Imperial is my go-to chicken finger pizza in buffalo. Their bbq fingers were great although they forgot the bleu cheese. I do love a single slice of their pep and banana pepper as well. Their normal pizza is good too, but I tend not to get it because it's a little too saucy for my liking, just my opinion. Always quick service, and although I never eat in the restaurant it is a beautiful sports bar. read more

Stopped here while in Buffalo and had so pretty good pizza! The pizza was SO FLUFFY. The crust was huge and pretty delicious. We just got a standard cheese pizza which was good and we also tried their boneless wings. Tried the garlic parm which I really liked and would get again. It was a lighter oily sauce with a good amount of parm. Then we were also adventurous and tried about the loganberry BBQ. These were a bit different for me. Kinda jelly like tasting but good. Hospitality isn't their strong suit but they can quickly crank out those piping hot pizzas! I love it when pizza places offer pizza by the slice: more budget friendly and keeps you from committing to a whole pie when you don't know if you like their pizza or not. If you're going to order slices, make sure to go during the lunch or dinner rush so that you're guaranteed a fresh and hot slice. We ordered 2 slices of pepperoni (Oh yeah!) and an order of their deep fried cauliflower (meh). We got our orders piping hot, just the way I like it! The slices were massive slices in size and weight; I had to fold them in half in order to pick them up. The edge had a crisp crust of cheese with a soft interior and a satisfying chew to it. The sauce was savoury, and the thick layer of melted mozzarella cheese had that nice stretch to it. It was topped by my favorite type of pepperoni which is thick, curls up on the edges, and crisps up during baking. I could not even finish one slice. It's best eaten while warm, because it's denitely NOT the type of pizza you'd enjoy cold. If you're a carbivore that likes thick crust pizza, load of stretchy mozzarella, and thick slices of pepperoni; you'll enjoy Buffalo style pizza here at Imperial. Went to the recently opened dining room of Imperial Pizza. They are still in their break in period for a new facility. Maybe because of the weather being very cold and stormy they had no Guinness on tap. Dining room is large , seats about 100, but their is no vestibule to the outside and every time the outside doors opened there was a huge draft. In town for business work and my associates (all 15 of them) ordered from Imperial free their two hour meeting which ended poorly. They delivered to our hotel in the lobby. They have a deal where for $64 you get a 20cut pizza and an order of 25 wings. They got two of those as well as a slew of BOSS pops and some plates and napkins. The order came a little late but the delivery kid was nice and asked how he could help set things up. Upon cracking opening the pizza box, look like things were rushed. Not enough cheese, and even though the crust looked more pan that tossed, things looked burnt because of that lack of cheese. Taste taste confirmed the sauce was good, cheese was good (where there was cheese) and the crust was the best part. As for the wings? Yikes. One of the best lunch deals in town is right here on Abbott Rd. in South Buffalo. Choose from a half sub (ANY sub!), slice of pizza, or... sorry, I can't remember the third option. My job orders pizza and wings from this place often. They deliver within an hour, sometimes faster. They are very generous with their pizza toppings. The wings are pretty good. If you get boneless wings I suggest getting extra sauce. The only thing I find odd is they don't sell salad. One of our coworkers is vegan so we'll call and ask for a veggie sandwich and they'll say they don't sell that. So we'll tell them just make a sandwich with all the veggies they have. When I went to high school in South Buffalo, I never truly appreciated the staple that is Imperial Pizza. Maybe it was just because I hated high school, but Imperial never really stuck out in my memory. Stopping in to eat and see their new(ish) remodel reminded me that Imperial really is all that! The remodel has offered lots of seating, plentiful TVs to watch whatever game is on at the time, and a bar that serves beer and wine. It is pretty loud, so do note that if you're trying to have an important conversation with someone, this isn't the place to do it. We got a pepperoni pizza and wings, and they were nothing short of delicious. I'm not a huge fan of sweet sauce, and theirs is definitely on the sweeter side, but somehow it works for me! The pizza is super saucy and very crusty. The wings were perfectly crisp and spicy! I'm glad I was able to stop here to see what it looks like after their remodel. Lately, Imperial has not been my favorite. I used to love Imperial. It was like Bocces pizza but slightly better and closer to me. However, since right after the expanded bar and patio was added, the quality of the food has declined massively. I prefer most other pizza places to them at this point Often, selected pizza thinness, sauciness, etc. From the online orders do not translate to what they actually give you. Their wings were fully cooked but not crispy. I cry on the inside generally because they use canned mushrooms. I wish they would refocus on their food. I don't even love stopping in for slices anymore because usually the toppings are completely falling off the crust and it's more like eating a bread and cheese salad than a pizza. However, the slice specials aren't bad. Also, their prices have increased like crazy, and not just wing prices. I believe we went to order a large and it came out to like $36 on Doordash. While doordash does add fees, their prices were still significantly higher than other pizza places in the area. Still 3 stars because the memory of when their pizza was still amazing remains in my mind. Sometimes they do it perfectly, but it's few and far between. read more

OK imperial- what's going on with the crust -was rubbery and did not taste like your usual crust. Also did the large pizza shrink? Are you cutting expenses ? because your quality is going down. We ordered and paid for a cheese and pepperoni pizza with half mushroom. What we received was half pepperoni and half mushroom. Not good imperial your standards are going down. Will be ordering elsewhere. We gave you two chances - have been ordering from you for years- Every couple of years your standards diminish but then you come back. We went out for a "pizza party" and we were not disappointed. This wasn't my first time here and it won't be my last. The Food was good the company was better. We had pepperoni and cheese pizza and some wings honey mustard BBQ and mild wings. While I normally would have ordered the thin crust the regular pie was just fine. Our waitress was fast and friendly and was always smiling a quick to see if we needed anything. The atmosphere is great since the remodel and it's right in our backyard. We came to Imperial to watch a Bills game. The bar is huge and we had plenty of room. The service was also great. I had never had their food, which I now regret that it took me so long. We ordered a large pizza and a bucket of wings. It was an incredible amount of food. Five of us ate till our hearts content and we had plenty of leftovers. The wings were crispy, like we asked. What do Buffalonian's eat for a late night dinner?! ... PIZZA! After reading some pretty convincing reviews from some fellow Yelper's, I decided to give Imperial Pizza a go. John and I both split a half pizza (6 slices): one side cheese and pepperoni, and the other I asked for hot cherry peppers and cheese. After placing the order, they said it would be ready in about 25 minutes. The drive from our house was only about 15 minutes, so I stopped at the store to grab a few cold ones on the way to pick up the food. Once I arrived, I was greeted by the friendly cashier and they quickly cashed me out and I was on my way. The smell of yummy goodness filled my car as I drove home, trying not to let my mouth water too much. I got home and unveiled what I hoped to be, a pizza to remember - it looked great! ...Unfortunately, I was not so impressed by the taste as I was by the presentation. Cut into long slices that varied in size, the pizza had dough for days but not enough sauce to make it a "pizza". Much more like extremely cheesy bread, the peppers were good and John had no complaints in regards to the pepperoni. I hate to compare, but this reminded me much of the way Franco's makes their pizza, but Franco's most certainly uses sauce on their entire pie. The sauce that I did get however was sweet, and actually not bad at all - just wish I had enough to actually enjoy it. It always surprises me how much people rave about Imperial. For me, it just misses every time. When moving into our SB home 2 years ago, it was the first pizza we ever tried in SB. It was so disappointing that we never ordered again (although we have eaten it when its been provided at parties and I'm never left thinking "wow - we should give it another chance!") The pizza is far overpriced when compared to other area pizzerias. The specialty pizza prices are outrageous! Almost $10 more than ones at our favorite pizzeria Mineos. I've also experienced rude customer service when picking up an order for a friend (they couldn't find our order and had put it into their system under a different name and blamed us for it!) After the renovations last year, the location itself is really cool to hang out at but thats the only redeeming part about this place for me. read more
