Heavy Handed was good. Ordered the single smash burger and it was pretty good. It had the perfect blend of seasoning. It was the perfect size. Ordered the swirl ice cream and that was delicious. The food came out fast. The food was fresh. The staff were kind.. There's plenty of seating BUT NOT plenty of parking. Parking is a hit or miss during peak hours and a struggle to find. But there's plenty of seats inside and outdoor parking. There's TVs throughout so you will not be bored. There interior design is pretty cool.

Sooooo good!!! Get the vanilla ice cream dipped in Funfetti. It's absolutely amazing, and the hard shell coating is so delicious! The service was friendly and quick, parking was easy, and the space was really nice. I already can't wait to come back and try the smash burgers. Highly recommend

Heavy Handed is so good. The simplicity of their smash burger is what keeps me coming back every time. Definitely get the combo so you can get the fries. Waited 20 mins for the food, but I'd take this over In-N-Out any day. The soft serve was also bomb. We got chocolate with butterscotch shell and vanilla chocolate swirl with the funfetti shell. Sweet but genuinely sooo good. There's parking designated for heavy handed, most I've waited is 5 minutes for parking.

Heavy Handed is always my go to spot in Studio City! I usually order the single combo with fries. Quality: The burger is always cooked to perfection and the sauce is on point! The fries are hot and crispy. There are always so many fries and I always forget to share because I can never finish it all! Parking: Parking can be challenging during peak times. There is a parking lot and street parking located as well. Dessert: The soft serve ice cream is always a must! I had the swirl funfetti dipped one. It was a nice treat after a burger and fries. I would highly recommended you come here if you're in the area. If you have a long drive like we did take the ice cream cone for the drive (:

I'd been to this location for at least three times already. I do love their burger which is probably one of the best smashed burgers I've ever had. I love the wall decor. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. They do have a private parking lot which is rare in Ventura Blvd. Service was always friendly. Wait times could be longer than expected because they're always busy. Their burgers are good but I can't justify the $9 price tag on a single burger.

This must be their best location They have their own parking lot and are located right in Ventura blvd They have both indoor and outdoor seating. You can relax here with large screen s mounted throughout the room. Nice with the help yourself soda machine available right at the counter This location feels more roomy and relaxing here Solid smash burger Big ice cream cones Crispy fries

Heavy Handed is one of my favorite smash burgers in LA - a lot of smash burgers are overrated here (in my opinion), but the Heavy Handed ones are the REAL DEAL! This location has both indoor and outdoor seating, and even a small parking lot (although it's a very cramped one that can be tricky getting in and out of....I usually just find street parking nearby when I come. Ordering is always quick and easy, even when it's busy (which it usually is!), and I've never had to wait more than a couple minutes for my food. As for the burgers themselves, the burgers HIT! Perfectly prepared, great buns, and a delicious sauce that complements the smash patties PERFECTLY. The fries here remind me of McDonald's fries, but a little bit thicker...I personally really like them...whether or not you do probably depends on personal preference. Heavy Handed is a MUST in my opinion if you're visiting LA, and as a local, one of my regular spots to hit up! I definitely recommend Heavy Handed in Studio City!

Met up with my nephew to try this spot in studio city . I only tasted the fries because there's nothing vegetarian! If you're a meat eater you will like it . Parking in lot ! Order first then it buzzes you when it's ready

Fire confetti dipped cone. It was so good just got a little too waxy for me towards the end. Overall great service dope inside didn't spend too much time here but cool spot. Will definitely be back to check out the burger.

    Lot of pickles, love them!

I really love the fries here! They are not your basic fry, they are crisp and well seasoned. The burger is what you expect of a smash burger and I was not dissapointed!

My roommate put me onto Heavy Handed and honestly, they are so good. Yes, it is around fifteen dollars for a burger, and yes, you could go to In N Out. But this is higher quality. Let me start with the fries. They are thick and crispy, which is rare. Thick fries are hard to get right and these were actually done well. I could easily destroy a whole order. The burger itself was great. The sauce is really good and everything tasted high quality. If you are willing to spend a little more for a solid burger, this place is worth it. Just note the portions are not huge. I have had bigger burgers elsewhere, but this was filling enough for me. Service was fast and the workers were really nice, which is always a plus. Overall, it feels like elevated fast food. Same convenience, better quality. I would definitely come back.

Smash burger was yummy! Not much of a fan of the type of pickles it comes with (can def do without). The burger has the perfect amount of sauce and cheese. Overall, I really enjoyed it! French fries were ok. They are def generous with the amount of fries and toppings it comes with. Service was quick and easy. Love the music they play here and it's pretty spacious inside . I look forward to trying their ice cream cone next time! Parking: street/ metered parking.

    Ashley S.

Overall: A pretty solid smashburger! Not even a huge burger fan in general, but it was tasty and filling. The fries were okay, nothing too special but a generous portion. Service: Nice staff and food came out in a timely manner. Ambiance: Pretty bright and lively inside - I did appreciate that they had the basketball game on!

I didn't have a good experience, but decided that it could have been a one-time bad luck thing, so I didn't review. I recently tried it again now that it became Brews Brothers, and I'm sorry to say that it really misses the mark for me. Here is the breakdown of the pros and cons: Pros: One star for friendly service and being dog friendly. One star for good alcohol. Cons: - Seating is very uncomfortable. When this place was Stout, seating was very comfy. But for some reason, they've raised the bench seating WAY too high, to the point that your feet dangle if you're under 5'6". You're WAY above the table, and it's awkward and quite uncomfortable. - Food is sub-par. We tried an Okie burger and an ahi sandwich. The Okie burger was dry, tasteless, and underseasoned. The ahi sandwich was bland and unremarkable. The fries were far too overbreaded for my taste. I used to love this place, but now, after two not-great experiences with meh food and bad seating, I do not think I'll be back. Please, guys! Lower your bench seating and improve your burgers! You're competing with Forman's and Laurel Tavern!

I enjoyed this flavor so much that I ended up getting two more rounds later. Plenty of beer selection on tap and even wine. They offer indoor/outdoor seating as well as some space upstairs. Indoors they have a big screen, and the outdoor patio has a TV. Lastly, the upstairs area has a smaller TV. They also have rotating food trucks for anyone that develops hunger or cravings. Sherman Oaks is gritty and the section of Ventura Boulevard that houses TLP is almost brutalist in its anti-establishment aesthetic. You would never know it was here if you didn't either live in the neighborhood or seek it out as I did. It is sandwiched between a completely non-descript place that I didn't even look at and a crystals shop with grafitti-etched windows (unfortunately!) but some really cool beads. Inside is the same -- no frills, a dress-down and survive-if-you-dare vibe. My pictures will illustrate what I mean. Nevertheless, the friendly service (shout out to our server, Patrick), the menu, and the quality of the food are well worth it. Again, see what we ordered in the photos attached. Everything was delicious. The floor, tables, and chairs were all clean. There is some kind of post-apocalypse rhumba going on with the ceiling treatment. It is almost reverse-logic art with all the shading (stains? velour movement?) and utilitarian installation it reveals. Love the walls though, and the worn distressed wood everywhere (see the pix, folks). A bonus was watching the Masters (Patrick let us linger) and sitting by a giant window that was open to the street. Parking is up a block or so on either side. We always find safe spots in Sherman Oaks. The music seemed to be one CD of an unknown (to me) vocal artist and was pleasant. The crowd was friendly and the whole atmosphere was like one big homey grunge party. You know those mornings you fall out of bed and almost don't want to change out of your pajamas or yoga threds?
