We ordered and shared the following: the Pistacchio sandwich, and the Porchetta E Truffle Mushroom pizza. Both were delicious. I have seen videos of this style of Pistacchio sandwich in the internet; from a famous sandwich shop in either Rome or Florence. I had always wanted to try this, and it was as good as I had hoped. Full of flavor, it was probably one of the most unusual (and best) sandwiches I have had in a very long time. The pizza was also very good. This is on focaccia, it's a little chewy, a little crispy, and the flavor was spot on. I ordered some food to take with me for my adult son, who was not present. Another Pistacchio sandwich and two types of pizza; the Porchetta and also a slice of the Margherita, plus two plain slices of the focaccia. The Margherita was also delicious, and I would rank the focaccia up there with Liguria Bakery in San Francisco. Just very, very good. My son first looked at the Pistacchio sandwich with some skepticism. Took a bite, took another bite, and then admitted that it was "delicious". He inhaled the pizza. I would give this place 0 stars if i could. A friend had talked highly of this place right before going so thought we should give it a try. We ordered the Pistachio sandwich and 2 Toscano sandwiches, along with a personal size Salsiccia pizza and focaccia bites. Sandwiches were overall very bland, not much flavor from the bread or ingredients. The pizza wasnt cooked all the way. The dough was soggy/floppy, the italian sausage had no flavor. We were walking around downtown when I spotted the new restaurant I had heard about! The founder is from Naples! I popped in just to check it out, but I was lured in my the delicious looking focaccia. The focaccia selections were super unique! I was feeling a bit peckish so I decided to share the Gorgonzola and mushroom one with my husband and my son shared the pepperoni one with my mother-in-law. The pieces are about $7.50 and up depending on the toppings, with a truffle one being the priciest. The other thing I noticed was the person behind the counter was actually Italian!! Like actually from Italy. Very cool. They also make sandwiches look which look awesome but we weren't in the mood for picking up anything that big. We just wanted a small bite so the focaccia hit the spot. I sampled both of the ones we got and they were delicious, especially the pepperoni one. The tomato sauce they used was phenomenal and definitely very authentic and home made!! It has great tang and freshness. When my son dropped half his slice, he was practically in tears over it because it was so good. I told him not to worry though, that we'll be back and we'll get it again. I love that there is a fast, casual, inexpensive place in downtown Walnut Creek... Finally!
