Decent coffee in a nice setting. They are located in a brand new office park. There's free 15 minutes parking. The shop is in a repurposed shipping container in a courtyard with tables and umbrellas. The guy working there was cheerful but he was alone, so the service was a little slow.

Ordered a latte. Coffee is not too acidic for me and I enjoyed it greatly. This coffee shop is located inside the courtyard of the plaza. $2 parking for the first 15mins. Got my coffee under 15mins One of the gate kiosk wasn't working on my way out, called the attendant who instructed me to use a different exit.

Great staff. Great coffee. I come out of my way to get their coffee weekly. However, when this happens (it's the 3rd time) it truly is a huge disappointment. They open at 8:30a. I arrived at 9a. No one will be back til 10:30a. I know the location is slow but there has to be a way to inform regulars when this type of absence will happen. Sad Friday morning.

As someone who lives in the neighborhood, its so nice to finally have another coffee place to go to thats near!! They are currently doing a soft opening so they're only open M-F because they ARE inside that new office complex lot! The iced latte comes with diff syrups if you like that stuff! And its a solid iced coffee, PLUS they have free add on "wellness shots" with the coffees! They have chairs and tables too plus the complex has some benches scattered around and there's NOBODY there when we went at 9am on a Wednesday! I'm in love with their lavender latte tbh and will definitely keep coming back!!

NOBODY HERE! 1:30p. Came back at 2p. Came back at 2:26p The business that isn't.

Humblemaker SEAL BEACH is indeed a 5 STAR COFFEE CO!! There is no other coffee shop like this in Los Angeles "CRAFTED WELLNESS" is why I come! The Smoking Gun is my favorite -made with maple syrup--it's why I drive from Pasadena to Seal Beach on the weekends. Then they opened this one in Del Rey -perhaps too soon - I was compelled to write this review and knock a Star Off because this is the 4th time they are CLOSED WITHIN THE POSTED OPEN TIME! But what made this visit so much more painful is: The Barista (who was unbeknownst to me) walked right by me!! What's worse is I stopped him to inquire about all the empty buildings. I get to the "Humblemaker Container Shop and it's closed up 17 MINUTES before the posted 3:30p and all the peeps enjoying coffee in the courtyard tell me "oh you just missed him -I mean JUST missed him by like seconds! You likely passed him" I said 5'11 Latino dude in all black?" They replied in unison "YEP!" ....why I oughta!!! I That was JACKED UP! One reason is because they are the ONLY BUSINESS HERE! He HAD to know we were coming for Coffee. #thatsdirty I will forgive you though. But hoping HumbleMakers either changes the hours or keeps the place staffed. UPDATE: came back today at 1:30p -CRICKETS! "YOU GOTTA BE KIDDIN' ME! THIS CANNOT BE REAL!" Window shield is up BUT the Barista is GONE! Hmm probably taking a nap in his car. Shrug. I decided to STAY to see who would come and close this place up. (The court yard is very Zen -like! At 2:37p a figure appears. At 2:55 I left with my $35 order. Ridiculous!! If they get a lunch break communicate that the Stand is closed between 12-1p SOMEWHERE! Then we will never come at that time. (3 other customers came and went during this period!) If the barista goes to the bathroom don't put up a "Back in 20 minutes" sign because that can turn into 40! But "Back at 10:15" "Back at 2:30p" Simply communicate, to those coming to spend $7.65 on an item with a $0.26 food cost. Then we can determine how long we actually have to wait, and if it's worth it. This is a gggggreeeat way to kill your reputation early when you are in a Wonky location AND you have to wait a whole year for the buildings around you to be fully occupied if they ever get there. This is an easy fix! 1. pay someone $80-$120 per day to make coffee [Heck! My order covered over 25% of that] 2. Adjust your hours to coincide with when you will actually BE OPEN. Bonus tip: 3. If you make Zero Changes than Offer a complimentary signature drink to everyone that is negatively affected by your business not being open, who posts a review with a time stamped photo. Those who took long drives to PAY homage to your business. (I came from South Pasadena for a Smoking Gun & Lavender Honey Signature drink that ... get this... When I ordered it, he says "Sorry, We are Out of OAT MILK!" What? 60% of your signature drink menu is Oat Milk Wowza) Ok... "I'll take an Almond Joy"... "Sorry, I can't make that one, we are out of the-Chocolate needed for that!" Bruh... SURPRISE ME!! I got the Lavish Honey with SOY! (Eh! it's Creamier with OAT MILK!) Do Better Fam! I LOVE HumbleMakers and I am committed to our relationship! First times a fluke, second times a trend, 3rd times a PATTERN...so I called Mgmt because openness brings perspective. And now that we've communicated I will be back to cash in on the improvements that I pray come about from our cordial conversation. And I'd like 4 complimentary coffee drinks for each time I came and left empty handed, hurt and disappointed. LOL.

The breakfast sandwich is a religion. Good, unusually good. I mean it is just a sandwich but it hits the spot. The coffee is also good.

Cute little coffee shop in a corporate plaza. The coffee was delicious, and service was quick. Would stop by again if I'm in the area!

I love that it is hidden coffee spot. Good drip coffee. Hope more folks from the office park show up to support it.

I thought it was a full sit-down restaurant, but it's more like a cafe you can walk up and order from, and either sit at their bar area or outside at any of the tables. Regardless, service was pleasant enough. I got a chicken Caesar wrap and a Sakura matcha, and both were delicious. I loved the floral flavor of the Sakura matcha, and the wrap was fresh and flavorful. This is a great spot to grab a quick bite and coffee from, and I would totally come back if I'm in the area.

As I was working through my message, I had the idea to include a visual illustration--a charcuterie setup to represent the abundant life Jesus offers. Right away, I thought of Alex and Olivia at Joliet Cafe. I've enjoyed Joliet Cafe for years-- whether I've come by in the day to get delicious coffee, or enjoyed the restaurant on a romantic night out with the wife - the food is always outstanding. Alex is truly a masterful chef! So just a couple of weeks before Easter, I reached out with this idea. Not only was he open to it, but he took the time to understand the vision and bring it to life. On the day of, Alex arrived early and prepared a beautiful, abundant "feast" that fit the message perfectly. It didn't just look incredible--it tasted amazing. After the service, we placed the charcuterie next to our lunch table, and it was gone quickly! So many people commented on how delicious and well-presented everything was. I share all this to say: Alex's professionalism, creativity, skill, and flexibility make him an incredible choice for charcuterie boards, catering, or any culinary service. He truly delivers--and you will not be disappointed. Thank you again for helping make Easter such a meaningful and special day!

Therefore, I have to come and take advantage right? Well, I was able to order both tacos keto style (Dallas Fort Worth variety) and have their contents put in these cute cups. Needless to say they were delicious as was the fresh coffee. The CSA (CUSTOMER SERVICE ALL STAR) of this experience was none other than Erik-pictured. What a super nice guy! Erik was super humble, and yet calm cool and collective-while managing the usual door traffic. I guess where I'm going with this is I certainly couldn't do it! Thanks Erik, your a credit to the Home State brand.

This isn't your…read moretraditional taco stand - it's definitely a more modern, hipster take on Texas-style breakfast tacos. But they execute it pretty well. One of my favorite morning routines is grabbing a coffee from Blue Bottle next door, then settling in at HomeState with my two favorite breakfast tacos: the Guadalupe and Don't Mess with Texas. Guadalupe - 4/5. I always order this on a corn tortilla. It comes with eggs, chorizo, and cheese, and the ingredients are decent. The portion is generous, with plenty of fluffy eggs that are cooked just right - not overdone or runny. The cheese melts nicely into the eggs, creating a good texture. The chorizo is decent, though it's the weakest component of an otherwise excellent taco. Also, I realized that the portion of chorizo has shrunk over the years. Don't Mess with Texas - 4/5. I'm generally not a fan of refried pinto beans, but this taco completely won me over. The combination of beans, bacon, potatoes, and cheese works surprisingly well, especially with the salsa verde. The flavors come together beautifully, making this one of the more satisfying breakfast tacos on the menu. I've tried a few of their other breakfast tacos, and they're all good. Still, I always find myself coming back to these two. HomeState offers two house salsas roja and verde, both with a brighter, more acidic profile than what you'd typically find at a taco shop. Usually that would be a bit problematic for regular tacos, but that acidity pairs well with the rich breakfast tacos. My only complaint is that I wish they packed more heat. Hot sauces are available, but I'd rather the house salsas bring the spice on their own. Even so, they're flavorful and complement the tacos well. Overall, I like my Blue Bottle coffee + 2 breakfast tacos combination, and will continue eating here.
