This place was great. The evening would've been perfect had there been someone in the front to accept our check for payment. We stood there for almost 10-minutes before someone finally came over. We didn't notice it right away because we were talking and such so time went by. Still, I gave them 4 stars. And here's why............................ Food was excellent. Can't complain about any of that. Love their specialty pancakes. Mmm. The cinnamon stacks were good and tasted just like cinnamon rolls but with pancakes instead. However, I felt they added a little too much cinnamon mix. I scraped some of it off. The best pancakes was their Mexican tres leche pancakes. OMFG they are bomb as hell!!!!!!!!!!! You will die eating it or get lost in your thoughts. Will definitely order this one again. Such a nice blend of cream, caramel, and the whip cream was so light and frothy! Just delicious. I also ordered the breakfast sampler plate. Hash brows made to golden perfection. Nice and crispy without burning it. Bacon and sausage perfectly fried. Eggs so tasty. Hey, what can I say? Their foods are just that good and compliments to the chef. I will not hesitate to come back. They staff were extremely friendly. Smiled the whole time, engaged in a little small talk, just friendly. Have not been here in years. Shocked to see everyone wearing masks that work here. Not necessary and more of a turn off for me. Food was not like years ago and portions have definitely shrunk but the price has gone up. There are much better places in town that I'll be giving my business to. During the pandemic it's been nice to have our favorite restaurant still serving up the best food with friendly service and wonderful take out. We live in the senior community right around the corner and it's not always easy for us to pick it up but the delivery service has been wonderful we can still have our favorite foods :-) we're so happy that you have outside dining now cuz we love sitting outside there and having a wonderful meal. During the pandemic we were ordering breakfast from IHOP on Archibald. The last three times when I picked up orders, they confirmed my order and only to have them wrong when I have got the food home. I stopped ordering from this IHOP because of our pick up orders being wrong. So frustrating! I decided to try one last time. My review has everything to do with my treatment today by the manager at this specific IHOP location. I called in to place an order for my free birthday pancakes, because my birthday was yesterday and I had received an email. When I called the manager answered the phone and stated that I could not place an order over the phone and that I would have to come in show the coupon, as well as my ID to be able to receive the birthday pancakes and she asked for my name. About 10 minutes later I went in place my order with a very friendly and very nice customer service person at the register. I I showed her the coupon had my ID out I asked her if she needed to see my ID and I was informed no I don't need to see your ID there's no reason for that. I let her know that the person on the phone had told me that an ID was required, but she said it was fine I didn't need to show it. While waiting for my to-go order of birthday pancakes the very nice customer service lady comes back out along with an older woman (manager) who had spoken to me on the phone and asked if I had called in already and placed an order? I informed her that I had called, but didn't place an order because the manager would not allow me too. The manager then stated "you called in a few minutes ago and placed an order for cupcake pancakes". I again stated "No, you wouldn't allow me too, also I never mentioned which pancakes I was ordering because you would not allow me to place an order because you said I needed to come in show the coupon and my ID". She then asked me "well, did you show it?" I let her know that I asked and the other woman at the register said I didn't need too. The manager then tells me "no, you need to show your ID" and walks away. I don't know if this manager is just rude, overly protective of her pancakes or discriminates against certain "types of people", but I felt truly offended by her attitude and the way that I was treated today. So I've seen the commercials for the 4.99 special I go in there with another person we sit down to eat and I told the person I want to 4.99 but the only thing is the other person ordered another breakfast plate off of the menu that doesn't even have any prices??? So when I get the bill and mind you my special was unlimited pancakes and the other person across for me was unlimited pancakes my total was 4.99 and his was 14.99 and I was like what the heck?? So because he's played had I guess hashbrowns and two extra pieces of meat on his plate that's why it was 4.99 So I call the manager and she was like well the menu tells the customers about the fine print on the price on the other menu?? And that the 14.99 Had Way more So I explained to her that I think I got gypped because I was expecting 4.99 a pop So I said that's fine I'm just gonna go to Denny's because they have a 599 or 699 and you get unlimited pancakes also!! I walked in and notice trash on the floor including food crumbs. Told the front cashier lady it's a party of 2. So we sat down and I notice how DUSTY the rails are! The most disgusting thing happened to me yesterday as I was having breakfast there with my friend she ordered pancakes I ordered pancakes and in her pancakes she found a roach!!! Yes a roach!!!! Last evening with my beautiful bride, decided to give this place another visit. We were feeling rather adventurous and hungry so decided to try something beyond the usual. Bad decision. The menu depiction of their T bone steak looked delicious, so decided to try along with the meal's addition of eggs and pancakes. My bride decided on the super omelet. Server most friendly and competent, and our meals were brought forthwith. Then the unthinkable happened. Steak was terrible. Looked like manufactured meat, and tasted like cardboard. Wife's omelet not quite as delicious as expected. I take full responsibility for our decision. Sometimes when one travels outside their normal path, one is led astray. Suffice it to say: I will not be seeking pancakes at the Black Angus, nor will I be seeking steak at IHOP anytime soon.. Decided to try once more on 10/25/15. Wow is it ever crowded on a Sunday. That's always a good sign. I was not disappointed. Along with my bride, we had our youngest grand kids in tow. They accompanied us to church, so decided to treat them to a late breakfast. This time I treated myself to a relative new menu item, fruit topped Strussel. (probably spelled that word wrong) Any way it was delicious. Had the combo, which consisted of eggs, hash browns and bacon. All items cooked to perfection. Wife enjoyed her German pancakes while kids dined on mac & cheese, go figure. They (kids) consumed w/relish (no not the bottled kind) which seemed to satisfy their cravings. All was quite satisfactory. Staff here were incredibly helpful when I went! This little IHOP sits along a hill with plenty of foliage-covered parking. Friendly with my son and the food delivered as with most IHOP locations. Let's be real, you don't come to IHOP to get fresh food. It's basically Denny's but held to just a tad higher standard. But I came here and ordered whatever "fresh crepe" special that they had going on at the time. It was alright. Location wise, like I mentioned before this IHOP sits along a hill, and is less than a block away to the nearby 99 Ranch Market and just overall, the scenery is really tranquil with overhanging foliage everywhere, just a really quiet, nice part of Rancho Cucamonga. Only negative I have to give for this place is the lack of 24 hour status that most metropolitan IHOP locations have, but then again, Rancho Cucamonga technically is not part of metropolitan LA despite being only a short drive away by freeway. Still, it'd be nice to establish 24 hour status so night-style people like me have a place to kick it at night. read more

This place used to be good but a couple of changes have really downgraded the restaurant from a once-favorite family-friendly breakfast joint to a depleted wanna-be diner with horrible service. The beginning of our visit wasn't that bad - we were seated right away and attended to quickly by our waiter Carlos, who asked for our drinks. My family and I usually come there quite often since it is near my work, so we already know what to order when they ask us for our drinks. As I ordered, I reminded our waiter that we would like everything on the side. Although he may not have caught it (which is understandable considering that the restaurant was full,) I still requested that he tell the kitchen to put it on the side. By the time the food came, the Swedish crepe that we ordered as well as the spinach and mushroom omelette that we ordered came with all of the toppings on it, which we said should not have toppings. When we reminded Carlos about the toppings on the side, rather than apologizing and fixing it he not only defended himself by saying that the restaurant was super busy, but he also BLAMED US for not telling him what to do. Moreover, he also told us when we kindly asked him to fix it to "tell him next time." After some hesitation, we finally got him to fix it but right as he walked away he then stated that he will fix it for us "as a favor." Fed up with this, we talked to the manager (who then proceeded to ignore us) and decided that we would rather kindly ask the front person who handled the checks to take off the crepes that were messed up. Overall, a very negative experience and I dont think we'll be coming back there again. If you want an alternative, check out Denny's a few blocks away or even the other IHOP towards Ontario. read more

I went today with my family and I was blown away by the great service by Randi L. My son has autism and behavioral problems which makes something like eating in public very difficult for us. Yet we still do it to try to have normal interactios. My son refused the food he himself ordered, so she remade it for free without us asking. As we were leaving my son fell and the leftovers he was holding flew everywhere and she made us another to go order.. once again without us asking or expecting anything. On the menu the price of my meal was $12.49 and I was charged $16.99 very dishonest. When I told the person who was charging us she said " yeah we have different prices ". Wow. How can any of you give this place a good review. I am shocked. Shame on your taste buds!!! This is by far the WORST place to eat breakfast. Service was OK but the food....WOW. The worst bacon I have ever ate in my life. The microwavable cooked bacon you can by at any grocery store is 100x better. The server Mari was good but hummm hello, why did you not explain the omelettes comes with 1 side and toast is considered a side. So we get an omelette and toast....no hash browns, no fruit, nada? WTF. So then I ask her to add on a side of hash browns. The eggs used in the omelettes are they really eggs? They did NOT taste like eggs at all. I have feeling it's not fresh eggs or not eggs at all....blahhh! Then I get the bill, I could only laugh....$4.19 for a small side of hash browns that were not cooked properly, just thrown in the microwave. Came here with the family for breakfast. The place was not too busy so we were seated right away. The waiters and servers were very kind. However, although it was not busy, service was a bit slow. Food was very tasty. The husband ordered the big pancake egg and hashbrown meal (forgot the name). He seemed to enjoy it. The kiddos ordered the French toast specials...my son had the cookies and cream and my daughter had the strawberry. It's comes with your choice of side combos with egg, hashbrown, bacon or sausage options. They really enjoyed it and my son sends out a special recommendation to all of you to try the cookies and cream French toast special! I opted for the California egg special which comes with scrambled eggs topped with some tasty shredded cheese, avocado slices, tasty potatoes and a side of salsa. I don't like to post negative articles but it is what it is right. We just tried to eat at the ihop on Archibald ten (10) of us. Even though they have tables for 10 they would not sit us together. They had cleaned part of the dinning room and closed it to the public. The place was empty one hour before closing. Adam stated you can sit anywhere but we can't sit you together. We told him that we are a large family with many kids and want to sit together. He said he could not accommodate us. I told him he still had one hour before closing he said sorry can't sit you together. So we left the almost empty Ihop. We are now together at Corkys on Haven and the 210 freeway. The food is always delicious but the floor staff is what makes it that much more satisfying. I will say I'm slightly disappointed because every time I come here Ana the manager is always rude. I've only seen her be rude to her awesome staff but today she was rude to me. On the way to seating my two young boys ( 1 & 4 years old) and myself she dropped one of the menus on the floor. She then picked it up and sat us at our table and put the menu she dropped on the floor on the table. I immediately brought to her attention what she just did and rather than sincerely apologizing she snatches the menu off the table goes and gets a wet paper napkin and wipes down the table leaving it wet cause there was so much water on the napkin. She didn't even get a sanitized rag to wipe the table down. The menu fell on the floor. Nastiest place aside from a bathroom it could be.
