It's been a while since I have been here. Inside has been completely renovated from the last time I ate here. Hwaro is one of the OG Kbbq spots in Vegas. They have always had great service and food. All their banchans are flavorful and pretty addicting. They now have a variety of raw seafood options on their premium menu which was $35 on 4/3/26. Sushi was good, not the best but hits the sushi craving while at a Korean bbq restaurant. Sushi is not the specialty so its quality was good enough. The meats are delicious and they have a great variety. The emperor's kalbi/brisket/beef belly/spicy squid/beef tongue are all delicious and on the regular menu. The premium menu has great options such as ribeye, filet mignon, skirt steak, and premium pork options. I say spend the little extra money to go premium to try a variety of everything. Serves stay on top of things without being too much. Perfect balance and they took care of us well! read more

BBQ and sushi, all-you-can-eat?! What?! And they're open until 2 AM?! Amazing! We went around 10 PM on Friday. There was a wait, but it wasn't too bad, and it was totally worth it. The value for what we paid was incredible, and the quality of the meat and sushi was top-notch! I really wish this place existed in the Bay Area (although it probably couldn't due to the price being much higher). All four of us were starving, and we had a fantastic time just eating nonstop. Hwaro is my go-to for Korean BBQ. Both locations are consistently great, with high quality cuts of meat that are my favorite. I'm always comparing their corn cheese and "the shit" to other places because Hwaro's is one of the better options in my opinion. We waited about 45 minutes after arriving at 9 pm, which is pretty standard, and always worth it. I love ending the meal with an affogato. First time coming here after the remodel (10/27/2025). The place looks great much more spacious than before! The old location felt pretty small and tight inside, so this is a nice upgrade. The food was good, though not the best. The brisket had too much fat and barely any meat, and some of the meat that came out was very low quality..so the quality could be better. The sushi, however, was pretty good. Customer service was great our server was very attentive, and the food came out on time. Would I come back? Hmm, probably not. Overall, it was a good experience, and if it's your first time, I'd say it's worth trying at least once. read more

as an avid KBBQ enjoyer from SoCal, i gotta check out any recommendations even out of state. Todays visit to hwaro was a great experience for near the strip asian food at a solid price for quality. Food - (7/10) Ordered the lunch special at $26 a person, which for everything it included was already a stellar price. In terms of delivery, I didn't care much for the banchan or raw fish options as nothing stood out or had flavor worth devouring. The corn cheese, bulgogi fries and KFC were solid (just wish the KFC was crunchier) and sauce options were standard (the hwaro sauce is a hit!). Most importantly, the meat was great aside from some overly chewy beef tongue. Great flavor from the toro, brisket, and especially the pineapple steak. Small ice creams of unique flavors are included, and DELICIOUS! Service (9/10) only 2 staff members on the whole floor this afternoon but they were quick with refills, getting food out, and any extras we needed. Just missed a few items we had to reorder, no issue. Ambiance (9/10) Modern, new look with upbeat trendy music (loudly) fills the restaurant and crafts an enjoyable eating experience. The first time we were here the meat is good. That's why we came back with some friends for dinner. But... we are a little disappointed because all.meat that we order are a bit chewy. Specially the beef tongue, kata rosu beef, and beef cut skirt. The wait time for your orders are longer than other places we've tried here in LV. The service is also slow. You also have 60min to dine, and you need to make your last call, and not 80mim. They have limited tables and may not be good for groups more than 6. Otherwise you will be seated on separate tables. Hwaro has AYCE during lunch and dinner with a variety of appetizer and sushi options. I went during lunch so I had the option to choose from the lunch or the more premium menu option, I opted for the lunch menu. The brisket, beef belly and sliced pork belly were my fave! I like the spicy marinated beef steak as it was tender and flavorful, the ribeye bulgogi was tasty as well. I'm not a fan of the beef tongue unfortunately, I usually love beef tongue but it was really chewy and tough. If you like more meat options, I highly recommend checking out the premium menu! Tip: arrive early for faster seating and the best meat quality. LOCATION/PARKING: Hwaro 1 is tucked into a busy strip mall on Spring Mountain Road, in the heart of Las Vegas' Chinatown district. Parking is ample and free, but can fill up quickly during dinner rush -- you may end up circling the lot once or twice. The area is well-lit and felt safe, even when we left past 9PM. Unfortunately, I came in here thinking the menu would be the same as hwaro 2, but it is slightly different. On the menu, they now offer premium meats as well as sushi. The sushi was delicious and fresh! My favorite was the tiger roll. As for the meats I got the classic brisket and the skirt steak, which are my favorites. The bulogi fries and KFC were my favorite app I did try their new cocktails as well they are on the sweeter side! But very refreshing. We ended up at Hwaro after ditching 888 Japanese BBQ because of their 4-hour wait. At first, I thought we lucked out with the quick seating... until the fine aroma of raw sewage hit us right in the face. Nothing says "bon appétit" like feeling like you're eating next to a busted sewer line. We still tried to give it a shot and ordered some meats, but wow--talk about flavorless. No marinade, no seasoning, just sad, bland meat sizzling away. Honestly, chewing cardboard might've had more taste. For a BBQ spot, that's pretty impressive in the worst way possible. This has been a go to spot with girlfriends. Very nicely decorated and newly renovated. Busy but fast to assist. The selections of meat are fresh. Service is quick and very helpful if you need assistance with cooking. Love that this location also has sushi to order as well. The only thing where I knocked off star was the last time we visited it seemed like staff wanted us to leave since they kept staring at us and passing our table, which made the experience uncomfortable. After having 8 rounds of sparkling wine and few small complimentary snacks on our first class flight to Vegas, we were HUNGRY. Hwaro hit the spot and it was a bonus that there was no waiting time by the time we arrived at Hwaro. We were craving AYCE kbbq and we noticed hella kbbq spots had no more wait lists because they were booked for the day. Hwaro came in clutch. We stopped by around 10:00 PM on a Saturday. I recommend calling them in advanced to see if the waiting time is brutal. The quality and quantity of the meats were pretty good. We like the Prime brisket but I also did like the Sliced Beef Tongue. It was very soft and tender. The complimentary ban chan was good and offered a decent amount. You can request for more. The cons about eating at Hwaro was the service. Honestly, the staff were very kind and I actually appreciate how they gave suggestions on what to try and order. But man, the amount of times we asked for a few specific things and it didn't arrive until we were close to paying was a bit disappointing. We asked for a spoon 3x, we waited for awhile and asked twice for our Soju that we been ordered, we asked for certain meats and were served something different, it all totaled up and just got a bit overwhelming. Ambiance was very dim with most of the light coming from the ceiling of the grill. We sat at a wooden booth and the floors were so slippery. After the meal, they offer complimentary ice cream. Our server Lee was one of the best servers I've ever had at an AYCE restaurant. He was so friendly, high energy and made the whole experience 10/10! (Thank you Lee!) The kbbq menu was big! The meat selection was amazing and tasted sooooo good and their sushi selection was great as well! The best of both worlds! The estimated wait time was 45 minutes, and we were seated in about 50 minutes, which was reasonable. I had tried calling ahead to join the waitlist, but it seemed to be in-person only. The service was good; the staff checked in at the right intervals, though at times, we had to wait for the meat to arrive--probably because we ordered in smaller portions. I had horrible service here, our grill wasn't working at all we were there for 30 mins after the waiter said he was going to give us a discount for having us there with a broken grill waiting for 30 mins and nothing and after we got moved to a different one he only came once and never again. I had to stand up and ask someone for more food, also some of the food tasted old for some reason but I will definitely not come here anymore. TLDR: It's the textbook definition of okay. KBBQ first timers would probably like this place. The meats aren't the best but the size of the menu will be the pull for the place. However, there are way better KBBQ options around the Chinatown area in Las Vegas if you're only after the meats. Meat quality and taste: Taste wise, the foods don't hold up as the meal progresses. This means only a handful of stuff are good while the rest are forgettable. The meat quality is not great either. I paid a premium for meats that I expect from budget KBBQ spots. The brisket looked more like Beef Belly with all the fat. The quality meats were generally topped with some sort of compound butter. Although I appreciate the gesture, I see this as a way to hide taste and quality by just throwing in some flavored butter. I can't believe I saw a hotdog in the premium menu... it's a hotdog.... Not to mention, the picture says an order gets 2 pieces and we were only given 1. Other food options: Things get better in this department. The hand rolls are part of the quality menu, and they're better than okay. The only downside is that you'll have to guess what's inside by peeking since they're served in a group. The tempura is generic but at least it's not Costco. The karaage is closer to chicken nuggets. The agedashi tofu is what you expect from a low level Japanese restaurant. We didn't order the other rolls or sides, but I'm sure other diners would love the many options provided. Service: No complaints from my side. My daughter and her friend went to this Korean bbq on August 30. She said they tried everything and it was delicious. A few hours after eating there she developed a really bad headache. To the point she felt sick to her stomach. The next day she had extreme diarrhea and nausea. She never threw up but she said she felt like she wanted to. She barely ate the next day and she kept saying she had bad pain in her stomach and still felt like she was gonna throw up. I'm going to monitor her today and if she's not better within the next couple of days after staying hydrated and resting I will take her to the doctor. I believe she had bad food poisoning due to the timing of her symptoms and what her symptoms were. She said it was good but the fact she feels so sick she doesn't want to go back. read more

Hands down my favorite kbbq spot. The meat was fresh, and super tasty! I was a bit skeptical about the sushi but I was impressed. The fish was fresh and delicious, it was nice to have a variety.
