I was referred to Ian by another moving company since I only need to have one item(refrigerator) moved. Ian was responsive to my inquiry, asked, and gave good information. Some of other companies that I contacted didn't even bother to reply back because I might be out their range or they don't move one item. Ian is very responsive and will give you a detailed quote when you provided him with the item's information. Since my moving distance is quite far so it's not worth for me to have it moved. Alright. This is about as good as it gets with last minute calls to movers. I needed furniture picked up in the Valley and brought to WLA. I was all ready to do this myself-you, know, rent the truck, get some guys and do it. BUT! I realized I am way past the age to do that stuff anymore. From first contact he communicated so well, he asked the right questions and gave me a solid price quote. He kept in touch before the move, re-conformed as we got closer and showed up at the agreed upon time. They deftly and expertly maneuvered large and awkward pieces of furniture through narrow doors and hallways, and were very careful not to damage the delicate finish on our walls. I was surprised how a mover could have a 5 star rating with over 130 reviews, so I emailed him and got an appointment set up for moving a fridge from my storage unit to my apartment. When I met him there, only then had I realized I forgot the key for my storage unit, but he nice enough to wait with my friend there while I drove back home to get the key. He handled the fridge very professionally, lots of blankets and wrap. When he loaded it on his truck, he moved it in its normal vertical position so that the wait for powering it up wouldn't be as long. He had lots of straps to keep it in place, I had no concerns about it shifting or falling. When we got to the apartment he had no issue taking the fridge up a flight of stairs, he just needed me and a friend to help him push it up as he pulled. I did that because it would be cheaper, but if you don't want to do that or can't for whatever reason I think he has a team that you can have do everything instead. Lastly he moved the old fridge out of its position and put the new fridge in, which was very convenient. He can take the old fridge if you pay extra, but I had an appointment for the DWP to pick it up so there was no reason for me to do that. After a week or so the new fridge is working with no issues whatsoever. He definitely lived up to the reviews and I wouldn't hesitate a recommendation to anyone. read more

While we didn't move far, we did move onto a stair street so you can imagine how much work it was to carry all of our belongings up 50 or so steps all day. Ian did a perfect job. I bought a washer/dryer off of Craigslist and needed it moved from the previous owner's house to mine. It was heavy and unwieldy (at least in my eyes), but Ian handled it as only a professional could -- wrapped it carefully, strapped it securely to his pickup truck, and got it into my apartment despite obstacles like steps and a narrow walkway and doorways.
