I was in the area and got to try this place out with family. I love sushi but decided to try something else. I ordered the spicy chicken donburi which was simply a rice bowl with Thai chicken donburi. Not too spicy so it was easy on my insides. I also ordered an avocado eel hand roll. Everything was really good and the service was great too. I really like the decor hanging from the ceilings. I'd like tones what it looks like at night.

Talk sushi to me! Hiroba Sushi has an extensive menu with a variety of sushi, chicken teriyaki, ramen, tempura, and yummy desserts like tempura cheesecake and mochi ice cream. They even have different rolls using black rice. Service was super quick and we were in and out in no time. Plenty of seating inside and can accommodate large groups. They had a lot of to-go orders when we were there so kitchen was active. Food: - B.B.Q. Quality of this sushi is delishhh! I feel like there is a saying, a place that doesn't serve all you can eat always provides better quality fish and ingredients for sushi, as well as presentation, and after dining here I totally get it. Came here last night for my friend's birthday, which was so nice to celebrate at. It was rather busy for a Monday night, but it was a holiday. It's so nice and welcoming in here. I think they updated tables and whatnot, because last time I was here it was a lot more dark inside. This time around they had lighter tables, lanterns hanging from the ceiling, a wall of long time patrons... it felts more welcoming and more homey. Our server was great and the manager Tristan was great, too. I ordered the orange blossom and the rock and roll to split with my mother in law. We both really enjoyed the rolls! They were so good. And the presentation was absolutely stunning. I had never seen orange blossom presented that way! It was gorgeous! Only thing we had an issue was with how long it was taking to bring the sushi out. It felt like every other table was getting theirs sooner than us, even those with groups as big as ours. And every time we would ask, the servers and staff were so nice about it, but we just kept getting told it was backed up, then like 10 minutes later it was "what are you still waiting on?" They recognized it a bit and gave us a few free drinks because of it since we were waiting so long. I definitely would give them another shot. Like I said, it was taking a while, but the staff was very kind about it. And the sushi was delicious!

Went back for our millionth time on Saturday and once again it was FANTASTIC!!! We got to meet the GM, Eddie. What a fun loving guy. My husband & I would go back just to hang out with him. But, obviously the food is delicious. We enjoyed the Orange Blossom, Super Duper, Hiroba 1, Dancing Dragon, Chicken Fried Rice, Screaming O and lots of different Sake. If you haven't been here, you must try. Great atmosphere, exceptional service. It's the best in town. Thank you for a great time!

My favorite sushi spot in Henderson. The quality is top notch. The service great. And even when i order pickup it's always packed so neatly. LOVE THIS PLACE

Sashimi platter was good. Service was good. Love the chairs at the sushi bar, very comfortable, noise level was great. The menu is way too big and overwhelming. The edamame was over cooked, the beans were mushy, we ordered a sashimi salad, they put marinaded poke on top of lettuce. Not good. If you are a sushi connoisseur, you may not like this place, if you stick to sashimi or nigiri, it might get 4 stars. Chef John was very nice and accommodating, just didn't have the quality or innovation we are searching for.

This is my favorite sushi place ever! They do not have all you can eat but the prices are so affordable that it doesn't even matter. The sushi is so consistently great each time. They have other great items on the menu besides sushi. They have ramen, donburri rice bowls, lunch and dinner boxes. They also have great deserts as well. The tempura banana split and fruity sweety roll are my favorites. The staff is full of amazing and sweet people. All in all, the food and the service is awesome. Highly recommend! read more

Update: Went for our Weekly Sushi trip and I have to say that the last visit must have been a fluke. Service was amazing, food was excellent and Sashimi tasted like I was living in Hawaii again! We love this place and are so happy we live so close! :) read more

Who would have thought I would have the best sushi I've ever had 30 minutes off the strip? I'm from a big city, Chicago, and I've had sushi in a lot of different places (Hawaii, Cali, Toronto, Vancouver, but I have to say this was the BEST I've ever had. I usually have nigiri instead of rolls so I ordered the nigiri and Sashimi plate. Each fish was super fresh, super flavorful and super tender. They literally melted in my mouth! I tried some of the rolls my wife ordered and they were spectacular as well. The combination of fish, sauces, garnishes and black rice made for very distinct flavors. The black rice is a bonus, as the texture and unique taste definitely enhances the seafood. One would expect to pay top $$$ for sushi this good, especially on the strip. But being in the suburbs, We felt is was a great value. The sushi plate was typically what I'd pay for in Chicago, $24. And the rolls were very reasonable between $8 and $12. This will surely be one of our go to places every time we visit my mother in law in Henderson. read more

What's a sushi place hiding behind a Dominoes Pizza for? You should be curbside for ALL to see!! Joey, our server was awesome! She took the time to explain black rice, their specialty, to our party. The food was mouth watering. The ambience was just right and the service was excellent!! This is definitely a must!! Bring your family, friends and visitors from out of state. This place was brilliant. The sushi options were extensive and absolutely tasted great. We especially loved the Alien. It is not your traditional sushi as it is cooked, but it was so tasty. They make extensive use of black rice for a lot of their dishes, which was just so amazing. Definitely going back on our next trip. read more

What a great sushi place!!! Everything we had was fresh and excellent tasting. Highly recommend salsa dancing, pastel, and pink lady rolls. Do yourself a favor and sit at the bar...the sushi chefs have a great personality and make it a fun experience...Ours was Jeff tonight and he was great! Ask him for a "Shooter, right now!" When you get there...It's another great experience! read more

Was traveling to LV and tried this sushi restaurant since it has very good reviews. And it was a good choice. The place is clean and nice. The server was very kind and I got my Sushi and Sashimi combo within reasonable wait time. I'm very sensitive to fish freshness so checked that first. It was really good. Actually it was one of the bests I've had from much more expensive sushi places. Overall, I was very satisfied and will visit again when I come to LV again. read more

My go to Sushi joint as well as many of my neighbors. Great price and atmosphere. Friendly staff. Try the Vegetable Rock'n'Roll and Vegetable Udon soup. They also have rolls made with black rice (the black rice lemon roll is a favorite) read more

This sushi place is clean and casual and the workers and owners are nice people. Hiroba is the only sushi place in town that uses black rice. I've never heard of black rice until I tried it at Hiroba Sushi and it's sweet and tasty! They offer noodle and rice plates for those people in your group that don't like sushi. It's a great compromise between me and my boyfriend. Menu prices are reasonable without sacrificing quality. Sashimi is always tastes fresh and they usually have unique fish specials, like toro (which you would probably only find in a fancy restaurant on Las Vegas Blvd). The 4-star rating is based mainly on the quality of the food and cleanliness of the restaurant. Waiter service is mediocre, but the sushi chefs are excellent if you sit at the bar. Again, this is a casual restaurant so don't expect it be some 5-star restaurant. This is my favorite sushi place in town and will definitely be back soon! read more

Great service and the fish was fresh. No all you can eat option, but the prices are VERY reasonable. The place is also very clean and the food presentation was on point. We had spicy girl roll, yellow tail, tako sashimi, oysters, salmon collar and the daily special which was fresh toro that melted in your mouth. Portions were great. Great chefs who did sake shots with us. This is going to be my new sushi place. Hopefully the prices remain as is if they don't offer all you can eat. I will be back a lot because it's just steps away from my neighborhood. read more

I came here based on the good reviews and I was excited to save money on sushi. After coming here I realized why it's cheaper. You definitely get what you pay for - old, rubbery smelly fish that is hard to digest. This is the Roberto's Taco Shop of sushi. Fresh sushi grade fish is not supposed to have an odor. Or be chewy. To top it all off, the sushi chef kept sneezing and didn't wash his hands afterwards. This is why I sit at the bar - to see what's going on. Never again. I learned my lesson to never trust low priced sushi. I wonder if all the good reviews on here are real. Too good to be true and the reviews not posted because they're not recommended all are great reviews. read more

Found this place about a year ago. Super fresh, tasty, beautifully displayed food, nice variety of rolls, etc. Service is very friendly, and food comes out pretty quickly. Tonight it's a full house, yet waited in average about five minutes for our orders. Since it's not an AYCE, everything is priced smartly so you can enjoy without going broke. Nice ambiance. We've become regulars here, and will continue to do so! read more

By far the best sushi spot in all of Las Vegas! The prices are spectacular, the ingredients are fresh, and the food is delicious. The Jackpot Roll and Jumping Lobster Roll are my favorites. Their customer service is a step above the rest, and they truly make you feel like family! I always recommend Hiroba to my friends and family, and everyone has loved it so far. Hiroba truly stands out, and I prefer it over places like I Love Sushi and Osaka. read more

We are the only restaurant in the Las Vegas area that makes sushi with black rice - providing multiple health benefits and additional flavor. Our business specializes in fresh nigiri and sashimi, rolls with less sauce so that our guests can taste the true flavor of fresh fish. Our concept here at Hiroba is to have good presentation, delicious dishes, and good service to accommodate our patrons. We take reservations for parties of 6 or more -- call 702-982-0021 for details.

History

Established in 2015.

Our grand opening was on Nov. 13, 2015. We have been providing Henderson's most creative sushi to the community ever since and recently added a set of Chef's Specials -- come check them out!

Meet the Manager: Yoji S.

A native of Long Beach, Chef Yoji Shimonishi began his culinary career while in high school, washing dishes and cooking in a small local Japanese restaurant. Intrigued by the art of Japanese cuisine, he pursued his passion to the sushi restaurant Todai in Huntington Beach for nine years, then moved on to a more gourmet level at Roy’s Restaurants, where he spent six years at locations in Newport Beach, Los Angeles, and Summerlin in Las Vegas, advancing to Executive Sushi Chef. He took a new opportunity as Banquet Chef for The Ritz Carlton for a year before returning to Las Vegas and Asian cuisine as Corporate Chef and Partner for Pacific Restaurant Group overseeing Zenshin Asian Restaurant in the South Point Hotel and Island Sushi & Grill in Las Vegas, NV for nine years. Chef Yoji accepted an opportunity to be part of the opening team at Nobu in Palo Alto, California but during the pandemic, chose to return to Las Vegas and is now thrilled to be with the Hiroba Sushi family.

The melon cream soda brought back my fond childhood memories from when I lived in Japan. All of our food choices were flavorful. Their miso soup with onions was the best choice for something light before diving into our curry meals. The curry was extremely flavorful with the right consistency, and the chicken katsu and pork loin katsu were equally as delicious. The pork loin katsu was a bit more flavorful, and although it's a different cut it definitely reminded me of pork belly. We left fulfilled and full. It's one of those restaurants that has become a tradition for our family, and every time we visit we're reminded why it's always packed. There has been a recent change in ownership, and they now offer an all-you-can-eat menu. I'll admit I was hesitant at first because sometimes AYCE sushi can mean sacrificing quality. Thankfully that is not the case here at all. The quality is just as good as it's always been. We started with the garlic edamame, which is always a great way to kick things off. From there we ordered steamed gyoza, yellowtail, yuzu salmon sushi, and then took advantage of one of the best parts of the all-you-can-eat menu... you can order half rolls. This makes it so easy to try a variety of different rolls without committing to full ones. That said, the one roll I will never order as a half is the Flower Roll. It's been my favorite here for years and is an absolute must every time we visit. Our waitress also recommended trying the Irish Roll, which was new to us and ended up being excellent. We'll definitely be ordering that again. We also tried a half Candy Cane Roll, which was another great option. One of the reasons we keep coming back, beyond the food, is the service. Because we've been coming here for so long, the staff recognizes us and they are always incredibly kind and welcoming. It really adds to the experience. This restaurant is almost always packed, and there's a very good reason for that. The food is consistently great and the atmosphere is lively and welcoming. A couple other menu items worth mentioning: The Joe Special is fantastic (even though we didn't order it this visit), and my daughter always loves the Niku Udon noodles. After 15+ years, I Love Sushi is still a five-star experience for us, and it's a place we always look forward to visiting with family and friends.

I've also never had any issues with cross contamination, which gives me a lot of confidence dining here. My husband is a sushi regular and absolutely loves Kaizen as well. Our three kids (all 6 and under) always have a great experience too -- they love the coloring pages, the kid-friendly menu options, and the special treat they get on the way out!! It's become one of our family's favorite spots.

Huge thanks to Sunny for the recommendation! Their GM Greg treated us like family, making the experience even better. And did I mention they're the *only* sushi restaurant in town serving black rice? This isn't just a gimmick, black rice is a nutritional powerhouse, boasting a high antioxidant content, plenty of fiber, and essential nutrients. It's rich in anthocyanins, which are known to fight inflammation and protect your body. We started with the Hiroba Poke #1, a vibrant and flavorful bowl. The Shishito Peppers and Serrano Pepper Wings (ONLY $7!) were surprisingly addictive. But our fav was the sushi. The Truffle Salmon Nigiri and Truffle Bluefin Carpaccio were AMAZING and the Short Rib Black Fried Rice was a savory, umami packed delight. As for rolls, the Valley of Fire lived up to its name with a spicy kick, the Aces Champion Roll was a crowd pleaser, and the Island Breeze brought a taste of the tropics. Don't forget the Guava Cake for dessert,a sweet and tangy way to end the meal. And if you're looking for a deal, their happy hour (2-5 PM) is a steal, with 1/2 off beer, sake, and select food items. We've enjoyed wonderful, incredibly fresh food at this restaurant for quite some time now. Everyone treats you with kindness and consideration, and definitely get the feeling that they care, a lot. We have an array of different kinds of rolls, sushi, sashimi, etc. that we order and every single time it is the freshest and high-quality food. Found out they get their fish fresh daily. The items with the "black rice" are amazing, and we've enjoyed many of them. Oftentimes my daughter and I order the Sashimi Salad. It has the freshest tasting fish, the freshest salad greens, with the most delightful white, kind of sweet salad dressing. I heard someone say they sell it. The Hamachi kama is outstanding. Truth be told, I've seen a tremendous number of people there on a regular basis. On a few levels. 1. the food, amazing and super reasonable in price 2. the customer service - i went with a group of friends and when we got there one of them mentioned she was deathly allergic to shellfish. come to find out. they had 1 sushi chef basically assigned to our table to ensure there was cross contamination of food. AMAZING. never once did they roll their eyes or give any kind of attitude. they made suggestions about rolls and items that would be ok for her. I was blown away... too often these days you get attitude from a server when you request a special order of some kind. 3. service - really quick. I truly appreciate they are not assigned tables. they work as a crew and everyone takes care of every table. they have it down with what they have going on! My buddy and I went here about 5 min ago, and we sat down, the server was great. We got our pellagrinos in near seconds. This gentleman was super nice and efficient! An older lady with glasses came up to us and asked to take our order. Once she walked away, our server came up and asked if we wanted to order, and I told him the other lady took our order. As we're talking I'm asking my buddy why the food was taking so long... A new server asked me if I would like to order, after 30 minutes of waiting for our food... we said that we ordered, and they confirmed there was nothing there... Unfortunately, I love this place and take all of my clients there, but now I won't be returning with any of them. Not only did we leave the restaurant after 45 min of wasting our time, they charged us for 2 pellagrinos when we only had one.... Can someone please wake up at this place! read more

It is super affordable too! They don't have Happy hour, but the prices at Hiroba is like all day Happy hour! My favorite rolls are O my roll, Green Monster, Geisha roll, purple dream, rock n roll, vegetable rock n roll n the list goes on lol They also have black rice option with any nigiris or rolls. Healthier option! And the cooked food wise, I love the Dynamite shrimp, salmon/yellowtail coller, corn cheese! Even though you're not a big sushi person, there are lots of options. I am this place's number one fan! Best sushi i have ever had. Ever since this place opened up a couple years ago, all the other sushi places in Vegas i would go to do not even compare to Hiroba. The customer service is AMAZING. The owners always come check up on my family and I and the servers are so sweet to us. Even the chefs make sure to always greet you and say bye to you. you can get rolls for as cheap as 3 dollars and they're QUALITY-filled. My favorite is their spicy garlic edamame, tuna poke appetizer salad, spicy salmon roll, and i love to try something new from their fancier rolls each time i go and they never disappoint.
