No more Subway and no more Jersey Mikes! Weve found a great Deli/Restaurant! Everything on our Sandwiches was fresh! No preservatives, just FRESH! A hidden GEM in the Mentone area! We will definitely be returning! Heska and Joe thank you for the conversation and the great food! A perfect, cozy restaurant!

This place is super cute and has the most personable owners. I ordered a vanilla latte hot and it was perfection. I love the personalized mugs. The ambiance is very laid back. Check out their outdoor patio area too.

Amazing everything I'm on a mission to try every single sandwich better than Jersey mikes. Better than subway. Best food in mentone hands down. And owners are amazing

A gem in mentone, Heska is so fun to talk to. Not only that but the FOOD so so good my friends all got something different and we were passing our sandwichs around the table for each of us to try and trading because we all liked each others. Really cool spot, can't wait to bring my pups next time!

AMAZING SERVICE AND QUALITY. Best homemade food anywhere you go. The service is amazing, true love birds with a story behind their cafe/restaurant. Cozy and comfy indoor and outdoor setting. Dog friendly and human friendly too. Treat the owners with respect, they don't disappoint! Fresh and good quality food. I go here every time I drive up the 38 or go to big Bear. They have live music too!

A great place to stop for lunch. Busy on a Sunday afternoon. Promptly greeted and order was taken quickly. Food as delicious, beef dip was excellent, oriental chicken salad was on the smaller side (ordered a large portion). Plenty of seating inside and dog friendly seating outside.

Let talk about how Authentic the flavors in the food are. You don't get this sort of quality anywhere these days. Did I also say Fresh HOMEMADE bread We sat in they're beautiful backyard for the cutest Lunch! Where Heska & her husband both came by to have a little chat ! We had the best time to say the least. This is a Hidden Gem. Do Not pass it by! I didn't realize what I was missing until we tried it. Thank you Heska for your wonderful energy & amazing cooking. It was an honor.

Whenever I'm back in Redlands visiting my parents, I make a trip to Heskas for my usual: Mocha Frappe with the Spicy Mongolian Beef and Oriental Salad combo. This time I took my dog Yuki with me for a lunch date at their Bark Park. Joe, Heska's husband, was super sweet and went out of his way to accommodate Yuki with a water bowl and a Milkbone. I used to study inside by the window years ago, and the coziness of the Shack extended nicely to the backyard as well. Thanks for all the years of delicious sandwiches and Mocha frappes!

Delicious sandwiches on homemade rolls. Tuna melt and Mongolian with a kick,

This place is always busy, both inside and with takeout orders, so I definitely recommend ordering ahead if you're in a hurry. That said, they are consummate professionals at what they do, and even if you walk in, the wait is never painful. My advice: check out the menu while you're in line and be ready to order when you get to the register. They're busy, and nobody wants to be the indecisive person holding up the line! Their daily specials are incredible, but be aware that if you want a special from a different day, it's not happening. Also, get there early if you want the special, because they can and do sell out -- which honestly just proves how good they are. Everything here is done right. The menu items are thoughtfully put together, balanced, and full of flavor. Portions are generous without being ridiculous, prices are very fair, and honestly, I think they may even be low compared to the value you get. The staff is always helpful, and the girl at the counter has been there as long as I've been going -- I believe she's family -- which says a lot about the heart behind this place. Don't skip the market, either. They carry some of the best Italian ingredients, and it adds even more to the experience. Saverino's is by far the best sandwich spot in Redlands, and I'd go out on a limb and put them in the top five on the West Coast. Family-run, local, consistent, and absolutely top notch. This place is a winner and deserves a try. Just one warning: THEY ARE ADDICTIVE!

I had the chai latte (so good), a cheese danish (dangerous), and an Everlasting Ferments kombucha...the Habanero Ginger is a sleeper hit. You can also snag breakfast burritos if you're lucky (they sell out), or freshly made stuffed waffles from a vendor outside, which somehow makes the whole experience feel extra charming. We went at a perfect time, before the line went almost out the door. Our food was just okay. We kept it simple with a bacon, egg, & cheese sandwich (which was fine) and a sausage, egg, & cheese sandwich. The sausage seems to have just been warmed. We wish it would have been cooked on a flat top or something similar. We both tried new iced coffees. Caramel Coconut Latte and the Billy Buster. The latte was lightly flavored with actual coconut pieces inside. We weren't sure whether to get the Billy Buster hot or iced; the cashier recommended iced. When sipping the coffee through the straw, chunks of peanut butter were coming up and separating in my mouth, leaving an odd texture. I attempted to stir the drink as much as possible, but was only able to finish a 1/4 of it. I'm wondering if hot would have been better for the blending of the peanut butter into the drink?! We would not order it again, nor the sausage sandwich.

The Reuben and potato salad combo was especially hearty and satisfying, with rich, savory flavors that felt very true to a classic deli experience. The Hungarian sausage had a great depth of flavor, savory and well-seasoned without tipping into being overly salty. The cherry strudel was a standout to end the meal, filled generously with cherries and syrup, wrapped in a flaky pastry that balanced sweetness and texture really well. The beer tied everything together nicely, cold and refreshing, and exactly what you'd want with this kind of meal. I still prefer Busy Bees in San Pedro, but this was a nice alternative within the IE area. Price: George's Market falls into a casual, reasonable deli pricing tier. Sandwiches like the Reuben and similar deli items are generally in the mid‑teens range, while sausage plates and hot meals can push closer to around $15-20 depending on what you get. Beer and imported items vary, but overall you can expect to spend about $15-25 per person for a solid, filling meal. Given the quality, portion sizes, and specialty nature of the food, the pricing feels fair. Ambiance: The space is part cozy German market, part deli counter, with a warm, wood-heavy interior that feels inviting and a bit nostalgic. There's both indoor seating and an outdoor area, giving flexibility depending on the weather or how busy it is. Beyond the dining area, the market itself sells a wide range of German groceries and specialty products, which adds to the charm and makes it feel like more of an experience than just a quick meal. Service: Service was good and impressively efficient given how busy it gets. There was a noticeable line when we went (especially on a weekend lunch time), but things moved steadily and the staff kept everything organized without feeling rushed or chaotic. Friendly and straightforward overall. Parking: Parking is one of the easier parts of the visit. It's located in a plaza with a large shared lot, so there's plenty of space and no real hassle finding a spot, even during peak hours.
