Celestino Gencarelli has other locations in Chico, CA, Rocklin, CA, Oroville, CA, and opening soon in Fort Collins, Colorado (near Denver). Their pizza is the most popular and was voted 2010 Best Of Chico Pizzeria in a town that caters to 20,000 Chico State University students. NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE. They lied repeatedly. Said my pizza would be an hour. Not ready when I arrived. Waited another 40 mins after being told 20 mins. STILL pizza was not ready. They then told me another 25 mins. Got nothing but ATTITUDE back like they're better than their customers and dont even need to explain themselves. Father's Day today I had my order messed up and "Mgmt" attempted to make it right.. in short they told me they "personally saw the order" before it went out .. and wouldn't you know it.. wrong order again. My mom ordered delivery from here this past week and she ordered a white pizza pie, baked ziti, chicken Franchese, tiramisu, and another huge square pie with a bunch of vegetables in it. She loves that vegetable pie. That was the sole reason why she called that place to begin with. Everything was good! The baked ziti was a little acidic at the first few bites but the fresh mozzarella balances it out. I love the dessert. I don't know if that was made from scratch but it is awesome, probably one of the best I've ever had, it was creamy and not runny. The white pizza is also the best one I've ever had too. We catered from HHP for my husband's birthday today and (1) they were so accommodating when I asked them to split our full trays into two half trays (easier to serve), (2) the delivery was on time, (3) the food was piping hot, and (4) everyone raved about how it tasted! We were in town for an event, and I asked the hotel front desk for pizza recommendations. I grew up in New York and the first thing I want when I get anywhere near it is a good slice of pie. They had menus for this establishment at the front desk. First of all the menu is enormous. So many delicious options. It was hard to choose. We ordered the Home Alone combo and added tiramisu and cannolis for dessert. The young man who took our order was clearly all over it and made sure he had the right hotel (lol I had no idea what our address was) and room #. He said delivery be 45 min- perfectly acceptable on a weekend. I'd agreed to come downstairs to meet delivery. 35 min later there was a knock at our door - surprise! the delivery man - super nice- and they'd even sent extra plates and cups! Everything was packaged neatly and individually. Now onto the food. We ordered a large pie, half pepperoni, and oh my God. The sauce as others have stated is perfect. It's really what you expect from a good pizza. It tasted fresh, as in you could actually taste the seasonings. Bubbled fluffy crust the way it should be. Our meal included an order of garlic knots and oh my God. They were amazingly tender and the garlic- Lordy my fingers smelled of garlic for an hour. So yum. Room for improvement here would be a nice sprinkle of parm. Otherwise perfect. Still hot too! Mozzarella sticks were just ok but they're nothing special anyway- would be better with seasoned breading. The marinara sauce for dipping made them better. Desserts? I'm an Italian NYer and a cannoli snob. These were GREAT. Crispy shells, enough said. We had a hard time deciding what we liked better as the tiramisu was also just delish. A large pie is LARGE and 3 of us didn't finish half. We ate so much because it was so good that we all felt like hell after but it was totally worth it. So we called to check on its status and they said that they hadn't even begun to make it. The employee said they were slammed with 100s of orders. We responded that they shouldn't take orders unless they can fulfill them OR they should tell people about being slammed when they call in. This way, they know what they're getting into. Ugh. I have been here a couple of times because it is close to me they have good pizza, sauce and crust are solid. Chicken parm sandwich was good my only complaint not enough sauce so it was kind of dry, they used already fried chopped cutlets that was not fresh and you can taste the difference. The kids that answer the phone constantly screw up orders sometimes and the management just doesn't seem to care a little unprofessional. Ordered from this place from my job. First we ordered buffalo wings and pizza which came to $23. Thought that was a ridiculously crazy total for the two items. Called to cancel the buffalo wings and was told that it would take 20 minutes for the pizza, which then came to $12. ($10 for wings?! WTF!) Waited a WHOLE hour and 15 minutes for the pizza and called back and was told that it JUST CAME OUT OF THE OVEN AND IT'S ON IT'S WAY. When it arrived, it was warm, not hot. We work (obviously not able to pick it up) 5 minutes from the place and it took an hour for it to be deliver and we were not even wowed by the pizza at all. So for our customers here, they won't be recommended to the Hasbrouck Heights Pizzeria at all. We don't want our customers waiting a whole hour for food when it only takes 5 minutes to get here. read more

The plain cheese had good flavor with the cheese and sauce but the crunch factor wasn't there ($2/slice). For me, crunch trumps all. If the crust is thin and crispy, then I can overlook a flavorless sauce or even burnt cheese. But I do understand that there are people out there that prefer a chewy crust (why? I have no idea). So I can only assume that those people gave high ratings to this pizzeria. If you're looking for a place with a large dining room, then head over to Lovey's. Heights Pizzeria can sit a maximum of 20 people. But there isn't a buffer from the front entrance, so that means every time someone comes in or out you're getting slapped with cold or hot air (depending on the season). Like most businesses on the Boulevard, front street parking will be a challenge. However, you can sneak and park in the lot next to the Borough Hall. If there aren't any spots there, then you'll find plenty of parking on cross streets. Aside from the plain cheese, they offer 3-5 pies by the slice, including a plain Sicilian. The Sicilian is decent but definitely not in my top 10. If you live in Hasbrouck Heights and want to diverge from Lovey's, then Heights Pizza is a decent option. Just don't forget about La Bella Napoli or Roma's. They deliver too... read more

Quite possibly the best it gets in Hasbrouck Heights! Owner is super nice guy. Good specialty slices like Margerita, Grandma, Drunken Grandma, as well as a few others. Calzones are also tasty! Eggplant rollatinis also hit the spot. Loved the bread they give as a side dish as it's good to dip in the sauce. Pasta dishes are good too. A place that uses quality ingredients for sure. They come off a truck (gasp!). If you live in the area you can spot the truck shipping fresh ingredients in. I would have given them four stars if it wasn't for these two major issues. The first is don't even bother to come here on a Friday. The place gets swamped with some of the town's best and brightest (note the hint of sarcasm). You can wait up to two hours some Fridays. It's not there fault but I remember my dad trying to order here on Friday and I told him "NOOOOOOOOOO!!!! DON'T DO IT!". Sure enough he said he walked in and the place was a mad house. There were a lot of angry people and the place isn't the biggest so I can only imagine what a mob scene that was. Second their calamari has some sogginess issues. It's hit or miss and if you place an order for pick up of Calamari be prepared to wait anyway. They have to prepare it as soon as you arrive so it's not soggy. Then what is the point of calling in an order anyway??? Nonetheless Heights pizza is a good pizzeria with some imperfections that seem to be out of their control. Just come here on a weekday and don't even bother with the calamari. Stick to the pizza, calzones, entrees, and pasta dishes. Place does hit the spot and so glad it's close to home. read more

I order pizza through this "restaurants " preferred method of ordering which is Hunger Rush. Ordered two pies , my card was charged and I was given a time frame of 45 minutes to pick the order up. I went to the location and they had no order. The young lady at the counter said it happens all the time and I would have to reorder. So I reordered and repayed. Now paying $90 for two pizza's. I went home with my crazily expensive pizza only to find my extra cheese pie had no cheese at all. Crust and sauce. Maybe the cheese was another charge.
