Friend bought a 36" range and we had to decide between moving it ourselves or hiring someone. (this is the larger, commercial style range, not the standard 30" you probably have in your kitchen.) We decided to hire someone if the price was right. Needless to say, the price was right, which I learned after a brief phone call to Ian's Movers. During the call, I was asked several questions which I realised were to ensure that their movers were prepared the job. This assured me that I had chosen the right movers. (Questions included "are there any stairs present?" and "about how heavy is the item?") The movers not only showed up on time, but called ahead as I had requested they do. This was necessary as the movers, my friend and I, and the guy we purchased the range from all had to show up at the same time. The driver expertly parked the van in the driveway, and the pair moved swiftly yet carefully. I was impressed by how quickly it was all done and particularly by the fact that these 2 guys dead lifted this huge range onto their dolly. (they also wrapped it in plastic wrap to ensure it did not get scratched). They showed up with the range shortly after we got to our destination, and got it in again- carefully and quickly. There were also several confirmation emails and info sent, again- VERY professional. Exceedingly happy that I was able to find someone willing to move just one item for a good price, and even more happy at how perfectly this move went. You cannot go wrong with choosing this company for your move, as their many 5 star reviews demonstrate. I hired Ian's Movers based on all the reviews I read on Yelp, and I was not in the least disappointed! Johnny & his team showed up & got to work IMMEDIATELY! I underestimated the time it would take me to pack up everything, so I was still packing when they arrived. Nonetheless, they proceeded to pack up everything I asked them to move AND even helped me pack up my own items & prepared those for shipping. I had a number of very fragile pieces, & I was SO impressed with the great care they took in securing/wrapping each item to ensure it arrived to my new home in the same condition it left the old one in! There were only three of them, but you would swear there were six, for the speed & efficiency of their work! Moving is already stressful enough. Ok, so where do I begin?! After days of contemplating if I should hire movers, I was finally convinced. Using Ian's Movers was the best decision I made! The team on all levels was AMAZING, from the booking team to the actual movers -- Steve and Orlando! I booked the day before and the team was ready to go and available before the arrival time, which was perfect as I was hoping to be done as early as possible. I had a hiccup with the size of the storage unit that was unresolved as Steve and Orlando were loading and Steve assured me that there were options in the event I couldn't upgrade to a bigger unit -- luckily it worked out and I was! But the flexibility of the team really made me feel at ease. Moving forward I will recommend Ian's to all that ask! They made what was an already stressful day way less stressful. OMG! This is by far the best moving company I've ever used! Vladimir and his team arrived very close to the beginning of the arrival window, packed us up carefully and quickly, and the price was so much more reasonable than other companies' (I paid half of what other companies quoted me). I moved from a west-side 2-story 2bd apartment with my partner to an east-side 3 bd single family house.... on top of a huge hill. The moving truck wasn't able to make it up the driveway at all due to the enormous incline, so the guys parked on the street and carried all the furniture up by hand. Not only were they professional with their attitudes and work ethic, they had us fully moved in at just past 1 hour! I've included pictures of their hard work. Besides being friendly and easy to talk to, Ian was a consummate professional in every sense of the word. He was on time, energetic, fast, and charged me exactly the price he quoted me. I used him on two occasions. The first time, I was moving a table from a store in Santa Monica to my apartment. I had mentioned that I saw something at a garage sale earlier that caught my eye, and he took time out of his schedule to drive by it so that I could see if it was still there. The second time I used him, he picked up two mirrors for me downtown and then drove them to my place in Santa Monica. Since I had used him before, he actually offered to outlay the $ to the seller so that I wouldn't have to schlep downtown from the west side. I found it to be such a nice gesture. I hired Ian's Movers to move me from my shared 2nd story apartment in Long Beach to my own duplex in Redondo Beach. Renting my own uhaul and begging a friend to assist me would have been around the same price, but I was dreading the mental and physical strain that comes with moving yourself. I decided to give Ian's Movers a shot. The booking process was easy and online, but they provide follow up and confirmation emails so I felt confident days prior to my move. I received a call exactly one hour before they arrived, which I appreciated. The two young men who moved me were extremely friendly, yet professional and got right to work. I truly felt like they worked as quickly as they could, and I felt so happy that I hired professionals. They made the experience enjoyable and easy on a very hot day. I originally found Ian on Craigslist and he was a god send!! It was a last minute move and he was more than willing to work me in his schedule. His prices were more than fair for all of the hard work that he did (not to mention he put up with my dog)! :) Note: He is definitely dog friendly. Super nice, hardworking guy who is a pleasure to have around. He came equipped with everything he would need to move my stuff (blankets, ropes, tape, tie downs, etc.) I've used so many sketchy / flakey movers in L.A. who are more than happy to do a minimum amount of work. Ian will make sure you are happy with everything before he leaves. My roommate also used him to move to another apartment and he was also very impressed. I couldn't rush here fast enough to talk about how terrible this service was. The job was not only half finished but it was done at a rate that was disrespectfully slow. They showed up in a small truck that led them puzzled with how to fit things in there taking up even more time. I would not recommend anyone use this service if you're looking for your moving process to be seamless. After leaving my apartment I had to tell them to just stop because they were intentionally milking time. Taking small things like lamps and putting them on Dollie's I wish I had more time to talk about the amount of dissatisfaction I feel after giving them a full rate and still having to complete the task at hand. I've hired Ian twice to move some big furniture (heavy file cabinets, bed, etc.) & he was fantastic both times. I had a ridiculously huge & sturdy piece of handmade furniture--a wardrobe made in-room that would not make it out of the room intact....but, I hadn't thought of that before he got there. He could tell it wouldn't fit through the doorway, but, he faithfully tried to move it out for me & let me come to the conclusion that the thing would not leave the room! I appreciated his willingness to try--and let ME decide it wouldn't work, rather than fight me in the beginning:-) He's extremely professional, friendly (without getting in your business) & an all-around cool guy. Great moving experience today with the Antonidas Team from Ian's movers. The team was prompt, efficient, communicative and just good guys who worked hard! I had a challenging one move with lots of stuff & detailed items and they handled everything great! They took great care of all my things, asked questions on how I wanted things handled, wrapped, etc and were helpful to me in trying to place things in my new place. I am super happy with everything! This is my second time using movers and it has been night and day. This move has taught me how much is really involved in moving. I hugely underestimated it. Nikki and Alex were the movers I had and I've never seen anyone working as hard as these two and non stop. My last movers disappeared non stop nowhere to be found and charged for all of their missing time. Nikki and Alex alerted me when they took a lunch break (more like dinner because it was so much to move). They were so friendly and offered to help every time they saw me doing something. Not a single item was damaged--they did an excellent job wrapping our furniture, even the very large and heavy pieces. Our previous moving experience was a disaster as our movers ghosted us, so we were thrilled with how Ian's Movers manage their bookings. In the past I had a wonderful mover who I used several times, the last time being 10 years ago, but unfortunately they were no longer in business. I decided to use Ian's Movers based on the Yelp reviews and I now have a new favorite mover: Ian. I would definitely use them again. They were excellent: courteous, efficient, and careful. Most of all they did not try to play games (and believe me I have seem them all in the many times over the years that I have had to move: the long bathroom/ lunch breaks, the undisclosed charges for stairs or long driveways, the bogus/inflated mileage, etc. etc. None of that here. Ian was great! I was moving and he helped me move a huge awkward shaped fridge. This fridge was a huge project, but he took it apart to move, and when we made it to the new location he put it back together without any problem. Also, I asked him to help move some pieces of furniture from my old location to my new home. I underestimated the amount of time it would take to perform this move, but he was totally cool about the job taking 3 hours more than anticipated, and did not charge me anymore money than what he originally quoted me. I'll start with this, Ian even turned down the extra money I tried to give the guys for the great work on a tough job! I truly couldn't have been happier with my experience. Ian and Dylan moved a stacking clothes dryer for me and did an incredible job. The job turned out to be much more involved than originally anticipated but these guys came through big time. Not only were the efficient and on time, they also took good care of the appliances and pulled everything off smoothly. I was pleasantly surprised with Ian's movers!! My last movers did a horrible job, they didn't wrap anything and two lamps got broken. They were also pretty surly. Someone suggested that I call Ian's Movers, so I did. These guys actually WRAPPED and padded all my furniture items! Nothing got broken, and I felt that they really listened to my direction. I also appreciated that their foreman really seemed to know his stuff and he was really good at directing the laborers They also showed up on time and stayed until the job was done, which was very late at night.
