Twice when Service indicated that they ordered a part, I was never contacted when the part came in. I followed up with the Service Department, and not only did they not know if the part was there, they asked me to call the Parts Department to find out if they had the part (shouldn't Service do that?!?) Because I have been dissatisfied with the Service Department, I tried to go somewhere else to have a suspension issue repaired, but was told by other mechanics that Jeep needed to complete the repair. For the second time, it took weeks to get an appointment, in the most recent case 5 weeks. I was told that I should get a loaner because they couldn't tell how long the repair would take (despite the written estimate stating it was 4 hours of labor), I explained that I need to drop it off the evening before the repair and was assured a loaner car would be available. When I called the day of to confirm, they were unsure if a loaner would be available. When I learned that the appointment was 5 weeks out, I asked if it was OK to continue to drive the car during this time, they had no idea! Getting this repair, selling the car and going elsewhere.

I asked to be transferred to services, I told the guy in the service department 5 times that I'd like my speed limiter removed. He's so uninformed and unintelligent that he kept asking me if I wanted my speedometer removed. It's amazing this guy even knows how to breathe. I clarified once again that I need the speed limiter removed. He said him along with his manager said they can't do it. That makes zero sense considering that the dealer is the one who ADDS it through the ECU and all they have to do is plug in their computer component to remove it the same way they added it. Holy wow these people are dumb. Guys, stay far away from this place. If you bring your vehicle here for anything I wouldn't be surprised if this absolute monkey just starts ripping out random pieces of your dashboard because he's probably in his 40s or 50s and makes a sub par wage working behind the counter of a dealership hahaha. Room temperature IQ everywhere.

10 STARS Update:…read moreJune 17, 2026 I came here for oil change and mentioned some noise my husband was hearing. After thoroughly inspection the technician named Adrian stated that he will need to replaced the strut due to leakage. That being said, they provided a courtesy vehicle, allowing us to carry on with our day at no extra charge, which made things much easier for us. Whoever completed all the work on the vehicle, did an amazing job. The service at Karl Knauz is truly impeccable. From the moment you arrive, you're treated with professionalism, transparency, and genuine care. Kristy from service department is knowledgeable, attentive, and takes the time to explain everything clearly, making the entire experience seamless and stress-free. It's rare to find this level of service and attention to detail...exactly what you expect from the BMW brand. Highly recommend.

It's a very long story, but essentially there was an issue with the car I intended to purchase, and I appreciate that they were honest with me about it up front rather than trying to cover it up just to close the deal and make the sale. They have integrity here. I was then going to get a different car color, but then some things in my personal life came up that put everything on hold for a few weeks. By the time I was ready to get a car, they didn't have the one I wanted in stock, but another dealership that was even closer to me did, so instead of waiting for a dealer trade I went ahead with the other dealership. But, everyone at Highland Park was great - I worked with Ken and Daniel and they were very accommodating and patient, and it's very low-pressure here. A lot of people complain on here about the "Lexus Plus" no-haggle setup, but in all my extensive research and trying to get other dealers to negotiate, HP's pricing was extremely fair and most other dealerships "best and final" offer was higher than HP's set pricing. It was also extremely straight-forward in terms of the one-person from start to finish process. The dealership is also very nice inside, which I would expect from Lexus, but wasn't always the case at other Lexus dealerships. Everyone I interacted with was kind and helpful, so this place does take some of the stress out of a car buying.

## 82-Day Registration Failure, Legal Exposure, and Total Management Abandonment…read more I purchased a new 2025 Lexus RX 500h from Lexus of Highland Park on April 15, 2026. While the sales associate handled the initial showroom transaction politely, the post-sale administrative handling and upper-management conduct fell completely below basic industry, legal, and consumer standards. **Improper Plate Transfer:** At delivery, dealership staff transferred and mounted my Nebraska personalized plates ("J STYLE") onto the new vehicle. They assured me this was legal, despite my explicit objections that the plates belonged to my trade-in vehicle. **82-Day Loss of Legal Use:** Due to administrative mishandling and an original title reportedly lost in transit, the paperwork did not arrive until late Friday, July 3, 2026. Because of the holiday weekend, the vehicle could not be legally registered until Monday, July 6, 2026, depriving me of lawful use for 82 days. **Dismissive Management:** Sales Director Julio Gomez characterized an 82-day delay as "normal" and recklessly advised me to simply "show a police officer the bill of sale" if stopped while driving across state lines. **Documented Financial Losses:** Operating out of state with mismatched registration created serious legal, citation, and insurance risks. I was forced to cancel a planned road trip, incurring $1,800 in nonrefundable airline and travel expenses, while continuing to pay insurance and monthly loan installments on a vehicle that had to remain parked. **Broken Executive Commitments:** Mr. Gomez acknowledged the failure and promised a goodwill compensation package once the paperwork arrived. After the paperwork was received on July 3, Mr. Gomez, Director Julian Keller, General Manager Benjamin Nusinow, and Owner/Dealer Principal Alan Nusinow ceased all communication. They refused to answer calls, return emails, or honor their commitment. A luxury-car buyer should never face months of legal vulnerability, out-of-pocket financial damage, and complete abandonment by ownership once the funds have cleared. This matter has been escalated to Lexus Corporate and formally submitted to the Illinois Attorney General's Consumer Fraud Bureau. Buyers--especially out-of-state customers--should exercise extreme caution before trusting this dealership's administrative office and executive leadership. -- Jerry E. Johnson

I was here yesterday for my annual oil change/tire rotation (I only put like 2-3k miles on my car…read moreper year, if that). As always, impeccable service. I was there at 7:45am and all 3 service advisors were super friendly and happy for that early on a Friday :) I set up camp in the lounge to get some work done and after listening to the chef chat with other customers (again, both the chef and even the customers were all super nice and friendly) and seeing several people get some good looking food, I caved and got the French toast (it was great). I love that they don't try to upsell me. They said my car was in great shape and they didn't have any recommendations. I fully expected to have to replace my cabin filter because I'm at 21k miles and that's part of the recommended 20k service (which I didn't get). I would DIY that myself anyway, but they said everything is in good shape, so that saves me a bit of money for now. My only complaint is that I don't have memory seats because they always adjust my seats (even just for the car wash) and I can never quite get it back to my sweet spot lol. I'll keep that in mind for when I'm ready for a new car haha. I will always bring my car here and if/when I'm ready for an upgrade, I would 100% purchase from Fields. I'm just waiting for Lexus to offer another 0.0 or 0.9% financing special since I waited too long and let the my grad student rebate eligibility expire.
