First time here, seen alot of hype on tiktok so figured why not give it a shot on our anniversary. Got there walked in it was nice, ambiance was really spot on, seats were comfortable, lighting was just right, it was just a good enviroment. Service was eh, our server i forgot her name but she was all over the place from what it seemed and she only had about 3 tables when we first got there. Then she got alot more and then she really was kinda outta sight but i knock no points for that cause i understand especially once she got busy. Now on to the food, we started off with the chips and queso and honestly they were great. Chips a bit salty but all around great flavors, with the type of crunch they had i could tell they must also be fried in tallow. My wife got the blackened catfish and gulf shrimp with cajun corn, was decent but not cohesive at all in my opinion, catfish wasnt as blackened as it should have been, shrimps were good, corn did not belong and had no cajun to it honestly it had more mexican flavor to it than cajun , getting a perfect bite with everything on the fork just wasnt it. I went for the double cheese burger on a sesame bun instead of the everything bun ( not a fan of everything bagel) and honestly it was ehhh , i could have gotten a better burger for that price or less at chilis, the bun was very dry, the cheese had a weird flavor to it didnt taste like american and white american, the patties had a good crust but lacked flavor, the sauce was decent a take on thousand island so eh, the tallow fries were good, but tasted like they had been fried a while before being served, and kinda lacked flavor as well, the ketchup though was not it, was very bitter like a poor quality ketchup. My wife also had the brussels and they were good, needed to be cooked a bit longer though, and needs a sauce in them like a vinaigrette or a sweet sauce, that would take them from a 4.5 to a solid 8. Overall i would give the place a 5/10 the food id give a 3/10 did not live up to the ambience or the price. I think this place does have potential to have some good food though, and i mean you cant please everyones palate so again just my opinion. Also when i set a reservation they ask if theres a special occasion typically if there is at most places they give a free little dessert or something but here i guess it was for no reason but i didnt dock any points for it was just like why ask lol. read more

The best Smoked Fried Chicken on earth!! Wow it was delicious. Our server recommended the Fried Green Tomatoes and the Daily Plate. It was Wednesday so they were offering Smoked Fried Chicken. It was absolutely OUTSTANDING! The service was attentive and friendly. The entire team created an amazing experience for us. The space is so gorgeous. They have a beautiful patio on the upper level. Great private dining spaces for any future events you are trying to hold. They have small intimate spaces as well as larger dining rooms for events and meetings. This restaurant is must try. The decor is beautiful marrying ranch style and modern furniture with elegant lighting. This restaurant was made for date night, night out with friends , or private events. You must order the Chef's Favorite 4 as an appetizer. The elk tacos, onion rings and queso were the winners. I wish the fried green tomatoes had a harder batter on them. If you are a fan of an old fashioned, I highly suggest you splurge a little and opt for "The Judd". I am a fan of tableside presentations and nothing beats an old fashioned smoked tableside. For the entrees I had the redfish and the low and slow chicken. The red fish was cooked very well and the zydeco sauce and lump crab were mouthwatering. Surprisingly I dived into the frisée citrus salad first as it was fresh and vinaigrette was simply perfect. Now to the low and slow chicken... looks can be deceiving. Yes it's just chicken, however the stars of the plate are the chimichurri rice and the tortillas. The tortillas are freshly made and infused with herbs and the rice .. well I couldn't stop eating ! Marry the whole plate together and you have a dish full of layers of flavor. Special recognition to our waiter Sam. He was excellent and never missed a beat on service. We never lacked for anything the whole night! I highly suggest not passing up the Homestead Cake or the Whiskey bread pudding but order the whiskey sauce on the side... in my opinion it's way better without it . read more

Kat was our server and she went above and beyond. I have both an IgE-mediated and intolerance to alliums (sucks because I LOVE onions, garlic, etc.). She double-checked with the chef to ensure that I would not regret my meal choice. It's already embarrassing to have to order special so I appreciate Kat taking this seriously and not making me feel like I was a pain-in-the-@$$. Came for the first time over the weekend. This place is huge and has multiple places for dining, sitting & having a drink, etc. There was some confusion about where we were going to be seated and who was taking us. After that was resolved, everything was great. The chicken fried chicken was so good and not a huge portion. Loved the macaroni & cheese and mashed potatoes. Gorgeous ambiance & decor. We attended a seminar tonight and the restaurant provided a free buffet in a private conference room. When we got to the end of the buffet there was a container full of ice and beer sitting at end of buffet pans. No sign. So we took two beers. Ready to leave standing at elevator waiter came over and said we owed for the two beers. He said we owed $14.00 for the two beer and gratuity 5.00 since we sitting at large table of people. No one took our order for the beers or served us the beers. We feel we were set up and taken. We will never attend this restaurant and it was our first time. Also no free valet either but charged a fee. Most places have free valet and then u tip the driver. Although I really do not like someone driving my car. read more

First of all I'd like to start by saying that the environment is very beautiful it's got a western ballroom classy ambience that's romantic but also very fun. When I walked into the restaurant I was walking in to meet people who already were there I was NOT greeted at the front desk at all by four different employees who were standing around and looking a little aimlessly as if they didn't know what they were doing. I then asked the bar if there was another seating section because I couldn't find my party and she was kind enough to escort upstairs so I could find my party and get seated. Our waitress was very kind and she took my order and the food came out great there were a few things that were missing and things we had to wait on which is sometimes expected with a brand new restaurant opening that's only been open for this long but there were no accommodations made, no extra mile for the guests, nothing made me really want to return... the food was delicious BUT I will say that the restaurant could definitely benefit from properly training and preparing everybody they've hired with the proper etiquette or looking for a more charismatic staff who like they want to be there. Our waitress was wonderful but everybody else including the bar crew upstairs, looked a little aloof and lost, they didn't know how to properly welcome guest into a restaurant or lead with confidence in the place I was dining in. On a side note I was trying to take a simple photo of my champagne with the background in the back in a clear shot and one of the MALE bartenders (from the upstairs bar) looked me in the eye and completely walked in front of my camera without any consideration of what I was doing as a customer trying to post a new photo of the restaurant ... I'm never a person to complain about photos in public places because they are public places and I know people are at work but the restaurant was RARELY busy and for a restaurant that's only been open for a month and for the back to back faint disappointments in the service and the promptness of when the food was served I would hope that the employees would try to at least show some consideration, kindness, and over all manners. After I was finished, I went downstairs and again by three different employees at the front desk was I not said A WORD, no "thank you for dining with us" ,"have a good one" , nothing. read more

Very good place indeed! Went on a Friday night and the place was buzzing. Ample parking in the attached garage or you can valet in front of the restaurant, which is complimentary. Arrived on time for a reservation, but table was not ready so had to wait about 5 minutes. Food was fantastic as were the cocktails! A cup of venison chili is more like 2 cups and it was very tasty and not too spicy for a hot summer evening. Double-cut pork chop was superb, juicy and cooked perfectly. Ribs were amazing and fall-off-the-bone tender. Decor is very nice. Service was a tad slow - likely due to the newness of the place, but not a show stopper. Will I go back? Definitely!! read more

Loved everything about Haywire. I took my mom here for lunch. It's definitely a western style where the servers were western attire to boot! I had the house salad, which I'm not even kidding, was one of the FRESHEST salads I've had in a long time. I also had the brisket sandwich, which was buttery and cheesy and all the things. we use to go here a few months back. We really liked the place and also told a few of my vendors about the place and the great potential this place has to do events there. Never had issues with this place. We used to just sit downstairs in the bar waiting area and chat, drinks and dinner. Well on Friday ( our normal date night) we wanted to go back here since we have not been in a while and wanted to sit outside. Got there at 6:30 went upstairs and got to the patio area. the waiter took a minute to get there but we weren't in a big rush. Wife order an old fashion and i ordered a smoked old fashion and order queso. took a minute to get our drinks, but the waiter came back gave my wife her old fashioned and told me that they ran out of the wood chips and couldn't make the old fashioned and drop off a regular old fashioned. didn't give me a choice if i wanted that or something else. Ok, i kinda didn't mind, still waiting at this point for the chip and queso. Never saw him again until about 20 minutes later after he dropped off the first round of drinks. when we got there it wasn't that busy, but by now it got a little busier. we are about 30 odds minutes into this and the queso still never showed up and he hasn't really been back to take our order. We are HUNGRY at that point. 40 minutes into this still nothing so I said cancel the app and give us our check. he was like ok. another bartender came over at this point and was going to check us out. told her what happen and she was like I am so sorry, let me get the manager, my face shouldn't be the last you see on your bad experience. 15 minutes later STILL nothing, so I went in said screw the manager just give me the check so we can leave. We are hungry and no one wants to take care of us. Paid and about to leave. when the manager comes over and asking if things was ok. As the manager and i were trying to talked he kept trying to keep us, I already told him we want to leave cause we were hungry. he said yeah Queso shouldn't take that long. I said we have been waiting for a manger for 15 minutes (giving I am seeing him chatting and laughing with another customer) he said he would expedite our food if we stayed, i am no that is not what we wanted. we just wanted to leave. he kept trying to keep us there gave me his card. ok this is what got me, he was like sorry it was busy, i am like no when we got here the patio was half empty, plus it shouldn;t take 45 minutes to get apps. he said well it was a Friday night and they are all like that. I am no, they are NOT all like that. ok back to the waiter, the guy is a hefty guy, but he need to learn to do better with his dressing. his clothes is all coming out and is a little messy. His attitude was kinda of like he doesn't care. Not really wanting to be there, i do feel that service there is bad. Cause my wife was telling me that other tables were complaining too. the whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth. I wish I would have taken pictures of the elevated Texas decor in this gorgeous restaurant. It's all in the details, from the table side smoked Haywire old fashioned, the espresso martini, MASSIVE - half onion sized onion rings, fried green tomatoes, and the light jalapeno cheddar gravy on the waygu country fried steak, tallow fries and perfectly sautéed green beans, everything was FANTASTIC! Our server Ezra was incredible! He was helpful, knowledgeable, and personable. We really enjoyed our experience here. My only critique would be that I wish we everything was fried in tallow. I get needing to have a dedicated gluten free fryer for the GF people, but tallow is so much better for the body than nasty seed oils. I definitely splurged away from my usual eating habits, but for those who don't care, this place is wonderful. For those who do - just avoid all fried things except the tallow fries and ask about dressings. Service and atmosphere are top notch! First of all we went to this place for my cousin's birthday. It took 2 hours for majority of us to get our food. It took longer than that for me and my cousin to get our food. This place took up my whole day waiting for food, I could've done so many other things. And keep in mind I've been to so many restaurant parties with a lot of people but none have taken this long. So finally my cousin got her food but she didn't even like it and said it was soggy. I was the only one without food after that, and the waitress said they were remaking my fries. Like come on you could have already delivered my food instead of taking 3 million years. The food was decent for everyone else which is why I have it 2 stars instead of 1.
