Had some cakes from my friends and they were good it was "not too sweet" and my favorite has to be the green grape yogurt. They have the cutest cakes! I love the modern minimalist designs, but it looks like they got into the vintage cake trend as well. After gawking over the cute cakes on IG, I finally tried their cakes and coffee in store, and they are as good as they look. I got the pure milk cream cake and soosoo latte, since it was my first time and these are the most popular items. I added a slice of banana choco cake and banana matcha. The cakes were fluffy, Asian-style cakes. The milk cream cake was a little one-dimensional for my taste, but it is a good cream cake if you like lots of light frosting. I loved the banana choco cake, especially the crunchy elements. There are crunch pearls and crispy waffles in the chocolate frosting. It was very unique and tasty. I also enjoyed the soosoo latte. I think it was the perfect amount of corn flavor and tasted more like a dessert drink. Banana matcha was high quality as well. You can really taste the delicate grassiness of the matcha. Harucake is my favorite cafe in LA. I don't get to come here often, but I always think of this place when I am in LA. There are so many cafes but what makes Harucake stand out to me is that the quality of drinks, service and the aesthetics make this place stand at the top of the game. It will be hard to find this place without a line unless you come right at open or on a weekday. I like their matcha drinks and I appreciate that they use minor figures organic oat milk which I also use to make my matcha lattes. Their corn latte and strawberry milk is a must try as well. Their pastry and cakes are really amazing. Not too sweet and unique. I tried their mugwort cake, corn scone and the chocolate scone. All very good. The inside is decorated with Harucake merchandise and a selfie photo generator. The candles they sell are all made in Korea. Omg I was dying from cuteness from this store. Especially because their logo looks like a fluffy white dog, so everything reminded me of my doggo hahah. We came around 3pm on a Saturday, and there was indeed a line to go in the store. It does look a bit intimidating waiting in line, but actually it wasn't so bad after all. It was about a 20min experience waiting to order, waiting for drinks, then leaving the store with our items. It is quite difficult to find parking around the area, since especially there's so many popular stores nearby. My friend has to drop me off so I can get in line first, but she eventually found a 30min parking by the side of another plaza next door. I've been wanting to try this place ever since i've seen this on TikTok. The line was efficient where they break it into groups to come in. Walking in, the store was so cute! All the merch on the side was so cute, and they even have this 'photobooth' box where you can take photos. I ordered the soosoo latte and a slice of the mugwort injeolmi cake. I believe these might be the most popular items. My friend got the soosoo latte as well with the bento cake (more variety). Trying the soosoo latte, omg it was so cute with the smol corn. I really liked it! I like all the corn niblets you can taste in the coffee as well. The coffee isn't too strong, but the corn + coffee combo tasted really good. I wish I had fork because I finished my drink before the corn melted in my drink lol. I believe the corn is also an ice cream btw! I was basically too full to try the cake, so I tried it the day after. I'm not sure if waiting a day after affected it, but it was definitely an interesting cake LOL. It's quite small inside, with a row of seating along the wall, and it can feel a bit cramped when there's a line of people waiting to order. + Soosoo latte: This was SO delicious! It's made with homemade corn cream, whole milk, and espresso. They recommend getting it with oat milk, so we tried one of each. I personally preferred the taste with whole milk more. They also advise to take sips instead of stirring or using a straw. + Egg tart: It had a flaky exterior and wasn't overly sweet. We went right at 12pm on a Friday and we only waited like 5 or less than 5 minutes. We ordered and it took a little long to get drinks, and then longer to get our cake but I didn't really mind since I was there to catch up with a friend anyways. The strawberry milk was actually really good, I won't lie. Frothy and creamy and delicious and sweet. I enjoyed it a lot and it was aesthetic too. My friend got the very famous and very well known soosoo or corn latte. To her disappointment the corn was just chocolate and not actual corn. One sip of that was straight corn foam and espresso and I was not mad at it. My friend describes it as not life changing though. The cake was good. Very aesthetic. I've been wanting to try Harucake for a while now but there's sometimes even a line before it opens. I went on a Thursday afternoon and thankfully it was pretty empty. First of all, I love their whole aesthetic and how they've designed the place. They also have free WiFi but it's definitely not a place for studying but I would definitely take a friend here if they just wanted to chat and have a cup of coffee. Now on to the soo soo latte. For 8 dollars it's definitely on the steeper side in terms of prices for coffee. Although I admit it was really good and well made it didn't blow my mind away. At least not for 8 dollars. The latte was a lot creamer than I expected it to be and I usually like latte with a stronger coffee flavor. The corn on top is basically frozen corn that has to be mixed into the drink. Overall I think it's definitely a nice spot to go to once but I'm not sure if I would be back due to the really busy area and the downside is that there's only valet parking. read more

Such a cute and cozy spot. There was no line when we went mid-day on a Wednesday, but still lots of people sitting inside. We found parking on the street ($1 for a max of 1 hour but it resets every hour so you can buy infinite hours) but you can park in their parking lot for $5 if you are a patron of the plaza. $20 is if you are not a patron of the plaza. We ordered the soosoo lattes (our first time trying a corn latte after our friend said this one is life changing!), a matcha, and a slice of the mugwort cake. The corn latte was delicious, as everyone else said. It was perfectly creamy, bitter, and lightly corny. I felt it was well balanced. I would have loved a larger size, but once the ice melted you got drink #2. The matcha was described as "umami" (positive). Each cake slice is $14 which is kind of crazy, so I would only recommend getting one if you are splitting it with a bunch of friends. The cake was good, I loved the biscoff crumbles on this one. TRUST ME I WANTED TO LIKE THIS PLACE MORE. I was hoping to get a bento cake but due to coming in the late afternoon, there wasn't many options (which is definitely my fault). However I still got to try the Pure Milk Cream slice ($13) and Mocha Biscoff Slice ($14). Considering the price of each slice I didn't think they were worth it. The Pure Milk Cream cake was on the dry side and lacked the milky flavor, it almost tasted like a less sweet Safeway cake and I expected it to be less sweet and that's why I wanted to go here but the flavor and texture was very lacking and artificial tasting. The Mocha Biscoff however was very good but I still don't think $14 is justified. I understand they put a lot of care into the aesthetics of the cake which does deserve credit but at the end of the day it wasn't life changing. I also had the Banana Matcha Cloud ($9.50) which was AMAZING and would go again just for that. Also the cute candles are ($5) which isn't bad considering the designs are very unique and cute. Service was amazing, staff seemed really friendly despite the rush of customers. I initially thought this was just a bakery so I tagged along with my friends. I didn't know they also serve lattes so while I was waiting in line I noticed others ordered a latte with something that resembled corn in it. I was intrigued and determined to try it. While waiting in line, we had the opportunity to take some free photos from their photo kiosk that prints on paper. It was such a cute little memento! I took notice of their mini seating and miniature mushroom lamps. Lots of charming objects that was very kawaii. After we placed our orders and was called for our drinks, the staff asked if I had it before to which I said no. He told me it was best to sip slowly and without a straw for the optimal tasting experience. He was right--the taste was creamy, nutty, and you could taste the espresso. It was amazingly good!! The little corn in the drink had an icy, sweet & creamy flavor. I just loved every bit of it!! Delicious treat after our museum date - so glad we stopped by. This cafe is so cute from the decor to the polaroid station to the actual items on the menu. We heard great things about the corn coffee but really caught our eye was the Mugwort Injeolmi cake which was light, airy, not too sweet and had surprising bits of mochi. This small café is tucked in the corner of a small strip mall in ktown, and the interior is super cute and minimal. There's a very limited amount of seating available, and the atmosphere is relatively quiet though many people order and sit momentarily. You order and receive your drinks at the same counter, and the couple of staff working there are very informative and helpful! I would probably come back for their signature drinks. I've had the soosoo (corn) latte ($7.5) from here on two different occasions though I'm interested in their others. It was very creamy and rich, the barista recommends you to sip it. The cream top was really sweet and had a sweet corn flavor, and the small bite of corn-shaped topping was kind of like if some ice cream was frozen into an ice cube with real bits of corn. This sits over ice, and on the bottom is the latte which had a really strong and bold espresso flavor that complements the milk super well. They're a bit on the pricier end for a normal sized drink, but it's worth trying on occasion. I've also had the egg tart ($7.5) which was pretty good, but didn't stand out to me and wasn't as good as other ones I've had at better price points. Came back here a 2nd time to visit with my friends. I love the aesthetic of this place with its minimal and clean vibes. This is my first Korean style cafe and it didn't disappoint with the drinks and cakes. I ordered the Soosoo latte (corn) & an injeolmi (mugwort) cake. The corn latte is really delicious. The coffee is strong and I like the corn flavor. The ice cream is also the best part. The mugwort cake is very subtle and not too sweet. It tastes nutty and has other flavors I can't really describe, but mugwort is a really good ingredient from what I learned in Korean skincare. My friends loved the place too!
