translation is "mix mix". Gotta leave it up to Filipinos to say certain things twice for some reason. Anyways, it's a sort of mixture of different desserts all in one! This one included lecheflan, mini tapioca balls, some sort of jelly, jackfruit, possibly red bean, coconut milk, some shaved ice, and topped with a small scoop of ube ice cream. Unfamiliar with some of these ingredients? It might not matter, because it's all (or mostly) delicious. They have a good tea selection as well. One of the main differences that these types of places are making a comeback is that they're featuring better quality teas rather than sweet syrups like Tapioca Express and related places. The chicken was pretty good. Tasted so much more fresh and had nice breading. What I like about this place is that it's not flooded with people. Yet. We'll see what happens when people see this review as well as many others for the place. At the time we went, we had absolutely no trouble finding a place to sit and relax. This was the second time I been here and I opted out to try a snack this time. I got the garlic fries and boy, was it filling! For the price, I was really surprised how much they give you! It was freshly fried and garlic coated toss with the fries. It honestly reminds me of garlic fries at a restaurant. My friend got an almond milk tea and the tea was very powdery and she wasn't a big fan. They have other drinks I wouldn't mind trying. I tried to rose milk tea and this is one of my favorite spot for sure. They don't have too many seats/tables inside. Maybe 4-5 tables or so? I am not sure if it was just me but I feel like this is one of the boba places that I notice the loud sound of the blender when they make the drinks. I felt like I had to talk a bit louder. Haven't been to this place since soft opening. They've greatly expanded their menu to incorporate a lot more drinks and snacks. Their baymax macaron looks so adorable! Came here at 8pm on a weekday. It wasn't crowded at all and the staffs were fast and friendly. Place has a few more cute decorations. Ordered a strawberry blast with aloe vera. The drink is on the sweet side but I love sweet and fruity drinks. The aloe vera made it sweeter and the ice cubes they used were small bite sized so it could also get sucked up via the boba straw. All the drinks my friends ordered had normal sized ice cubes. Just an observation. The strawberry blast had strawberry chunks that tastes sour after the aloe vera and there were also lychee chunks. Overall I'd order it again :). Friend's matcha milk tea had that hint of bitterness to it and the coconut matcha milk tea was basically the sweeter version. I would recommend both. The sea salt coffee was made on accident so they offered it to us for free. So nice!!! Thank you guys! Was offered a mango cream blend sample, it was very flavorful. I would order this next time! I was craving for something sweet as usual and came here after lunch a few days ago. The decor is so cute! They have little jars of tea leaves along one side of the wall and neon lights on the other. For drinks, I ordered the Guiltea Peach Blast with white boba and my friends got the Guiltea fruit tea and a passionate mango blend with white boba. The white boba has a sweeter flavor, which complimented the tea very well. We also shared the churro ice cream sundae and a couple ice cream macarons. I chose the fruity pebble and my friend got the Cinnamon Toast Crunch one. The ice cream macarons were okay- the shell was a little sweet for me. My favorite dessert of the bunch was the churro sundae. It was filled with custard and surprisingly wasn't too sweet. The staff was a little slow in making our drinks, but at least we all liked ours. Online menu is highly outdated, many of their popular items are gone or changed and no longer enjoyable. The menu is also too large, it looks like the workers are always in a rush and not able to deliver quality items because they are overwhelmed by orders. Staff was friendly and doing their best, not sure if it was just because they were rushed or recipes are just bad. Items would probably be higher quality if they focused on a select few options instead of dabbling in everything. GuilTea is genuinely the best cafe in San Diego, they nailed all of their deserts and drinks. I had been here before COVID, and I was excited to come back! I'm also glad to see that this business is still doing well and managing social distancing. Both the desserts (cookies, macaroons) and tea are great quality, and I actually really appreciate the slightly firmer tapioca pearls (idk if this is just me .. but the saddest thing is a boba that's just... disintegrating in your drink and getting all slimy lol). Anyways I definitely will be coming back. Parking is great since they're in a large lot and it is located right off the 805 exit. SO MANY DELICIOUS CHOICES TO CHOOSE FROM!!! I was so overwhelmed because I wanted to try everything- they have a lot of unique drinks and snacks... but I had to hold myself back. I ended up getting a blueberry cheesecake macaron, a creme filled churro, and the sea salt creme jasmine tea with white boba. Everything was good, I have no complaints! Macarons are very eye-pleasing and I definite tasted the blueberry cheesecake. It was the perfect texture. The churro was also fun to try (although I wished the cinnamon/brown sugar was more infused with it). It was hot and crunchy and matched perfectly well with the creme. My sea salt creme jasmine tea (if that's even the name- I forgot) was perfect as well. The white boba is a nice change from the regular black boba, but not that much of a difference- just a little sweeter. Service is pretty quick (or it just wasn't too crowded when I came- Monday night). They called me multiple times for my separate items. Decor is pretty cool and modern, wouldn't expect it for their sign or logo outside but what do I know lol. At least they have plenty of room for people to line up and look at the menu if necessary. I was elated to find a place that offered keto options. I had the keto Thai Tea which really hit the spot and my craving was satisfied. My boyfriend got the caramel keto coffee and it was delightful. I liked his drink better than mine. I would definitely come back for these while on keto. We also saw they had Keto Tiramisu for $2 each. What a steal, right? Well, we both got one. But immediately when I opened mine, there was a funky smell. I guess you could say I was in denial and I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. I thought it seemed peculiar and maybe it was something about the keto ingredients that caused the smell. Boy, I regret that so bad. First bite... IT WAS RANCID AF YO! Super disappointed. My stomach flips just thinking about it. I tried my boyfriend's and it was odorless and tasted fine. If you think you want to try this item, my advice is to just grab a drink instead. The Keto Tiramisu is 1/4 cup of basically just whipped cream with some coffee powder. You know the saying, "you get what you pay for." For $2, I'd rather buy two-4 packs of Sugar Free pudding cups at the grocery. I wonder how long the tiramisu was sitting in the fridge... read more

Came here with a few of my friends around 6ish on a Friday night and it was quiet....which was fine by us. They immediately greeted us and told us if we needed help or an explanation about their menu, to simply let them know. Cream filled churro: this was too sweet for me (I ordered it because I just really wanted to taste it) so I gave it to my friends boyfriend. He loved it. I think it was just too much for me. That thing was a tank and probably weighed like one. Oreo macaron ice cream sandwich: this was larger than I expected. It was pretty good. But after this and a few bites of the churro, I felt that I was going into either a sugar high or in diabetic shock. Iced Vietnamese coffee: I loved LOVED loved this. It was a nice balance of sweet and bitter. The server even told me that if I didn't like it, he could adjust it. There was no need to adjust. This was a perfect drink. Again, I LOVED it. I'll go back again if I was in the area just for their iced coffee. Actually I want to try their other drinks and the halo halo. We saw one ordered and that thing was huge! This is one of my recurring study spots; free wi-fi is available and there are outlets near the back bench. The coconut matcha milk tea is my faaave!! I've tried other drinks, but they were okay.....still clinging to the coconut matcha! Coconut matcha milk tea + cajun fries = my study junk food combo. I haven't tried their macarons, but they're definitely pretty to look at. Parking is never a problem! Huge parking lot. I deducted one star because this place can be teeming with high school kids, and they don't seem to respect those trying to study as they yell and laugh as loud as possible when playing the card games Egyptian war and spoons. Stayed at a hotel near GuilTea cravings and I absolutely loved the menu. I had a ube coffee and ube cookie that were delicious. Also I recommend their Thai tea Frappe it was so good!
