New place in Vacaville in a small strip plaza next to the Pho Saigon that we go there often. We placed an order over the phone for 9 different orders and some of time with special request. I was very impressed that all orders were prepared right! Service was fast, took about 20 mins for huge order. And staff were super nice when we picked up the food. I like they have different options for the meal, especially the healthy low carbs option with brown rice and veggie and fruit. Option was huge with reasonable price. My coworkers and me were happy with their food. One thing I know they are working on is the delivery service. We work locally but we can't always go out to pick up food. I have not had Hawaiian food for a while, give this place a try and definitely great place! This place has a pretty nice parking and they have outdoor seating for eating, just no dine in yet. Lots of choices from the menu, I ordered the shrimp garlic combo and it's so good. The food came with macaroni salad, steam rice, stir fry veggies with broccoli and lots of shrimps. The food is simply too expensive for the quality and the quantity. The service is very friendly and the food is made in a decent amount of time. I'm not a huge fan of how they use steamed vegetables to make the food look like there is more than there really is. Wow we're pretty happy that we found this place. Their food is pretty good. We got their garlic shrimp, grilled chicken Musubi and chicken katsu with Hawaiian bbq beef. The garlic shrimp had a lot of garlic and was already shelled and deveined. No more peeling. I love it! It came with 2 scoops of rice and Mac. The Mac was a little plain for my liking. It looked like Mac with Mayo to me, but it actually tasted better when I heated it up in the microwave. I didn't really get to try the Musubi but with my guess it was good. My LO enjoyed eating the Musubi, she said just like Hawaii. The chicken katsu was ok. While the bbq beef was very flavorful but it had a beef jerky texture. All you get is a teriyaki chicken, kalbi Beef, some other beef I can not explain. You get vegetables, mac salad and rice. I ended up getting the Lychee green tea as well, make sure you stir it as well or it will taste bland as all the sugar is on the bottom. The service was really great as well as they asked me if the food was great. Was it comparable to the Loft back in Southern California or the one in Las Vegas, nope, but the food was great and would come back. I ordered from this place for the first time, last week. I received my food from a delivery service app and honestly, I have had zero complaints about the quality of the food after it's been delivered. I got the Loco Moco plate (as I am a big fan of things drenched in gravy) through a delivery app, the chicken katsu plate, BBQ combo plate, as well as six spam musubis (this is not all for me, mind you.) The loco moco was above average from the ones that I've tried before. Spam musubi was plain and by-the-book, standard-issue, but what got me the most about the musubi was its pairing with the gravy from the loco moco. And from what I've tried, I've come to the conclusion that what makes this Hawaiian BBQ place stand out from the others is that the dishes from this particular place pair extremely well with each other. The portions are also large enough and very filling. I had a bit of the katsu and kalbi as well. Let me just say that overall quality of the food already beats the nearby L&L and while it is nothing to write home about, there's something about the overall taste that ties all of the pairings of dishes together that is definitely five-star quality, at the very least. Bubble tea (I got the coffee flavor) was also prepared very well. I could tell from the packaging alone that these folks put a good amount of thought and care to whom they deliver. All in all, nothing bad to say about this place except for the fact that I got sickeningly full really quick from the amount I was scarfing down. First time trying some take out from here today. I've been to L&L in Nut Tree a couple times, & I have to say this restaurant is much better as far as their Loco Moco. The gravy is good, I just wish they went a little heavier on it. Macaroni salad was good- but it should be separate from the meat, eggs, & rice. The to go container has those little compartments so everything was kind of separated while I'd rather they were all combined like true loco mocos. I wasn't expecting the veggies - they were yummy, but again, wish they were in their own container. The hamburger was cooked nicely, & the portions are generous for the price tag. I would also ask the eggs to be cooked over easy/medium instead of over hard. The cashier who rang me up was very sweet and courteous. I had been wanting to try this place since I first saw their sign announcing it was coming soon. We tried to eat their once or twice but there was no parking which is common for that little area around meal times. I finally got smart and placed an online order and hopped out of the passenger seat to run in and get our food. The staff was extremely nice and the food was just bagged so it was still nice and hot when we got home. The bag was heavy which meant they loaded us up. Got home and I was right. One plate did have a considerable amount of meat over the other, which I let Mike have, but the other was enough for me to have two meals. We both got the BBQ chicken and Katsu plate. Katsu was crispy and delish with the included sauces. The BBQ chicken had really good flavor and was tender. The steamed vegetables were a nice addition. I just put a little adobo with pepper and they were on point. The only thing I wasn't too crazy about was the macaroni salad. I bet it would have been really good but it was hot and steamed by being in the container. I like my salad cold which I would suggest it being placed in another container on to go orders. Finally another Hawaiian BBQ place to try in town! My friend and I were excited to try this new place and we were happy we did. This place is in a very small shopping center with a small parking lot. There's a few tables inside and outside as well. Everything on the menu looked good and I had a hard time deciding what I wanted. I ended up ordering the garlic shrimp and an order of spam musubi. The portion of the garlic shrimp was good and they also give a generous portion of rice and Mac salad. The Mac salad has a little bit of flavor and not just mayonnaise. The spam musubi doesn't have any sauce in it but the employees remind you to take some teriyaki sauce for them. My friend ordered the chicken katsu and kalua pork and both had great flavor. I also liked how veggies are served with the meals. We came on a Friday night and they were clearly busy with take outs. We waited about 10 minutes for our food which wasn't too bad. It's been a long while since I've written a Yelp review. It's also been a long time since been this blown away by quality (semi-fast?) food. I know this restaurant just re-opened after acquiring new owners. Either the new chefs are super good, the new owner is trying super hard, or both. All the food I ordered tasted incredibly fresh and even "vibrant". (By "vibrant", I mean the exact OPPOSITE of that single piece of a stale, soggy lettuce you get inside a burger from Burger King or Jack in the Box.) The garlic shrimp was fresh and juicy. The chicken katsu and BBQ chicken were fresh and cooked to the perfect timing. None of it tasted one bit aged, which is a common problem in similar restaurants. I don't think they did much remodeling because floor and walls still look aged. But don't let the shabby look of the place fool you. The food here is amazing. read more

We phoned ahead of time and ordered take-out (they offer delivery yet). The food is ready within 15 minutes or so, so fast! My favorite was the chicken Katsu, very moist and crisp at the same time. Second favorite was the bbq mix plate, cooked perfect and great flavor. My hubby had the garlic shrimp though, and was not too impressed. We were comparing it to garlic shrimp we had at North Shore in Oahu, so maybe it didn't live up to that expectation.
