My father has been ordering from Imperial for as long as I can remember, now that I have a family of my own, Imperial is the best pizza joint in the southtowns, maybe all of Buffalo. We haven't been here since they did the reconstruction. It is quite amazing. They have a huge dining area and with Covid, they enough area to have a nice crowd. Their takeout area is awesome as well, they have a few windows so they can handle a line quicker. We actually came here for a fish fry and boy it was delicious. I can't believe I haven't reviewed Imperial until now. The pizza is top 3 in the world. Lots of sweet sauce, with gooey cheese and thick yummy pepperonis. Wings aren't the best. I usually go with the boneless variety which I can devour many then regret it after. The new-ish dining area is really nice. Small outdoor patio. Pretty decent beer menu for pizza place. I was told to try BBQ wings by someone and they did not disappoint. They were finished on the grill and got a nice char. All the subs my party got looked and tasted great! Grew up 2 blocks away but have long since moved away. Went there while visiting family. Signature Buffalo pizza but with a twist, the sauce is paste based and therefore sweeter than the average Buffalo sauce. That can be a plus or minus depending on your taste, but the wings were unquestionably great as well it should be in any Buffalo pizzeria. The atmosphere is laid back with a heavy Buffalo sports theme; the exception of an homage to the businesses investor and Stanley Cup Winner Patrick Kane who also grew up blocks away. I remember Imperial from 20 Years ago when my friends worked there and it was a quarter the size. I'm glad they expanded and now offer local residents a great place to hang out. YUM, YUM, & YUM!!! Being from NYC we have high expectations for pizza and this was IT. We ordered ahead requesting a thin crust pie and let me just tell you, it was THIN. We got back to the house and could not stop devouring this pie. It was super cheesy, nice and thin, and SO flavorful. They cut it into 16 slices so we were all able to eat a bunch, and honestly could not stop. Great job to Imperial Pizza! New Yorker approved!!! As someone who lived in South Buffalo for a number of years, Imperial Pizza was by far my favorite slice in town. I have since moved to East Aurora which I have now lived for almost 20 years. The problem is, several pizza places around my neighborhood are so inconsistent with their pies, so I decided to rely on one of my old time favs and took a drive to Imperial Pizza on Abbott Road in South Buffalo, my old neighborhood to get a typically delicious pizza. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed in the pizza. I ordered a large pizza half pepperoni, and definitely was not worth the trek. The pizza was not cooked enough, it just didn't taste as good as I remember it did back in the days, and $33.00 for a pizza, man not cool. Plus the parking is horrible! I had to circle around looking for parking. I know many people enjoy their food and the bar; just not for me, any longer. Definitely not worth the price, very sad considering how much I used to love this pizza and chatting with Dave and Jimmy the owners back in the day before when it was just a small delicious pizza pick up place. I think since they expanded into the bar / restaurant business I have heard from many people who used to go there often that it's just not the same. Ordered for the first time based off of high ratings and popularity amongst coworkers. The facility is really nice. Great for sit-down service, people looked comfortable. I can see where it's a great community restaurant/hangout destination. Service was fantastic. Ordered pizza for a kids birthday party online at like 6am. Platform is easy to manage, the food was prepared exactly to my requests, and pickup was super easy! Staff was kind and helpful. The only reason I gave it four was because, to me, the sauce is everything for pizza and I was not wild about the sauce. Not very good at all. I used to work down the street and I used to see this place locales every day. I got a cheese slice from here once and I didn't enjoy it at all. I then got a slice with custom toppings on a different day thing perhaps that would make a difference it did not. Now I know sometimes slices aren't prepared the same as whole pies. So my cousin and I went ordered a pie and these sweet potato fries with Buffal cauliflower. The cauliflower and the fries tasted identical like oil and whatever had been frying in said oil all day! Interesting considering neither appetizer was oily. The pizza sauce was very sweet and overpowering. The ground beef on the pizza had absolutely no seasoning and the crust was not appetizer to our palates. I love a good crust. This was not it.
