I understand that you pay for service. IHOP is not a pricey eating establishment i did not expect exceptional service. However what is expected is basic respect. I do not expect to be criticized behind my back because I ask for fresh eggs not egg beaters. My waitress's nsme was andrea she brought our drinks: coffee for my mother & water for myself. She took our order: senior pancakes for my mother & the half waffle combo for me in which I asked for eggs from the shell. The waitress did not make any faces, no comments about it, nothing out of the ordinary.. Right after she left my mom noticed she had forgotten to bring cream for her coffee. My mom got up to ask for the waitress to bring some cream. She over heard our waitress Andrea laughing with the cooks about how I asked for fresh eggs. Most people aren't aware but if you ask for eggs ihop will give you egg beaters unless asked otherwise. Egg beaters are just a bunch of processed crap and chemicals, vitamins are added back in because after all the processing the egg loses its natural vitamins. So excuse me if I don't want to pay to eat chemicals Andrea! I will not be returning to this ihop. read more

This IHOP and it's owners sponsored Workman Elementary's 5th grade class to raise money for their year-end celebration in June 2018. They also donated on top of the proceeds. In never fails. Every time we come to IHOP, whether it be for breakfast, lunch or dinner we have always received excellent customer service. Today was not the exception. The hostess, Samantha, received us with a smile and lead the way to our table the moment we walked in. Once we were seated, our server came to our service almost immediately. We had our children with us, and well, kids tent to take a while to order. Our server never showed a sign of frustration. We have been to places where it happens. Waiters get impatient when kids order. Furthermore,Our drinks and orders were placed and the turn around on them was unbelievable fast. During our meal, we were approached to see if we were in need of something. By the time we were about to ask for the check, it came before we even got around to ask for it. To top it off, We had a voucher for two complimentary meals. The staff was not aware of it. When it came to take care of the check, Samantha, the beautiful young lady that helped me, not only honor voucher, but the $5 off from a yelp check in. In addition, she also took care of our kids meals. Unbelievable. Sale we didn't not have any cash on us for a tip. So I asked to purchase coffee in order to leave a tip. Once again, Samantha was generous enough to charge for a penny so we could leave a tip, instead of paying for a coffee we didn't need. Way to take care of their customers. The food and service are ok. The manager is an idiot with no concept of customer service. He yells everyone's names instead of simply calling them out. He's like a character out of the movie "Idiocracy". The last bit of annoying came from a very bright flickering light that didn't need to be on because of all the sunlight, but the manager wouldn't turn it off stating "He would have to turn off all of the lights in the restaurant." My daughter and i had dinner at our local IHOP. It was for a fundraiser for St. Christopher. We seen our friends over dinner. It was great to have a delicious dinner with great customer service. Decided to treat ourselves to some Sunday morning breakfast. Got there early to avoid the crowds and was glad to be seated upon arrival. Server was tentative but the ambiance was terrible to say the least. The cashier's booth is smacked in the middle of the place and it's an employee communal area. First of all, it's a very long review so stay with me. I would like to thank the manager Beverly who was so kind after having the experience that my boyfriend and I had this past Saturday afternoon. I love ihop and this is the closest one to my house so this is the one we go to. I have always had a wonderful experience here except this past time. My boyfriend and I got there around 1 in the afternoon, not crowded at all, no wait time, everyone was nice until we met our waitress. Her name was Xiyoung S. I'm sad to say that I will probably always remember her name because of the awful service she gave us. It started when she took our order, "2 orders of the strawberries and cream crepes", my favoriteeee, a must try! She came back with 2 crepes, not two ORDERS of crepes, just two. She was smiley when she handed it to us and asked if there was anything and I was smiling, because I was nervous to tell her "oh we actually asked for 2 orderssss if crepes". Her smile disappeared and said "you asked for 2 crepes" (why would two people only order 2 crepes for lunch?) and we cleared up that situation and got our correct order. When I had ordered for my boyfriend and I, I didn't know he wanted a combo so when she brought our correct order, he politely and shyly asked if he would be able to get eggs, hash browns and toast as well on the side. She literally put both of her hands on the table, looked at both us as though she was extremely irritated and caused her some type of trouble in her job. She irritatingly took out the notepad where she took our order, wrote it down , and walked away. (Note: the restaurant was not busy and we had also witnessed her doing this to another older gentleman who was brought the wrong toast and asked for the right one). I just assumed maybe I had high expectations of customer service since I work in the food industry, but after that little bit, I knew she was a problem. She brought us our bill with our food, probably so she wouldn't have to come back to our table again. She charged us for different crepes that we ordered, I'm not sure if there's a price difference but I gladly paid for those. What I did have an issue with was she charged us for 2 extra crepes which was almost an extra $6. The two crepes that she originally brought out, that I did not touch and that she could've taken back or thrown out. It was her mistake, and I was wondering why I had to pay for it. I immediately lost my appetite because I knew I was going to have to ask and probably speak to the manager and I didn't want to make a big deal out of it. I kindly asked the woman who charged us, who was very nice as well who tried to explain to me what happened, when Xiyoung came up behind her and started to get loud trying to explain over the original woman who was already explaining what happened. My boyfriend stepped in and calmly talked to the original woman saying that we didn't feel like we should pay for it because it was Xiyoungs mistake. Xiyoung cut off my boyfriend and got loud with him. The original woman charging us told her to let him speak. The manager, Beverly, came to help us, Xiyoung walked away and sorted the situation out and I thanked her and told her how much I appreciated her help. I will continue coming here because I love iHop and am hoping this was a one time occurrence but I will not be waited on Xiyoung S. I'm hoping she was just having a bad day but that wasn't acceptable at all, in my opinion. This iHop has always given me great experiences but this one time almost made me not want to come here ever again if it wasn't for Beverly and the original woman who charged us. I have been to this IHOP tons of times before with absolutely nothing but positive feedback. ....today on the other hand was a different story. My family and I went there earlier this evening for a charity event " No kid hungry" . There was a woman there...possibly management, who was completely nasty and rude...hispanic, glasses and a pony tail...has no business being in customer service. I felt bad for the servers who's tips I'm sure suffered due to this nasty lady....we made sure to tip our server very well. The structure of the place is disorganized from hostess stand to dining area. The kitchen is located middle of the dinning room and front of the hostess stand. There are two waiting area which are inside and outside. The place is narrow and small, very limited space to comfortably move about. There are several occasion that I had to wait for the patrons and waitress to pass before I could stand up and go to the restroom. The prep stations are not sanitized especially the area of the cooked food. There are food particles all over the prep stations. The cook food that are waiting to be picked up by the waitress is exposed to the patrons that are passing by. Imagine the germs there are spreading onto the food, especially if they have a flu . The owner needs to revamp the whole restaurant to have a better flow and for the kitchen and prep area to be away from the public. older style i hope, went on MDW (memorial day weekend) line was about 20 mins but not bad for a holiday. food and service were great. had a great experience and enjoy this last minute brunch. we shared a simple 2 egg breakfast with hash brown,bacon and ordered a strawberry crepe on the side which we also split. This was the worst decision to come here today with my boyfriend. We were greeted and seated right away, however our waitress was unfavorable. We ordered and she brought out the food, but before we can take a bite of our food, she drops off the check. Seriously? No really. Seriously?
