The food is spicy, delicious, and flavorful every time. Everything is fantastic and I've yet to taste a dish that I wouldn't get again. Things I've gotten: -Larb - quintessential, can't go wrong. -Thai Saap Pork Ribs Soup: SO GOOD. Sour and spicy (you can adjust the heat). It was perfect during the cold winter. The ribs were very tender and the broth was full of flavor. -Pad Thai - again, can't go wrong. -Wonton Soup - some of the best I've had. The broth was deliciously savory and so much tastier than the bland versions you get from most Chinese places. -Pad See Ew - also fantastic. -Rad Nah - appreciated that they packed the noodles separately so I could assemble the dish fresh. No soggy noodles. -Ka Prow Crispy Pork - by the time I got it home, it wasn't very crispy anymore but it didn't matter because the flavor was fantastic. -Crispy Chicken Basil - same thing, not too crispy but still delicious. Restaurant decor looks comfortable and there are a decent amount of tables inside. I haven't made the effort to eat onsite yet, but looking forward to doing that at some point because I definitely want to try their whole fish. It looks amazing! Can totally understand why some people would be intimidated by the location and look from outside, but looks can be deceiving! Absolutely worth the drive.

Its small inside with tables for dine in. 4/5 drunken noodles was spicy and delicious. Arived fresh and hot. This was lunch portion so assuming its smaller sized. Think there was only one cook so things bit slower but fresh cook to order. 4/5 fighting fish roll was decent. Crunchy tofu skin exterior and packed with flavors of pork, crab and shrimp. Juicy and hot inside, good flavor and texture. 3.5 siam fried rice was decent and flavored well but just wasn't distinguishing itself enough. Service was decent, it was one guy doing waiter and cashier. He was back and forth and sometimes waiting inside kitchen. Overall will come again since location has decent parking and reasonable prices and good thai food. I like their specials menu which I assume rotates.

Nothing felt gimmicky, everything was thoughtfully prepared. The ambiance is outstanding. Walking in, it felt like one of the better spots I've dined in Boston proper or New York. The space has real character. Our server Lou was exceptional. First-timers at a tapas-style restaurant, and he made sure we understood the portions, guided us through choices we weren't sure about, and kept us from over-ordering. That level of attentiveness makes a difference. The food was outstanding. The broccoli alone (yes, broccoli) was a standout. The ahi tuna and rice cake were equally impressive. My martini was perfectly executed. The owner came by, introduced himself, and actually spent time with each table. That kind of engagement from ownership tells you everything about the place's standards. I'm already planning my return to work through the rest of the menu. Whether it's a full dinner or just drinks and a snack, Njord Haven is worth the trip.

The delish cocktail less (which are NOT cheap) have almost no alcohol. I'm not a big drinker, but typically one will suffice. Two is a big night out. When I have three cocktails and almost no buzz, that makes you feel robbed. Who wants to feel ripped off? Several of my friends feel the same way and do not frequent for the same reason. I do hope the lovely owner does the right thing.

I heard all of the hype about District Kitchen. So I decided to give it a try. First I must say,…read moremake sure you make a reservation especially if it's on the weekend. This place is tiny. Very compact if you don't try and reserve a booth. The service was on point. The waiter we had was very attentive and took our order as soon as we sat. Great start. We ordered drinks and it kind of took some time. Once we got them, I noticed why it took long to get the drinks. This place caters to being more on the aesthetics. The drinks were great and beautifully decorated! That was a PLUS! Other than that, the food was okay. Nothing really special. They dress everything up really nice and make it photo worthy. So if you're looking to spruce up your social media with some nice photos of food and drinks, then this is your place! Overall, I'd give them a 7/10.

I got the cocktail that I think on the menu it said their would be sparklers or something with the presentation, so I guess I got my hopes up. A lot of their social media videos had bubbles, smokes, fire, sparklers, but my drink just came with smoke. It still looked pretty good, and tasted nice. The menu is huge. You can do a more 'Chinese style' dinner by sharing large entree items or you can get your own combo plate. I got the combo plate with 2 crab rangoons and general tso chicken. Food is pretty basic (well I did choose something basic haha). I've been here once around 8 years ago before they renovated to become this more modern Asian style. I must say its interesting what they've done to the place, they definitely have more business than before. But honestly it just feels like everything is for show, food is alright.

I love…read moreKowloon when they're at their best, but too often they're mailing it in with reheats from the night before (recent spareribs) or long-held items (recent rice, egg rolls) that have become soggy and/or cold. -- Sweet and Sour Chicken (on a combo): Better than it's been. Good portion, fingers crispy, not fresh fresh, but semi-fresh with good chicken-to-batter ratio. Sweet and sour sauce served on the side was excellent: nice and sweet, with plenty of tang too, and even though sticky, not the dreaded gloppy fire engine red version served elsewhere. Overall, well above average. If hotter and fresher, elite. -- Pork Fried Rice (on the combo): Composition: excellent. Color: excellent. Flavor: excellent. Warmth and freshness: lacking in both. Obviously prepared a good while before I ordered it and sitting in a bin to be taken as needed, not cooked to order. -- Egg Roll (add-on to the combo): Good fillings but gummy shell. No crispness. Not much warmth. I keep asking for fresh and they promise fresh, but they lie. Decent flavor, and some shrimp were involved, so at least average. But when Kowloon decides to put the effort in or when timing is on your side, these are among the best in the business. But on this day-- because they didn't and it wasn't-- merely average. -- Spare Ribs (add-on to the combo): These were somewhat warm, somewhat meaty, and more than somewhat flavorful. A little above average. Everything came much quicker to the table than cooking from scratch would allow, so the precooked concept is still in play. Still a decent lunch, and with a great visual backdrop, but it could be so much better. And at their prices, it SHOULD be better.

Also ordered pork chop suey($18)SR on the bone($24) and 2 egg rolls($17). $85 dollars later I was on my way home. When got home noticed I had an adjustment to my bill adding $2.17 for my xtra bean sprouts, what a joke! Anyway here is my assessment of the food after spending an outrageous amount of money. My rating scale is 1-10... 10 being Elite. -Spare Rib on the bone were tender and meaty but a little dry with no extra gooey sweetness that I prefer(7.3) -Fried Rice had a good amount of pork nuggets and onion and plenty of bean sprouts (haha) but little to no flavor and was very oily (5.7) -Pork Chow Mein (8.2)was very good, really fresh with great flavor and the dry crunchy noodles (10)were some of the best I have ever had. But did notice that chow mein may have been loaded with msg because I was very thirsty after eating it. Now the Egg Roll.. $17 for 2 egg rolls, I was expecting big things from these overpriced veggie/pork logs but they very much disappointed, they had an odd flavor to them, some spice I did not recognize, shell wasn't bad, filling, meh. (5.0). Ambience (8.0) Service-(7.0) VALUE-(2.5) Would I recommend, uh, no. There are way too many better old school Chinese restaurants to consider.

I forgot how swanky looking the place was, and that still impressed. -- Egg Rolls: Cradled in a wicker basket, crisp on the outside, celery, and pork on the inside, a bit dry, but good flavor. A little above average. -- Spare Ribs on the bone: Painted on every surface with a nice char to complement the glaze. A thicker cut than most. Just like last time, they looked like a reheat, but still had very good texture (tender, moist) and decent enough flavor. Above average. -- Pork Egg Foo Yong: A trio of thick patties flooded with light brown sauce. Good crispness underneath. Soft and tender with big chunks of pork that wasn't dried out. Good overall flavor from the fry, the onions, and the pork, as well as the sauce. Near-elite to elite. -- Kung Pao Chicken: A little different here, with much larger shreds of chicken, a little darker than most, less celery and peanuts than most, a profusion of peppers, and pleasing spiciness to the soy-based sauce. Very enjoyable. Above average to well above average. -- Peking Noodles: A little different, and in a good way. More of a fine shred than a crumble, much spicier, and a little gloppier. Good feel to the egg noodles. I don't get this dish often enough to compare, but I enjoyed it. No OMG moments, but no complaints. Solid lunch, flavorful entrees, and I departed with a higher opinion than before. Upping to 4 stars.

After a horrendous experience at thier Everett location a few years ago ( check my review ) , I was a little hesitant to try thier new location. And though it wasnt without a couple of hiccups , Im giving the new location a solid 4 stars ! The new location is immaculate and seemingly newly renovated ! The wood floors were gleaming , the open space was very well kept and even the bathroom was clean / orderly ! We ordered the pu pu platter for 2 , pineapple fried rice ( presented in an actual pineaple split in half ) , sesame beef and the food was exdellant !! So why only 4 stars .... Well , I wasnt crazy about the hot and sour soup. I expressed my displeasire to our waitress. She apogized and took it away ( yet it still wound up on our bill) . In thier defense, I'd taken a few sips of the soup and it was only $6 bucks so I let it go . Further, our drink orders took awhile to get to our table ( but once I again I gave them a pass because it WAS busy evening . Im mentioning these things now because they took away from our experience . In closing ( and despite those hiccups ) I'll be back and I encourage you to check it out too !

This place is popping! Even though it was later in the evening, the restaurant was still really full. However we didn't have to wait too long to get seated. I loved the decor in here, such neat details and even a column with a dragon on it! So cool. It's a dark restaurant so it was hard to read the menu, but otherwise, it's a very cool vibe here and feels very lounge-y. Our server was awesome, he was friendly and explained the restaurant style to us - it's like tapas, you order a few items to share and recommended 2 - 3 items per person would be sufficient. It was only 2 of us and we shared 3 items total, and that was more than enough. We apparently arrived so late that our server informed us that we only had a short time before the kitchen was closing for the night. But he said that he would return before the kitchen closed in case we wanted to order additional menu items. We were intrigued by the Japanese/Peruvian fusion menu and tried a few things: Kuromitsu Brussel Sprouts Spicy Salmon Fritas Bo Bo Chicken I was most excited about the Bo Bo Chicken a it had a sichuan chili oil and I love spicy, but it was not spicy at all (to me). But the flavor was really good. My favorite was the Brussels sprouts. I loved the char on them and the ginger black honey on it was so good. I don't eat salmon, but my friend said the Salmon Fritas was great and really enjoyed them. I would say this was the best meal we had on our trip!
