VERY hot sauces.
Terry H.

I had the carne asada burrito and my daughter had the fajita tacos. Both were AMAZING. The agua Fresca was also very good. The worst thing was the rat that came through from a hole in the wall from the tire shop. Don't let this sway you. The ladies kept the restaurant very clean.

I absolutely loved this hole in the wall diner for Authentic street tacos. It helps if you speak Spanish here but it's not a necessity. I got 3 tacos.. pollo, barbacoa and al pastor. They were fresh and arrived with onions, cilantro, some radish, and 2 corn tacos each. Also we got a bowl of soup before our meal. This is a very smalldiner and in norhing fancy whatsoever. But we loved the flavors and felt safe despite the burglar bars

Enchiladas verdes with quesadillas and burrito in the background

Omg, *everything* was delicious. Authentic, top tier and affordable. We got Chicken Fajita Quesadilla, Enchiladas Verde with Chicken, and Burrito Al Pastor. Total hole in the wall but among the best Mexican I have eaten. The servers were also very kind and brought us free hot soup as we sat down. Go here! You will not regret it.

The service is always great but I am so confused on why I ordered a breakfast sausage burrito...and instead got a hot dog burrito. This is Terrible!!!

Amazing! Authentic Mexican food. Always fresh. I come here at least once a week and order the Bistec a la Mexicana (pictured here) with delicious flour tortillas. The lemonade is homemade and SO refreshing! I always receive exceptional service, fast food and the workers are very friendly, always smiling. Love this place and will continue to return!

Food/Taste: 5.0 Customer Service: 4.2 Location: 5.0 Pricing: 5.0 Cleanness: 5.0 WiFi: n/a All Food is authentic, homemade, and fresh. The red chilaquiles had a mild spice while the green chilaquiles were spicy. The Breakfast taco of egg and chorizo taste really good. Customer service was slow despite not being packed. Waitress could be a bit more extroverted to make the place a bit more warmly. The location is good. Don't let the outside fool you. From the outside, the place looks sketchy but the inside is extremely clean. The place is a bit small.

Al pastor taco plate

My husband and I recently moved to this area and decided to try this place. The food was fantastic. I had 3 Al Pastor taco plate. My husband had Lengua, Nopales, Al Pastor, and Carne Asada tacos. My mother in law had salsa verde chicken enchiladas. We all enjoyed our food! We enjoyed some Mexican coke and Jarritos to drink as well. Everyone here spoke Spanish except us, but the wait staff spoke English and did not mind speaking in English to us. We will be bavk

Black coffee is good for the soul

I think this place is underrated. It's a small tiny restaurant/hole in the wall. Only 5 tables inside and two outside. Not good for groups or kids who run around. Only one unisex bathroom for everyone to use. The staff was extremely friendly. A homeless man came in and they gave him free coffee because he couldn't pay. It's a cold day under 40 degrees in Dallas so this was heartwarming to see. I got 4 $2 barbacoa tacos, and black coffee, the green salsa was amazing and the red one was real spicy. But delicious. The black coffee was good, I think it must be a Mexican brand because it doesn't taste like regular Folgers stuff. Reminds me of the hot cocoa drink Mexicans drink -"Chocolate de Abuelita".... All in all, I like this place. Cheap. Reasonable. And st the end of the day you're bringing business to a hard working couple trying to run a little restaurant under 10 tables.

Chipotle bowl

The cook made me his version of the chipotle burTito bowl and it was way better than chipotle.

With everyone is watching carbs, touting the newest dietary buzzwords of the day, it's nice to know…read morethere's a place that we all remember growing with and doesn't apologize for it. Over the years, They have added grilled items that are quite tasty, but Ima go for the fried anything along with mashies, baked beans, etc. The chicken and dumplings are heaven on earth anytime of the year. Prices are decent, considering the economy these days. If you dine in, there's staff that are happy to help you get your grub to the table, will make sure you have butter and honey for the fluffy buns, and smile no matter how busy it gets. Leaving a buck or 2 is not expected, but a nice gesture for their efforts. Blanca sez check'em out!

Thought I would try the Chicken Livers today. I haven't had them since I was a teenager... and…read moreno... not doing the math on that one! Walked in, joined the line and placed my order. Noticed ladies working in the dining room to assure tables are clean as soon as customers leave. Once your meal is ready, they will call your name or someone will bring it to your table. Retro decor. Loved the music. Located across from SMU. You have the college crowd, residents from the neighborhood, grandparents with their grandchildren, and drive thru all buzzing with conversation. I found the chicken livers lightly battered, crispy on the outside and very tender meat on the inside. Mashed potatoes, gravy, and green beans were my sides. All tasty. Add additional seasonings and pepper sauce if you prefer. Be sure to check out the banana pudding. I requested extra meringue. Dessert was made fresh and tasted great. Pick-up, drive through, or dine in. Side note: Although there is no place for a tip when paying for your order... I always leave a tip on the table or hand it to the ladies working there. Much deserved for their hard work, friendly smiles, and pleasant attitude.

This spot had been on our must-try list for a while. We've driven through the area before but never…read morestopped--until now. We went on a Saturday for brunch. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy, but it still took about 5-10 minutes before we were seated. We ordered coffee, a Western Omelette with cheese, a Spanish Omelette, and pancakes with orange juice for the kids. The coffee was excellent, the omelettes were decent, and the kids' pancakes were delicious. The biscuits and toast on the side were also really good. Unfortunately, the hash browns, sausage, and bacon were disappointing. If you enjoy a 1950s-style diner vibe with friendly, welcoming staff, this place nails the atmosphere. The food, however, was a bit of a mixed bag.

This used to be a Norma's cafe! That explains all the wonderful pies you see when entering…read more Super fresh and beautiful pies! Love this! We bought a coconut cream pie to eat at home. We had the most wonderful waitress, Nancy. She was attentive and spot on with making sure our needs were met. (Mostly with ketchup). They don't have bottles of ketchup because somebody's, rotten, unsupervised kid filled a ketchup bottle with crayons. UGH. Could have been a lawsuit for this diner. You now have to deal with tiny cups of ketchup for dipping. How sad. Our waitress brought us sauce, Tabasco and Louisiana sauce. Personally, we're a Cholula sauce type of family. Hopefully, they will add this choice to the menu for a table offering. Everything, we ordered to eat was delicious! Hubby had the pork chops which I thought were chicken fried steak. The coating was crisp and perfect for the 2 pork chops. He loved them! Plus the mashed potatoes were 100% real potatoes! The white gravy was great. You can also choose to have brown gravy if you like. One of our kids had catfish. Our fault for not ordering it to be crispy. No biggy, the portions are gracious. Comes with cornbread. I had the burger. You'd think at a diner it would be greasy and gross. However, far from it! The bacon was crisp and the condiments on top the burger were fresh! This place is nothing fancy. Lots of nostalgia. The food is like eating at home. They do offer a senior citizen discount! I'm sure they also offer a military discount, however I did not ask. For being a "hole in the wall" restaurant, off the beaten path, I recommend this place! My family loves these kind of restaurants. No flare, and the food is always so darn good. The wait staff is impressive! The food is satisfying and the nostalgia makes this place worth a visit. March 2025

The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive--they really go out of their way to make sure you're taken care of. The food is the real star here. Everything tastes fresh, homemade, and full of flavor. The portions are HUGE, so you definitely get your money's worth. Their chicken fried steak is perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the gravy is rich and delicious. Don't even get me started on the pies--they're out of this world! Service was fast, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the whole experience just felt genuine and comforting.
