Hyper Coffee was THE spot to hangout when I was in middle/high school... but surprisingly, today was my first time here! At 8am there were a few people working and sipping on their morning coffee already and there was plenty of free street parking. I ordered a chai latte 16oz which comes out to about $5. I actually thought the chai latte was incredibly mediocre and tasted mostly like sweet milk. The ambiance of the cafe is nothing special - no cute decor, music, or any notably comfortable or aesthetic furniture. It's not a "cute" cafe by any means, but it gets the job done. I'm staying in the area and love to try new coffee shops, I was intrigued by all the good reviews here so I gave it a shot. It was bleh. Overpriced (I got a white chocolate mocha latte for $6/7) and my drink just tasted off, like the milk was just about to go bad? I took 2 sips and tossed it. I have been going to hyper coffee for 4 years now, every time i go i love the friendly faces and great service. I look forward to the weekly specials. The food is exceptionally fresh and very tasty. My favorite place to sit is in the back patio while sipping on cappuccino. My husband almost always gets the bagel with salmon with a chagaccino. Service was also lacking, as I was standing in front of the small counter, clearly visible, waiting to order for 5+ minutes before the employee even bothered to greet me let alone assist me (and there was no one else in the shop). In an effort to support small coffee shops I went to Hyper coffee every Friday for about a month and a half. It's $8 for a small latte alone. And both times I ordered a peanut butter and jelly bagel, they messed up and gave me a plain bagel with a side of cream cheese. I called the second time to complain about the mix up since I was at work by the time I noticed and the girl said she would refund me and it'll show up in a couple days. Refund was never received. Plus owner looked annoyed when I was waiting outside one time when they were opening even though there were several other people as well. Owner and employees have a bad attitude, coffee is way too overpriced, and order messed up twice all give me reason to not want to return. read more

I came here on a nice fall Sunday and there was no wait like the other brunch places. That was a major plus until we ordered our food. I got the lox croissant sandwich and it was SO UNDERWHELMING. It was a croissant which 2 oz of salmon and 2 tablespoons of cream cheese. And that was it. That was $13 flat and it was something I could have made at home. Nothing was special and at the end of it, I was still hungry. For a $13 croissant, I expected a bit more salmon. Not to mention that water was $2 a bottle and if you ask for a cup of water, it is $0.50. Here comes the worst part. In addition, after a few more hours, my stomach started to feel weird. I remember opening up my sandwich to see how much salmon they put in it and it was rather browning up. I didn't think much of it since I was in a hurry and I wanted to just eat. It was a big mistake because now I am writing this review on my toilet in major pain. I am a major supporter of small local businesses. Maybe I came on an off day and their salmon was just bad. This cute little coffee shop located in downtown Arcadia. I came here for lunch. There is only 1 cashier working when I came to the store, and I thought it will take a while for the food to be ready. Ordered Turkey Sub panini, tuna panini, Earl Grey Tea, and Mango smoothie. Surprisingly, food and drinks are both ready within 5 minutes. The panini was slightly toasted, and they were flavorful. Both panini were not overly seasoned or oily. The Earl Grey has lavender flavor, and it was another surprise for me. Mango smoothie was good too. Fast services, friendly staff, tasty food and drink. I got the golden turmeric latte and it only comes in 10oz size. My order came out really fast. There's lots of newspapers, magazines, and books to read while sipping on a cup of latte here. I really like this coffee shops. It's a no frills mom n pop coffee shop. Perfect if you need somewhere chill to get some work done while getting a bite and drink while you're at it. I like getting a bagel sandwich and an iced mocha or golden latte. They also have salads, wraps, pastries, etc. I found them while trying to find somewhere quiet to work and needed to make sure there were outlets and free wifi. I really want to support local businesses and often find a local cafe to work from but it becomes very difficult to do so when the pricing is so out of touch, especially when it comes to the lunch menu. I will admit, all I ordered was a cold brew but it wasn't impressionable enough for me to say whether it's good/bad or want to come back for another. When it got to lunch time, I planned to order a panini that I saw photos of in other yell reviews. After looking at the menu and noticing that that the average lunch item was around ~$15 I had to reconsider. I ended up going across the street to get Boiling Point to have their lunch special, which includes a full sized individual hotpot AND drink for the same $15. I don't think I'll be visiting Hyper Coffee any time soon unless pricing is adjusted to be more reasonable. read more

Appreciate the ambiance and wifi. The chagaccino is delicious. BUT the food...extremely overpriced. I got the Chipotle chicken sandwich with a salad for $18. There were two thin strips of chicken, in stead of a whole breast, so it was mostly not fresh bread and Mayo. Avocado wasn't ripe either or on the side as we asked. Not sure it can be called salad when it was just lettuce with balsamic drizzle. I would say what we received was worth $5 tops. Very disappointed because the photos on the menu look full of chicken and delicious. You can tell the chicken was a couple strips from a frozen pack. I would be putting one star based on the disappointing and overpriced sandwich, but it really is a cute local place. Stick to the coffee, and you'll be happy. read more

Wife and I went to Hyper Coffee. First time visiting Hyper Coffee. Ordered latte and an egg and cheese sandwich. Horrible egg sandwich, tasted like burn plastic. Quietly asked one of the coffee shop attendants to take it back to their kitchen. Owner did not care, no follow up, no offer to correct the issue, no interest in asking about what might have been wrong with it. This is a one-transaction shop; as if they are in for a quick buck and nothing else. Needless to state this was our first and last time visiting this place. If you happen to visit here, stick to the latte coffee as they are good enough or just plainly do not waste your money and go somewhere else! read more

Popped by after a visit to REI and glad I did. I got an americano with a splash of oatmilk and it was a really great value considering the size and addition of oatmilk. I sat out back and enjoyed the spacious covered patio. Tempted by the Homeboy baked goods but so far I have resisted. Lots of COVID precautions and cute little plant sale section.
