You can also tell by how they reply to people's reviews how unprofessional they are. Firstly when I spoke to Michelle or Natalie on the phone she said a free inspection and all of a sudden after Geno left, I called them for the full estimate and she said $845, but the inspection from earlier is $225 and would go towards the estimated $845 repair, That's where I was very confused. Geno all he did in the max 10-15 minutes he was even here, all he did was look at the top of my grandmas fridge, added refridgerant (without my consent) , unplugged our fridge, told us to defrost it with the doors open. Didn't even ask me in advance if I wanted to continue and said "I just jumped into it" as in didn't review anything. I get that our fridge needs work on but other companies are saying everything was done wrong. They said "To leave the fridge on and to diagnose it, there was no need to remove all the food and unplug it", Also 5 other companies said this is not a good company and to charge $225 is a lot compared to $150. Everything seemed every rushed and as if he needed to get to where ever to help out another technician with the phone calls he was getting while at my house. Geno left, he was on a phone 2 phone calls and it seemed like he was needed to go, he said he will be back tomorrow to figure it out, SO how are you quoting me $845 without diagnosing? This is crazy. Someone came in and told me I need new parts. they ordered the new parts and charged me half of the cost ($932.50) in advance in May 1, 2026. After waiting for a month, I called for an update. This was the worst service experience I've ever had. Someone came to "fix" my washer, but after the visit, the washer was still retaining water and not draining properly -- lthe exact same issue I called about. I contacted the company again to schedule a follow-up, but they refused to send anyone once I declined their so-called "rebate." The rebate itself felt like a total scam: they claimed they couldn't issue refunds back to my card or provide cash, and instead insisted on sending money through Cash App or Zelle but only if I joined a FaceTime call so they could "help me out." I should have read the reviews before paying them to come over to diagnose a tenants microwave. A tenant of mine had a microwave problem as well as a dryer problem so the technician came and gave an estimate as you can clearly see with the breakdown of everything that needs addressing. When I contacted the company to go ahead and do the work they claimed that the estimate was for the microwave only and that the dryer was an additional $650 (not written in the estimate). To put this into perspective, $615 to repair a microwave that costs $300 brand new and $650 to repair a dryer that costs $500 brand new is going to be a hard pass for me. Ultimately GE replaced my fridge, but this shop charged me another $275. I spoke with Andrea on the phone and she said that it would be refunded. It wasn't. I called and left messages. Ghosted. I ultimately had to contest the charge with my credit card company where they investigated and determined that the charge was not legitimate. Be warned, not a local company. I called the number once and they answered, "Oregon Appliance....err...Honolulu appliance...". The tech said there is no Hawaii Office. I called to have my Wolf Stove Top and Decor Oven looked at because it was not working properly. Elijah came out and said that I need a new board for my stove top and estimated $1100.00. For the initial visit I was charged $335.00 on 11/22/26. Elijah came back on 12/1/25 to fix the stove and oven. I did not receive a bill which I asked for. I was charged $922.50. I called to tell them that both my stove top and oven which was supposedly repair still was not working and had the same problem. I was charged $922.50 again for the completion of the work. I called many times just to get no answers to if they were coming to fix it. I asked to be reimbursed since my appliances were still not fixed.. No one has returned any of my calls. After we paid ~$850, it broke again in less than three weeks. Then they couldn't figure out what parts should be ordered. When after more than a month, the parts finally came. They turned out to be the wrong ones. And they had to re-order them. We got very frustrated. There was no thanksgiving meal in our household this year because there was no functioning refrigerator. They still couldn't tell us if the right parts will come by early December (this month). Not wanting to have our Christmas ruined (we have family coming from the mainland), we bought a new refrigerator. What a horrible company. What a nightmarish experience!! They had horrible communication between costumers, dispatchers and technicians. They didn't show up for several scheduled visits, had very broad time windows for those visits and inexplicably canceled part orders and when they did show up sent unqualified and overpriced technicians. If you want our experience, read below. Our washer needed repair, the first service individual "repaired" the problem, only to have the washer continue to leak. Weeks later a new repair individual informed us the other repair man had been let go from the company and had not serviced our washer properly. The replacement parts were ordered, and we were informed we would be contacted when parts arrived. Three weeks pass, we call them about the parts. Parts order had been canceled, not by us, so they needed to reordered them. Three weeks later we have a day for service scheduled. From 11-3 my wife waits, no call, technician cancels, so we reschedule. This time I wait 11-3, calling hourly and I am told the technician is on the way. 4:30 comes and still no technician. Notice, we had both taken off work to be available. So we reschedule for the third time. Two technicians come this time to replace parts, run machine, and everything seems to be ok. The following day while doing a load of laundry, the machine begins to leak again. At this point we have cut our loses and have found another company. read more

When I scheduled the appointment I gave the make and model so they could get the part to fix it. It is a very common ice maker and is used on several different brands. The repair person showed up - not to repair but to "diagnose" the problem. He told me my ice maker is not working. For that I paid $175. I contacted this company to repair my ice maker and was repeatedly told that there was no record of my order--despite having already placed it. Each time I called to follow up, they claimed no order was on file, and I had to start the process all over again. To make matters worse, during my last call, they hung up on me. The phone number changes daily and they do not have a physical office in Honolulu. They are California based and you call into a call center. It takes days to get anyone from accounting to call you back and most times they do not. They give you a time to call them and then that person "has stepped out of the office". Zero communication from the techs doing work and the person paying. Took over 7 months to repair a dishwasher and I had to ask multiple times for an invoice. If I could do no stars, I would. This business is a scam. We had the technicians coming on 03/06/25 and they spent less than 15 minutes to tell us the washer is broken and needs to be replaced, and the fridge compressor is broken and they'll order the parts. Nothing was done since then. Two weeks later, the technician contacted us separately and told us they would come by but never showed up. We then called their office number and the dispatch cannot provide any updates regarding parts. Instead, she told us she'll relay the information to her supervisor and have the supervisor call us back. Another two months passed by, there's no call back. We called four times and finally the dispatch picked up the phone and put us on hold right away without asking for any information from us first. Then, same answers were given as the last time. We also tried to call the technician who helped us, he sent us straight to voicemail. There's also a clause in the work order invoice that states if you decides to not go through with their services, you still need to pay for a 20% restocking fee. For a part that they'll probably never order for you. This business needs to be reported to DCCA and shut down. read more

The only bright spot in my experience with HARP was Elijah, the technician who replaced my washer drive motor. He was efficient and personable. After the initial inspection to determine the problem and a short wait for parts delivery, I was given an afternoon appointment between 1pm and 5pm for the actual repair. I called HARP at 5pm to report the tech hadn't arrived and was told I was still on the schedule and that the tech would arrive after completing prior appointments. I called again at 7pm because the tech still hadn't shown up, but HARP didn't answer. (Elijah subsequently said he had notified the office around 3pm that he was running very late and would not be able to complete his appointments and that someone from the office should have notified me.) I talked to Mike, HARP's scheduler, the next day to express my anger at the previous day's no-call/no-show He said the tech would be here in the afternoon after his other appointments. He also acknowledged the previous day's missed appointment, but said he had no authority to offer a discount, although he said he would report the matter to someone with that authority. I had requested an itemized invoice from someone in HARP's office, but I have not received one. Elijah mentioned that the parts had cost $100 less than expected. HARP charged me the full amount of the original estimate. To be fair, I did sign the estimate, but it appears no one in HARP's office is looking out for their customers. All of HARP's Yelp reviews for the past year or so have been extremely negative, and any replies posted by Geno K. have attempted to place the blame or onus for a resolution on the customer. If your repair goes without a hitch, consider yourself fortunate. If you encounter a problem with the repair itself or with the price HARP charges -- good luck! read more

The automatic downdraft on my Viking range wouldn't go up and down. HARP sent out a technician who wasn't able to get the gas cooktop off to look at the downdraft. Two of us tried to help him to no avail. I said, can't you take the drawers off the kitchen island to see it? I took one off for him. He peered in and proclaimed we needed a bunch of parts to fix it then left. After MANY calls to the company and a lot of run around, they claimed they were looking for the parts and would let me know the cost. Ten days later and fed up, I called another company who came promptly, removed the drawers, realized the motor was simply stuck, greased it and fixed it within five minutes. Appalled. First time in 30 years that I have a complaint about appliance service.I found this company on yelp- If I'm not mistaken, they came up first when looking for Bosch dishwasher service. All I needed was a spring... or whatever, that would restrain the door from crashing down. They came on time. I had to leave before they finished (my bad), so my son stayed to pay. When I returned- 1. The door still comes crashing down, although slightly slower. 2. The indicator light that shines on the floor no longer works. 3. The door now squeaks and lunges when opening all the way. 4. The dishwasher is no longer plumb in the cabinet opening. 5. The dishwasher now tips forward when the door is open and the appliance is empty. I called to complain. Very nice lady called back quickly and asked for photos. I sent a photo and a video clip so they could see and hear the door groaning when opening. After that no response. All this cost me $250.00. After this, am planning to just buy a new dishwasher.
