Food was great just like home! I got the bistec empanizado with fideos verdes ( which Is the breaded beef and pesto pasta) sooooo good and a big portion! I also had the papa huancaina and a chicha morass which u can't go wrong with. Also they gave little rolls w butter and the green spice sauce on the side. So yummy. I have to look for the picture bc I can't seem to find it since I went before Covid. Service was good too, nice and friendly. All I need to say about Inti is that when I fly back to LA this place is a MUST STOP. Chaufa and ceviche, every time. They make my favorite Peruvian green sauce, of any I have tried...and their ceviche has me ruined for any other. Tiny spot, literally in a tiny parking lot, in a corner. Last month, I went to LA to visit my best friend, and we both quickly agreed this was the best Peruvian we'd ever had (she's been in LA for 4 years, and I've been in the NYC area for 3 years so we've both had a good bit of Peruvian). Local or visitor, you MUST stop at Inti!! We shared the Saltado (the pescado one I believe) and the friend rice with everything. The reviews weren't lying; the Saltado was amazing. That fried rice though, to die for!! We inhaled it, and a month later I still cannot stop thinking about it. So well cooked, the seasonings were perfect! The ladies working were so kind as well, such an awesome little hole in the wall! When I return to LA, the very first place I'll stop to eat at is Inti. Just amazing! read more

My favorite thing about LA is (if you can't already tell from my Yelp) the variety of cuisines you can try, all within such a short radius. I had never really had Peruvian food besides the Vietnamese-Peruvian fusion at Voxx Kitchen in OC, so I was excited to head over to Inti! It's very hole-in-the-wall, and there was no wait for dinner. I ordered the tallarin verde con bisteck frito which was a bed of pesto noodles topped with the biggest piece of steak! The pasta was creamy and not overly heavy, and paired well with the meat. I also tried a bite or two of my friend's lomo saltado which was so good (fries thick and still crispy on the outside, and juicy meat/veggies). It also came with a piece of yucca so there were all kinds of textures and flavors making up the dish! From the moment you walk in you get greeted with an upset stare from the older lady who works there and it just put a really weird energy in the room. She seemed like she was not happy to be there. The food is decent when there are not in a rush so half the time. The customer service is disappointing. When walking in they are not friendly and give off the gestures that you are bothering them. Lately they have been 30 minutes closing early and the staff is upset you're giving them business. They close at 8:30 pm which is not too late and the staff still wants to close at 8 pm. I have not had this experience with Mario's Peruvian which on the next street over. I will be dining there instead. read more

Mediocre at best. I ordered chicken soup and Arroz Chaufa especial. The vegetable in their chicken soup consisted of cauliflower, broccoli, bell peppers and chunks of ginger that floated. It's almost like they opened a bag of stir fry vegetables from Birds Eye and through em in broth. What kind of soup is that!? Pollo de Gallina vegetables from a stir fry package? Nothing special at all. The chaufa on the other hand was very good. Don't order the chicken soup with vegetables. Not good! Was excited to try this place. Went with a big group, couldn't hear the people I was with so I asked a guy if he could turn the music down a little. He did & all was well. So I thought. My plate was taking a while, we asked for it and the same guy told us it's coming. The dish took a lot longer. Scanned the room and saw a table that was seated after us get their pollo saltado before me. When the dish finally arrived the food was cold. It almost felt like a personal petty gab for even asking for the music to be lowered. I sent the plate back. Will never come back. Horrible first experience. Super amazing food and service. I can't remember our waitress's name but she was amiable and recommended some amazing plates. The plates were a hefty size which is a personal favorite and presentation was magnificent. We got 2 jarras de Maracuya and una de chicha. Both bomb but maracuya was a personal favorite. We had a big group so we were able to try various different plates including the Lomo Saltado, tallarín verde con bistec, tallarín con mariscos, ceviche, arroz Chaufa de pollo, y bistec a lo pobre. All amazing but among my favorite were the lomo saltado and the arroz chaufa. Ceviche was also a really good spicy and the juice tasted so good with the rice. Likes - friendly and quick cashier - huge portions - price on par with other Peruvian restaurants - green sauce has lots of heat Dislikes - I love a really juicy Saltado plate where the rice color changes and absorbs the delicious flavor. We've had our eyes on traveling to South America for a family vacation for years. Our South American plans includes visits to Iguazú Falls at the border of Brazil and Argentina, touring Argentina's famed Casa Rosada, Jardín Japonés de Buenos Aires, hiking in Patagonia and not to be missed in Peru is UNESCO World Heritage site, Machu Picchu and the famed Lines of Nazca. Well, our travel plans haven't quite yet materialized so in the meantime, we have started to seek out South American ethnic restaurants to dine at. Los Angeles is so multi-cultural that we had no problem finding Brazilian, Argentinian and now Peruvian cuisine. Although there are many Peruvian restaurants in the City, we chose INTI. INTI is located at Hancock Park's Melrose Plaza at the corner of Melrose and Cahuenga. It's in a small strip mall with a private parking lot and from the outside, it looks like it's a very tiny place. But, once you enter, the restaurant opens up to a much larger space. Our female server was a one-person restaurant dynamo. She was friendly, animated and attentive while she performed hostess duties, took phone-in orders, waited and bussed the occupied tables and even took the time to describe dishes and preparation to us Peruvian food novices. She frequented our table with smiles and water refills. We started our meals off with beverages called "maracuya" and "chicha morada". I used my Google Translate to see that maracuya was passion fruit but nothing came up that made sense for chicha morada. Our server was quick to describe this sweet drink made from purple corn, limes, spices and pineapple. Both chilled beverages were delicious, thirst quenching but seemed overly sweet to our taste so we diluted it as we dined. On the side, our server left us a squeeze bottle of a house-made green sauce called "aji Amarillo". Our server listed the ingredients for this perfect condiment which contains spinach, cilantro, aji Amarillo chiles, cream (?), garlic, Parmesan or Cotija cheese and salt. This condiment added a vibrancy to our food and apparently can be used as a dip to many dishes. FOOD: - Arroz Chaufa Especial: Chicken, beef, and seafood fried rice mixed with eggs, green onions and soy sauce. $15.95. We had heard that Chinese Peruvians make up about 4% of Peru's population. Chinese immigrants have long settled into Peru and so has their cuisine. The term "Chaufa" sounds like it's derived from the Chinese words for fried rice, "chow fan". The arroz Chaufa especial was a huge platter of fluffy fried rice with tender chunks of fried chicken, beef and sautéed seafood. Its simple soy sauce seasoning complemented the meats with its light saltiness. - Jalea de Pescados con Mariscos: This dish was a platter of fried fish, shrimp, octopus and calamari on a bed of lettuce, served with salsa criolla (red onions, lime juice, fresh chopped cilantro and chiles) and yucca fries. $21.00 On the menu, there are 2 line items for this dish. Our server suggested that we order the first line item or small size as it would easily feed 3 people along with our fried rice. Wow! She was right... the huge portions of crispy yet not greasy fried seafood. The three of us feasted on these Peruvian specialties and as full as I was, I was tempted to order the Lucuma ice cream (helado de lucuma) more out of curiosity because the first and last time that I tried that flavor was in late 2013 at O'ahu's Rico Rico Peruvian Rotisserie (closed in 2014). There are many more dishes that we'd like to try here but, our time in Los Angeles is running short...we'll just have to return soon! read more

Why can I say? I'm a sucker for good Peruvian food! If you're looking for something delicious, fresh, and authentic, oil no further! This place is definitely no frills, and is all about the food! If you're looking for 5 star decor, ambiance etc? Go somewhere else. This is about 5 star food, served by friendly, hustling servers! We got a few different items and they were all delicious! The bread they provide is perfectly toasted and a great appetizer that dips well in ANY sauce from your upcoming entrees The ceviche mixto was a beautiful mix of shrimp, octopus, fresh fish, in a sour lime marinade, topped with red onions for the perfect crunch! Again, DIP THE BREAD! Next we had the Lomo Saltado. The fries are fried like 3 times to give extra crop ones and crunch that holds up after the mixing with the sauce. Beef was tender and the onions and tomatoes were flavorful. Pro Tip: use your bread here! Or the rice!! Eat the sauce!!! Mmmm.... Lastly we got the Pescado Sudado. It was a tilapia filet in a tomato and chili broth. Fish was flaky and delicious, and came with another side of rice. Of course, I used the rice to mix with the broth. Seriously, all the dishes and broths were sooooo good! It was quiet in here on a Monday at 6:00pm but I can see how this place could get pippin! We will definitely be back! read more

I'll probably order anything on the menu and still order Lomo Saltado...it's delicious,very satisfying...theeir portions per serving are great, I have a big appetite and it gets completely satisfied... If you are in the West Hollywood area stop by,you won't regret it!! I'm not a food expert but my taste buds are recommend this place... it's not a fancy place if that's what you are looking for but the food compensates for everything else!! I have been to SO many Peruvian restaurants in LA and I have not found a place that beats INTI! This place is the best. I've tried a few different dishes from here and I love them all, but these are my favorites: -The famous lomo saltado is cooked to perfection, SO flavorful. -The chupe de camarones soup is AMAZING, and I love that they're not stingy with the shrimp! ;) -Some of the appetizers I've tried include the ceviche mixto, and the fried calamari. Both very delicious, and a generous portion is served. I love the service too, the waiters and waitresses are very nice and attentive. I know the inside of the place may not look like much, but trust me when I say you've got to give this place a try! read more
