My first time going to a Korean Bbq place. My friends had been trying to get me to go for a while now and tonight they came by and dragged me outta the house. Ha ha. I've been wanting to try , but so busy. Anyway , we got there and my friends were like you usually have to wait , but we were seated right away and it was over half full. It was clean and well lit even though the decor seemed a little dark , but that is okay with me. We tried several different meats. I wish I would have taken a picture of the receipt showing all that we had. I would have to say I liked the Spicy Pork Bulgogi and Beef Bulgogi the best and the Cajun Chicken was okay also. Garlic Jalapeno Pork Belly was really just bacon with a green jalapeno paste. I put a piece of it with the Cajun Chicken and that made a good combination. The bottle of sauce they give you goes good on the white rice. You also get a bunch of little plates of like different radishes and kimchi and some spicy pickle slices. We also got the little ice cream cups with the little spoons like we had in school when we were kids. The service was good and we were full when we left. I'm sure a lot of people enjoy the experience and food. It's a good experience to have with friends and family. I didn't take any pictures or video this time. I started the night at hwaro 1. I took a 30min uber for this place . 12:20am I walk into establishment and the host says " I'm not seating anyone for the rest of the night " when last call is posted at 1AM . I did previously call them at 11:10pm to ask what's their wait time and she didn't mention anything about last seating . Then She recommends "hwaro 2" . 5 min away . We get seating music is VERY LOUD and for my drink we get a lemonade and it is a bottled 0 calorie lemonade. Then we order food everything is DRY and bland . Corn cheese was JUST cheese and 4 small pieces of corn . Runner/busser kept changing out grill with food on it and sliding hot meat into cold pan . And our server rarely checked on us . We had the worst experience ever at this location today from the service to the food. The waiter we had was rude and would literally look the other direction when my friend would look his way. The table we were placed at had a messed up grill that was just warming up the meat. It took like 20 minutes to get the brisket cooked which is extremely this and should cook in seconds. When we finally got the attention of a different waitress she checked the grill and saw it wasn't working. She sat us at a different table and we were told to just leave the food over at the first table, they would bring it over. The grill was transferred but we had to go get the sides we had ordered. We didn't even get to order a second round of meat because of the amount of time wasted with the first grill. The waiter came once after they moved us and then just brought the check. The meat was chewy and not good quality. We weren't even offered an apology for what had happened. After moving us they just set that table as if nothing was wrong with the grill, so good luck if you get sat there. Also the music is there is annoyingly loud to the point where you can't hear the person sitting next to you talking. read more

Last two times I went with my friends two weeks ago we had Jasmine (petite, blonde hair, Asian girl) as our waitress. The first time we didn't think much of it cause maybe she was just having a bad day, but the second time with the same attitude meant that's just how she is. And honestly it was a bit disappointing not just cause she was like this with us but also her other tables; she was very flat and dry. Not the usual customer service we get from Hwaro. Which we've been coming here for years, almost 6 years and we've always loved the amazing service with authentic engagement and conversation. But Jasmine both time was very cut and dry, just a "what do you want" and a "anything else?". Again I will say I love this place cause I've made many memories here with friends and family throughout the years. And the service was always welcoming, fun, and friendly. I'll still come in like I usually do but trust me that if we get Jasmine as our waitress we'll request another waitress. Coming from someone who works in customer service in both retail and food industry, at least try to make the most out of your shift. And if you don't like your job go find another career that makes you at least enjoy it a bit. read more

This location is less busy than the original. We called ahead and didn't have to wait much. The side of the restaurant closest to the door was really hot & made even hotter with the grill. I noticed the other side was not as bad when I went to the restroom before leaving. I would suggest asking for a table on that side. The food was ok. The quality of the meats was not the best, just ok. The AYCA included lots of appetizers and other menu items, which was nice. Just 1 dipping sauce they put on the table. You order 3 pieces of protein, per person, at a time and they bring it to you. You cook what needs to be cooked on a table grill. There are options for soups, sushi rolls, and more. The Salmon and tuna were delicious. You can have unlimited bowls of rice, kimchi, and other toppings brought to your table as well. One desert per person is also included.
