This restaurant has a great vibe. Service was excellent and so was our food! My husband had the 8 oz filet and it was so tender you could cut it with a fork. Perfectly medium rare and exceptional beef. I had the grilled sea bass special which had asparagus and grilled shrimp- fingerling potatoes- melted in my mouth. We started with a really interesting charcuterie board with three cheeses and three meats- a sweet mustard and a blend of golden raisins and cranberry that was amazing. My boss was kind enough to give me a gift card to J Gilbert's for Christmas so my boyfriend and I decided to go last night. We really had a great meal. They clearly train the heck out of their staff and service was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and efficient! The restaurant was very busy but the lighting and acoustics still made it feel like an initiate date night. Shout out to our terrific waitress whose name I didn't catch but she was wearing a headscarf and briefly explained each dish as it came out - even the bread! We both started with cocktails. I got the blackberry martini and my boyfriend got the Manhattan. We both agreed that the pour was a little heavy for both of us. Not a problem really but it did limit it us to one cocktail each. And something to be aware of if you need to figure out a safe driving arrangement. We then ordered the pretzel onion rings. They came out very quickly. They were very crispy and came with 3 dipping sauces. Surprisingly, to me, I liked the steak sauce one best. The onion rings actually came out before the bread, which would normally annoy me, but the onion rings came out within 5 mins of the onion rings, which came out 5 mins after our drinks, so it wasn't a very long wait. The sourdough bread came with a smoky pastrami spiced butter and a regular one. I preferred the regular butter but the smoked one was really interesting. About 10 mins after the bread, our entrees came out. My boyfriend ordered the pork chop with the gratin and mushrooms and I got the crab cake entree. We were both really happy with our food, and my boyfriend, whose meal was heavier than mine, took about a 1/3 of his home. We ended with the chocolate velvet cake and that was probably the highlight of the meal to me. Both my boyfriend and me have major sweet tooths and this was a perfect end to the meal. The raspberry ice cream was just sour enough to cut through the richness of the cake. So TL;DR is this was a wonderful meal with great service. I don't think it's going to win any creativity awards but it was a terrific steakhouse experience and we left incredibly satisfied and happy. read more

Oh my goodness, what a treat. Service was top notch. We came for a birthday, and they offer the birthday person a free slice of chocolate cake. If you've never had a wood fired steak, it's smoky, juicy, and so flavorful. Tried their $51 tier meal, which came with an app, an entree and dessert. I chose the Cesar salad, a 6oz filet and their creme brûlée. The Cesar salad was a little too garlicky for me, and quite spicy from the garlic. They used a Parmesan chip on top, which I thought was different from any other restaurant. Opted for asparagus and au gratin potatoes as my side. The sides were just ok. 5/10 for me. Asparagus was also wood fired and the potatoes were sliced super thin. It was just lacking flavor. Creme brûlée was super creamy and sweet. The star of the show was definitely the steak. So much flavor, my mouth was bursting with saliva throughout every chew. It was one of the first times where I thought going to a steakhouse was actually worth the money. Try it with their blue cheese butter. So good! I did get to try the strip as well as the Brussel sprouts and green beans. Strip is nicely marbled, the fattyness paired super well with that smoked flavor. read more

I can not express how happy this meal made me! We did the pre fix menu and it was not only a great price but perfectly executed. French onion soup is to die for. Crab cake was full of big lumps of delicious crab. Filet was a perfect medium rare. Crème brûlée is so good. Our server Ash was so nice. He recommended two different wines that we both loved and went so well with the meal. The table next to us was celebrating a birthday and the general manger Zahra was there making sure that everything was excellent. We loved the attention the staff was giving to the guest. This was our 2nd time at this restaurant. The first time we were there we sat at the bar and a bartender named Lisa was taking our order. Lisa is NOT a very happy person, she never smiles, ignores you and just made the experience terrible. With hesitation, we tried it again on January 29, 2026. We started at the bar and again, Lisa was the bartender and did not change (very sad) however, this time we sat in the restaurant (we usually only sit at the bar, but we couldn't take that again) our waitresses name was Mei Li, she was wonderful!!! Very attentive, the food was great and she did not try to rush us. It was the experience we thought we'd get at the bar. So we will definitely be back and try and get Mei Li as our waitress. Honestly, what a treat it was. We had some of the most tender ribeye steak I've ever had in my life. Flavorful and melt in your mouth wonderful. The asparagus was excellent as well. My friend had the shrimp and lobster bits. The staff was kind enough to split both entrees into two plates and when I tell you we got a lot of food....wow!!! We boxed a lot of it up to enjoy later (and boy howdy did we ever enjoy it!). My daughter didn't get to go with us, so I got her a slice of their 24-layer Chocolate Cake. They brought out this massive slice of cake, you couldn't even close the box!!!! Picture a slice of cake, double that, and that's probably still smaller than this cake! Meili was our food assistant. She was so nice and kind and didn't treat us badly at all. I could tell she has presented herself to high clientele, but we are down to earth folks just happy to be there. Please change the policy of having to buy gift cards only from the bartender. The bar staff are way too busy or uninterested in performing this task. This has happened to me at other fine restaurants, too. I don't get it at all. Why not let the one of 2 hostesses do it. I had cash. It would go much quicker! First of all the ambience is very nice and inviting. Dim lighting which adds to the nice warm atmosphere. Very friendly staff. We ordered blue cheese potato chips for an appetizer, which was very good. I love blue cheese. I ordered the 6 oz center cut filet which comes with two sides. I picked the poblano au gratin potatoes and creamed corn with bacon. The creamed corn was my favorite. Everything was top-notch. My date ordered the filet combo with scallops. The scallops were delicious. Dinner comes with a sourdough loaf and 2 kinds of butter. It was soft inside and a hard crust. Yum. The server checked on us several times to see if we needed anything. My date and I shared a piece of cheesecake with berries on top and some whipped cream for dessert which was very good. I will most definitely be back here. read more
