I was in LA from out of town and needed to get a king bed moved at the last minute. Easy to do when you know people but when you don't know anyone it can be daunting. Figured we'd give Yelp a try and when we saw 5 star reviews for Ian we couldn't go wrong. We texted him on a Friday night and he got right back to us and set the move up for Saturday. He showed up when he said he would, came with the right equipment to move the bed and was done, door to door within an hour, which included the travel time, hauling the bed up a flight of stairs and setting it up. They were fast, courteous, and were very careful with my belongings. Ian is Great! When I was moving to a new apartment at the end of the summer, I was nervous about how I was going to move my furniture. After calling several companies and getting several dead ends and ridiculously high prices and time limits, I reached Ian. His prices are fair and he's extremely efficient AND he was available on short notice. As a broke grad student, I told him my budget and he worked to stay within it (meaning he really hauled ass without compromising the integrity of his work). He has everything you need for your move of any size. He will assemble and dissemble your furniture with care and wraps and protects everything nicely. You may be nervous about hiring some random guy off craiglist (where I found him), but he is legit. On top of that, he is personable, funny, and extremely nice. He also was in touch, with reminder email and confirmations about the date and time of the move. Yes, he WILL show up on time. Throw this guy some bucks for your move, you won't be disappointed. The only problem I had is that he was a single mover then (still warrants five stars though). I emailed them on a Thursday night for a Saturday move after my original moving plans fell apart. They emailed and called me back right away and couldn't have been more pleasant or helpful. Mark, one of Ian's referrals hooked me up and was so awesomely professional, fair and courteous (Mark is on the contact page on Ian's site). Mark gave me a courtesy text and call that morning, came on time and was completely ready with couch covers, padding, bungees - you name it. Five star service for SUCH a reasonable (teeny price). today i moved from a 3 bedroom place to a beautiful 2 story condo. rudy, nick and nathan were extremely professional. they texted me and told me the time to expect them. they were very punctual and got straight to work. they arrived to my new place at the same i did. so they weren't taking their time to drive there. they were so fast and so thorough with the move. no broken pieces or parts. that's a major plus because most of my furniture is mirror furniture and crystal. they also assembled my sons bed for me and my dining set as well. i would definitely recommend them if you're moving. this couldn't have went any better. thank you so much you guys. read more

I recently purchased two items (one large tv stand / sideboard type thing, one medium-sized end table) from Urban Home in Sherman Oaks but their flat-rate delivery fee of $150 sounded a bit high to me. I found Ian on Yelp and also checked out his website, which includes rates, contact info, and even a video demonstration of him moving a fridge. I contacted him via email and he was prompt to respond. For $60, he drove to Urban Home, picked up my furniture, and delivered it to my apartment in West Hollywood (which is about 12 miles away). He I helped him carry the larger item up the stairs and into my place, and when I went out to his truck I was able to see that he had firmly secured the furniture in his vehicle. Ian helped me remove the packaging and arrange the items. Overall he was very pleasant and easy to deal with. I will definitely use him to help with my next move and would recommend him to anyone. read more

Wow, Ian is great!!!!!!!! He was exactly on time, he is a completely nice guy, and he was very careful about not harming walls or light fixtures when he moved my couch. So, the job got done quickly, but safely. Also, the reason I was getting rid of the couch was that my cat peed all over it, and Ian stayed in a really good mood even while moving a couch that stank of cat pee. Before he showed up, I was wondering if it was a good idea to have just one person move my couch, but Ian is very tall, rangy and strong, and he made it look easy to get the couch down a 40-step staircase.
