For Takeout Tuesday, our hunkered-down household had Holdaak! We usually tie in a visit to the Fullerton location while visiting family in the area. Being as things are now, we're trying to practice social distancing. I was happy to discover that the Orange location delivers to Santa Ana. It was super easy to order on Uber Eats. I was able to customize one out of three sandwiches...and they got it right! I'm always fearful of a delivery not done being right since I can't walk up to the counter and have it fixed. It makes ordering super easy, and what they have on it--they do really well! My fave is the spicy version, which isn't that hot, but still has a good enough kick so that you're not wiping your brow in between bites. We paired ours with a side of fries and made sure to get an extra helping of their "Comeback Sauce" to dip them in. The sandwich was not only hearty, but delicious too. The bun was nice and fluffy and they give you a substantial piece of perfectly fried chicken topped with slaw to gorge on. You definitely get your money's worth as it will only set you back about $9 after adding in your choice of side. Even if you don't have to go, I recommend taking a trip to the bathroom. I like the regular wings here, no sauce. It's fresh and warm and juicy, not dry at all. I will come back just for the wings. The popcorn chicken is much too dry and the coleslaw on the side is in a cheap plastic tiny container. The coleslaw is not worth it. This place is pricey, so just get the wings! read more

I've long been a fan of fried chicken and chicken sandwiches so when I found this gem on yelp I was very excited to give it a try. I tried the regular chicken sandwich for my first visit with Korean slaw, French fries and a side of their sweet and spicy sauce. The chicken was literally cooked to perfection! It was fried perfectly and the breading was excellent. I believe the topping on the cake as they say, was the slaw and the sauce. I've always been a huge fan of Korean food as well and love the sauces most Korean restaurants serve and this one absolutely did not disappoint. The bun they use is also fresh tasting and had good flavor. The fries were cooked good as well and was nice to have served on the side but the chicken was the star of this meal. I didn't think the ketchup in this sandwich was needed since the slaw was sweet. I don't think I would order this sandwich again. However the chicken was delicious! This is 10x better than anything you'll find at a fast food place. The quality is undeniable. The bun is nicely toasted and holds the massive contents well. The chicken is perfectly fried, although it used to be even better when they used a single giant chicken breast. Now they use chicken tenders. The chicken is actually pre-fried and fried again to order so it's perfectly crispy every time. The Korean slaw gives it a unique touch. There is regular version and a more flavorful spicy version for $1 more. The spice level is very mild. All they do is shake some red spice powder on the chicken. Not sure if that powder is worth $1 but the spicy version is definitely better than the regular. The fries are well seasoned and complement the sandwich well. Their coleslaw sucks though. Popped in here during the soft opening phase, and the food was good. I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was tasty. It was constructed of two larger chicken tenders, breaded and fried, with a flavorful sauce and a good bun. The two tenders made for a slightly awkward sandwich over a single larger single piece of chicken, but you can get through it. I think that they are using processed chicken in the sandwich, at least that is the way it seemed to me. The texture when you bite into it is kind of like fake crab, built up in layers as opposed to a single chunk of protein that breaks irregularly. Best spicy chicken sandwich I've ever had (and I don't say that lightly). Super crispy on the outside, jucy and tender on the inside. Definitely spicy (spice intensity is high but not so high that it takes away from the other flavor components of the burger). It's a bit on the expensive side, and the major drawback is the poor customer service. They don't clearly communicate what they can or cannot do. Disappointed with staff competency and customer service at the Tustin, Orange location!!! We have been a regular customer here for years but will not be returning. Had a busy day today and placed an online order 45 minutes in advance for 6:10pm pickup. All looked good with text and email confirmation. When we arrived there at 6:10pm (in the midst of rush hour and crazy rain), we were told they never got the order. Had to provide them proof with our PAID order confirmation email/text. The girl at the register didn't offer any apologies and told us it would be a 40 minute wait for them to get our order ready. The worse part of this whole experience was the girl and another gentleman (probably the manager) couldn't care less about their customers! They didn't take responsibility for their system failure and had to be asked to void our credit card payment for the order. Of course...they couldn't void it and said that we have to wait 2-3 days for the credit card refund. Do people understand the inconvenience they cause when they can't run their business?! Why offer a service you can't fulfill?! Get it together! We understand things happen... but how these people deal with the situation and treat their customers is very poor! They can gain popularity with their food but will sure to lose customers with their attitude and low grade service! Oh...I forgot to mention that the place was a ghost town this evening. Years ago when they first opened the one in Buena Park I wasn't the biggest fan but I don't know what they changed that made it so much better. Me and my fiancé were in the area and so we were trying to figure out something to eat. Im on a hot strips mission lately (we have tried Hotties and Baba's). So, i saw this place on yelp. I ordered the 5 piece combo Spicy for myself and 5 piece combo Original for my man and 2 drinks. The chicken strips are a pretty decent size. I was only able to eat 2.5 strips and half my fries. My fiancé was able to eat 4 strips and all his fries. The strips hold their heat! Every bite was hot (temperature wise). The fries were crispy and held their heat as well. I burned my tongue about 4 times on the food but i didn't care. The spicy strips were a bit spicy (i have a high spicy tolerance). My lips did tingle the more i ate. And my nose was running slightly, but it wasn't so hot that i was sweating or breathing fire like a dragon or needing a drink to cool down my mouth/throat. It was a very good tolerable spice. but the flavor is what got me!!! Usually when foods are spicy they lack flavor. These strips had a VERY good flavor!!! The strips were extremely juicy! Also the fries have a slight seasoning on them and its very good.... well to me and my fiancé. Some couple with their kids who ordered before us came back in to complain about the fries and that they were "too spicy" and needed water cups. They had the staff make them new NON SPICY food. My man has a very low tolerance for heat since he got his gallbladder removed. But he loved the fries and didn't see how they were "too spicy". We just looked at each other when the man was complaining about them. I had a feeling either that family wanted free food, or they are the type of people that think pepper is spicy. Either way they were annoying. We enjoyed the fries very much! The only reason i gave 4/5 stars is because i really love pickles with strips like these. But they do not offer that. When it first opened up, oh man it was amazing because they had popcorn chicken that came with fries for like $5. It's ok though because you come for the chicken sandwich.
