You order at the counter, go sit down, and they bring your food to your table. It's a popular spot, several people were enjoying a late lunch and others doing take out. They have at least a dozen tables inside and a few outside as well. The moussaka proved to be a solid choice. It came with hummus, salad, rice and bread. Hubby enjoyed the fresh flavors and said he would definitely order it again. I ordered the chicken shish wrap and it was smaller in size but filling. The chicken was moist and seasoned well. Overall, a nice experience. The interior is cozy and comfortable. The staff will come and clean the tables as time allows. There was very little interaction with the employees but they thanked us as we were leaving. Plenty of parking in the large lot shared with many other businesses.

They get your name, and your order is served fresh and piping hot. Then take a side of raw onions and the yogurt mint chutney (complementary in the refrigerator for guests to help themselves). Add a cup of complementary hot chai (help yourself). Lovely relaxed dinner for two in under $35! Just fyi: this is a super casual, hole in the wall. But if you're in for an authentic experience, and really care about well prepared food, this is your place. Ignore the decor and enjoy the food! It's self service. Polite, matter of fact service. Go up to the counter and order, and your food is brought to your table.

Went to this place a couple of weeks back but wanted to give you a review today. It was quite a bit of a drive for me but was definitely worth it. We had the buffet and it soooo inexpensive. & what variety of food for that money. We had fish pakoras that were really good. The tandoori was ok too. Loved the chicken (think its called butter chicken) the lamb was really well cooked. I tried some vegetarian food too but i usually only love non vegetarian food when i try indian cuisine. Everything was so tasty. They got out fresh naan every time. And we went when they were about to close and there was no rice and when i asked for it, the lady got a nice big bowl of rice and i felt so guilty that i wanted just a little bit and so much got wasted :( I hate wasting food. The service was grrrreat. They did it all with a smile, kept checking on us and asked if we needed anything. I only wish that kid who started sweeping when we were eating didn't do that coz i didn't feel like eating with someone sweeping next to me. But all is forgiven coz the food is really too tasty. Definitely driving to this restaurant again. Esp mention to the lady who was there coz she was really polite, nice and great at customer service. By the way I also loved the way this restaurant separates the non vegetarian food from the vegetarian food. read more

wow, the moment you entered the restaurant you get feel of great indian food , aroma of indian species , i started with lunch buffet and it taste so good, never had indian food in entire california , lamd curry , chicken thika masala was great and delicious., so i decided to bring my family for dinner . again the food was so great , hats off to chef , lamd vindoola , gobi shangia , kadai chicken for main course was wonderfull , we enjoy every bit of it, for desert we order orange kulfi , never seen it before the desert was actually served in real orange peel. the quality of food was excellent and i rate this place as the best in entire california for indian cuisine , again thanks to chef for making us a wonderfull and delicious meal . definetly we arge going to come back this restaurant ,as the curry are best in ca . thanks to chef again. john read more

Been to this place in the past and quality was decent. Went for lunch with a big group from state compensation fund yesterday, we called ahead and yet we were struggling to find place to sit, then there was a long line to get the buffet, and by the time i reached to the appetizers, everything was empty with no sign of replenishment. the two ladies in black and a guy at the register (who i presume is the owner) was trying their best to help the customers, but the buffet just wasn't adequate. Came here for lunch buffet with my friends and myself . They were super busy and their buffets have lot of different options such as butter chicken was really good. Vegetarian navratan korma was yummy. Awesome tandoori chicken . I also recommend to my friends if u wanna to have some good food . The waiters were very polite and always ask you if u need more naan during buffet. Ur glasses are full with water. I love this place very much . Checked this place after 2 months , good gosh so much improvement in taste of food. Definitely bravo goes to new chef . Took a family friend and his family there last week. It was a busy night and the place was packed inside. We ordered Samosas, chicken tikka kabab, Chicken Tikka masala & goat curry. Those who do not know about their goat curry, which is more popular than lamb in south asia and africa, is one of the best in the bay area, no holds barred. Naans can improve a little, but overall this is a 4 star restaurant. Restaurant gets crowded during lunch and buffet food is finished by 1:30, so reach early. read more

Serving sizes were good - not small at all but not huge either. Service was very friendly and consistent.. Tikka masala was thick and flavorful. Over the basmati rice was a perfect bite. Vindaloo was also juicy but felt that the sauce could have been a little thicker. Had also asked for super spicy vindaloo but it didn't feel that hot (but did make me sweat like crazy!). Tandoori was tasty but could have been juicier. Felt like it was precooked and warmed up versus being cooked fresh. The tandoori was a till very tasty though. Cost was a little on the high side since everything is à la carte (rice and naan extra). Three dishes, two rice and a garlic naan came out to $74 with leftovers. Lunch would have been $20-25 each if we only got two dishes instead of three. Overall we plan to return and try other menu items. The friendliness of the staff (I think she was the owner) alone would make us come back, but the food was yummy too! In fact, I think we will door dash some Ashoka for poker tonight!

It's a nice, comfortable, family-friendly place, which makes the overall dining experience even better. I also had a chance to meet and talk with Chef Mr. Siva. He was very humble, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the food. I feel this is exactly the kind of restaurant that people should support and help grow. Before leaving, I also got a mutton biryani to-go. They gave me a small cup to taste beforehand, and based on that, I already know it's going to be really good! I'm giving this review 5 stars because that's the maximum Yelp allows, but honestly, the food, freshness, quality, and value here deserve 7 stars -- or whatever the highest rating you can name! I like that they don't skimp on the paneer and provide the extra chutneys for you to add per your taste. Placing the order over the phone is super easy and I have never had a negative experience. The staff works efficiently and are friendly. Parking can be a bit of a problem in this complex but nothing that can't be worked out.
