The worker was very nice in explaining the menu and suggesting the signature bowls!! You can create your own bowl as well. The area was very clean and spacy!

Fruits were sweet and tasted fresh. They had a good amount of options for toppings and base etc. Price is normal and the for helping us was nice and patient. Ambiance is peaceful. I'd return again!

Glad they have a location in HB!

Very yummy ! Glad they got another location in HB not just Cerritos and love the unlimited toppings!

A great acai spot with endless options! I chose an acai and passionfruit base with my favorite toppings. Seating available inside with a modern feel. The staff here are always so nice as to well.

They have various healthy options for bases - more than just an acai base. You are bound to find something you like!

Came in today after work with my daughter craving a fresh treat. I ordered the mad mocha and my daughter ordered blue island, they were very delicious, EXCEPT my daughter did say the banana was pretty warm instead of cold which was odd. Other than that, they were delicious and well made. The service was friendly and helpful and the ambience was very chill and mellow, pop playing in the background with a lot of seating.

So good! They offer unique bases here like matcha, mango, passion fruit, coconut cream, etc. I got the sunshine bowl which had mango and passion fruit included. Very refreshing on this hot summer day!

Island Bodega recently opened next to Einstein Bagels taking over the former Starbucks location. They specializes in customizable bowls made with organic, fresh ingredients with NINE different bowl bases, various toppings (you can get up to 18!!!), nut butters, fruits, four granolas blends, powders, aaaaand chia puddings. Everything tastes fresh and is delicious! They have an app for quick pickup with a loyalty program. Bonus perk...they are currently having a BOGO promotion. They are conveniently located on the right side of the street a few blocks before the freeway. Check them out and support small businesses. They also have coffee and match drinks.

Food/drinks: got the small custom bowl and they did not skimp out on the toppings!! There's also a ton of bases to choose from (matcha, coconut, passion fruit, etc) Atmosphere: lots of seating Service: friendly! You can try the bases! Price: as expected but it's worth it for how packed they make the bowl

Island Bodega is a great new spot for acai bowls. The selection of ingredients and toppings to choose from are fresh and clean. I enjoyed the acai base as it was smooth, but it was a little too icy for my liking. The dried toppings like granola added a nice crunch to each bite, but I received a lot of finely broken pieces of it which tasted gritty. The interior space is open and clean!

I picked up 2 bowls filled with fresh fruits and toppings. Fast friendly service and easy to find parking.

They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, Wi-Fi (peep the password LOL), and AC, which was much appreciated. I ordered the Cookie Butter Matcha, and it was delicious. The foam was thick and creamy, making it the perfect sweet afternoon treat. At first I thought it was a little pricey, but once I saw the size and quality, it felt worth it. As a self-proclaimed Vietnamese coffee and banana matcha connoisseur, I'll definitely be back to try both. Looking forward to seeing if they live up to the hype!

I was very disappointed when I received my drink and noticed that this café uses a strawberry jam compote. It made my drink very thick and unevenly distributed throughout my sipping experience because of how heavy the jam is compared to the milk and Matcha. I also tried on a separate trip the lychee tea, which was OK. The reviews are right when they mention the drinks are very sugar forward very sweet and I did have the barista reduce the sweetness in my tea, but the syrup used for the lychee just doesn't make well for the type of experience that I'm used to when I purchase tea from other competing stores.

Ratings: Curry crab omelette 8/10: this was a solid dish, but honestly, I know it was an omelette, but it just taste like eggs basically just an omelette with a little bit of crab but not bad. Shrimp fried rice 9/10: with the lime sauce on the side this is delicious by itself not so much of a great dish, but with the sauce amazing. Filet mignon banh mi 9.5/10: the only reason I take off .5 is because the bread was very very hard. But overall, an amazing dish and the flavors were amazing. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection. Mango sticky rice 7/10 if you are a fan of black sesame and your desserts, this is perfect for you. Banana bread pudding 100/10: this genuinely might be one of the greatest desserts I've ever had amazing perfection. All of the aspects of it are perfect the crunch the banana, the ice cream, the bread pudding everything about it just amazing if you love banana you will love this dessert.

This time we ordered the beef tongue fried rice, The dao, and the seafood tom kha pasta. The fried rice was a little disappointing because it was too soggy which threw off the texture. The dao was creamy but still light so it didn't feel too heavy. The seafood tom kha pasta is my favorite and something I have to order every time. It's tangy, creamy, and packed with umami. I just wish it had a little more spice and a few more mushrooms. They were also really generous with the seafood. Our server was super attentive throughout the meal. Nep's still one of my favorite brunch spots in OC and I'll definitely keep coming back!!

It wasn't difficult to find a spot to sit at either; outdoor seating and a good number of indoor seating was available for how busy it was at the time. It did get busier later, so I recommend to come earlier than you plan to to find a seat since it is a small store. May have to share a table with someone. The service was good! The cashier who helped me out answered questions I had and helped me pick out the drink. I got the espresso einspanner and it was average. The espresso is pre-batched and sort of had a weird bitter taste you wouldn't expect from coffee. The cream top definitely made it taste better. If they make the espresso latte base the same way without a cream top, I recommend to get a specialty drink or any drink with a cream top. It was kind of expensive for what it is. However, the service and interior outweighed my opinion on the drink, so I didn't think it deserved 4 stars for that. Definitely will come back to study again and try a different drink!!

Food & Selection The Good: The food and desserts…read morethemselves taste great, and the overall ambience of the restaurant is pleasant. The Issue: The bakery case is rarely stocked properly. Even right at the 7:00 a.m. opening, the selection is only about 25% full, and they consistently run out of the best items by noon. Management & Service Decline There has been a noticeable shift in management over the last 6 to 9 months. It feels like leadership is focused entirely on "running lean" rather than prioritizing customer service, variety, and satisfaction. Consequently, the restaurant is rarely as full as it used to be, and overall business has visibly dropped off. Additionally, the dining area could use better attention, as the tables are not always clean. Drive-Thru & Morning Operations Attempting to visit during the morning commute has become consistently frustrating due to a rotating list of operational issues: Glitchy and problematic performance with the new app. Cones blocking the drive-thru lanes without clear reason. Doors failing to open on time, remaining locked past opening time of 7:00 a.m. Recommendation: To better serve commuting customers, management should consider moving the opening time to 6:30 a.m.--and crucially, ensure that operations actually begin on time. Summary Verdict This location used to offer great service and fully stocked cases. It has immense potential to be busy all the time, but management needs to shift its focus away from extreme cost-cutting and back toward building the business and taking care of its customers. I've spoken to several of the employees over the last few weeks and I'm hearing that they keep hearing this from their customer base. Hopefully someone in management will see this and bump things up a notch.
