This is a small bar with limited seating. It is unique but has ice cold beer and all sorts of libations. If you're not into Disneyland this is the place for you. There are a couple bull seats available perfect for a photo op. The location and view from this end of the Anaheim Packing District is second to none. You can see and be seen from here. Cocktails were very well crafted and tasty however 1 stars for the service. For one, there were three servers and they were NOT attentive at all. Even after tipping over twenty percent I felt that they gave no effs about the customer. I don't want to come back even for the drinks. There was a tall dark man, I think he was of Hispanic descent. He was extremely rude and had the worst attitude. Every remark or question he completely ignored us. I'm not the type to post bad reviews unless a service has truly not been up to par and felt that this was the case. I even had to ask the servers twice for waters.... My wife and I were in Anaheim for a concert and someone suggested we check out the Anaheim Packing House. The Hammer was where we ended up planting ourselves and it did not disappoint. It's very near where the live music plays at the Packing House so it's a great place to grab a drink a just watch / listen to whatever band is playing. The drinks were good and the staff was really awesome. Josh served us a round, he was super on top of his ish, and my wife and I ended up staying and exchanging stories and laughs with Vince, who was hilarious! I was there on Saturday evening with a few friends & met a few people throughout the evening. There was a small group behind us when all of a sudden one of the bartenders came to their table and shouted at the 2 females to get the "F" out of his bar. The 2 females looked so confused. I couldn't believe how a employee would think that he would have that kind of authority to disrespect women at a public venue in such a manner. I'm putting 3 stars because I really enjoyed my palomas and the bartenders were working hard once it got busy. However, the bartender I had was not friendly at all. My friend and I were the only ones there for about an hour, and even upon ordering our drinks he just had this rudeness about him. Even once it got busy, I went to order another drink and he completely skipped over me and went to help the guy next to me. The customer had to tell him I was there first even though I was clearly there waiting before the customer got there. Might be because I look younger and he didn't take me seriously, but I was a waitress for 6 years and didn't appreciate his service. The other bartender seemed nice, though. With competition nearby such as The Blind Rabbit, Kettlebar and Chippy, The Hammer Workshop and Bar has it all, making a name for itself with it's unique drink specialties, craft beers and Happy Hour menu. With plenty of room to mingle, it makes it an ideal spot to socialize and have a few strong drinks at great prices. The bartenders are personable and knowledgeable about creating speciality beverages. A customer favorite seems to be their Moscow Mule which I would easily agree with. A little on the pricier side at the Hammer Workshop and Bar, which is to be expected. A mixer runs at $13.00 and craft beers at $7.00. Happy Hour prices start at $4.00. A hipster trendy bar that in my opinion is probably the best bar at the Packing House. It's definitely worth stopping by and giving it a try. read more

The Anaheim Packing District was PACKED, like super packed! The bar was filled.They kept their cool and made awesome drinks. We wanted to check out the Blind Rabbit but didn't have reservations in advance so we settled for Hammer Workshop. It was a crowded Saturday night. We didn't have to wait as the time we popped in 2 people were leaving the bar seats. Lucky us! Drinks were made well. I thoroughly enjoyed the Medicine Man. It's made with Buffalo Trace bourbon, ginger liqueur, fresh lemon, and yuzu bitters. I love the candied ginger added as well. Very refreshing and just what I needed. Cocktails are around $12 each. The Anaheim Packing House is gonna have its share of fans and haters. There is definitely a lot to take in. But first, if crowds make you squeamish, absolutely forget coming here. Even in off-peak hours, there are people streaming in and out. And that's because this place can be a fun destination with the proper expectations. I think it's best to come here with a group. There's enough food and drink variety for everyone. There are even a couple of bars, plus alcohol is served at other places too. Seating is available all over (from bar stools to cushioned lounging areas to rocking chairs that make you feel like you're on a ship deck). Photo ops also abound. Basically the Anaheim Packing House is like an amusement park for Asians and foodies. ;) The Hammer Workshop & Bar is the bar on the second floor. It's an open air bar in full view of everything so you can drink and people-watch to your heart's delight. If you think it's tacky to imbibe a $12 cocktail in a food court setting, then skip this one. This is also not the kind of bar where you can happily chat with the bartender. It is however a fun bar to hang out with friends for some daytime drinking. And you can bring food with you to enjoy (at least we were able to). The drinks are pretty well made, however, the prices here are really pricey for an open-air bar....think 12+ dollars each. By far the best place in the packing district, we sat down and couldn't decide on a drink so we asked the bartender to make us up something. Both drinks were amazing, although a little pricey (25$) but I assume reasonable for mix drinks, they were well worth it. The bar is on the upper level, with semi comfortable seats and clean tables. The bartender however did have a friend visit, and took a shot with him which we thought was odd but unsure it is was normal to drink on the job as a bartender. This has to be the bar that my wife and I frequent the most. They are more or less known for their different mules in which most (if not all) of the ingredients are made inhouse. You can't go wrong with ordering a mule here. I have tried most cocktails from their menu but I really enjoy their Inner Island and Southbounder. They're tiki inspired concoctions and they definitely hit the spot. The wife really enjoys #basicbitch and their Cosmo. The only drawback is that this location is on the second level of the Anaheim Packing House which can be a mess and a half to find parking in. My clover club came without the egg white (how do you forget that anyways?) so the bartender made me a completely new one and gave me the other drink for free. Plus one star for that! I couldn't debate which version I enjoyed better, as both were very different- one was more smooth and the other was more frothy and thick. Super different but yummy! The lions tail was a little too sweet for my friend, so the bartender recommended a different drink which she thoroughly enjoyed. Since the bartender did mess up with our order, our bill was cheap for the amount of drinks we got. When it gets busy, the bartenders do seem to get backed up and it can take awhile. The Packing House was sooo crowded last weekend so we decided to grab drinks at Hammer Workshop first before dinner. They have great cocktail choices that range from $10-12. The beer is $7-8. We decided to try several drinks from their menu including the Clover Club, the Cocktail de Louisiane. the Trinidad Sour, and the Kentucky Mule. All but the Clover Club were whiskey-based (I really like my whiskey!). The Clover Club was actually really light; you could barely taste the alcohol. The Cocktail de Louisiane however was really strong. Prices were what you would expect, although some cocktails came in glasses that were pretty small. It just depends on what you order. Overall, I thought it was a cool place to hang out and grab a drink with a friend. I can see myself coming back for a pre- or post-dinner drink. (It was Sunday 6/27 around 2pm and he had long hair, I think shoulder length, very cool vibes) Anyway, I came here for some drinks after work and I was impressed with the service, the cocktails and ambiance. I really wish I remembered his name but I hope he knows how great he was when I tipped him $30 bucks on a $45 tab. I did tell him that I'm going to come there more often the end my work week Sundays. My friend asked for a Vodka Lemonade and when I asked if he had lemonade he said "no but I'll make some" which I thought was above and beyond. Their IPA's are always changing and they rotate their beers often. The bartenders and servers are okay. There's a little attitude here...kind of "too cool for school" type tude.
