Went on a Friday night with a friend. The space is beautiful; lots of natural light and an open, clean look. The Poutine was good, but it had a lot of gravy which made the fries soggy. Overall, good flavor. Ordered the veggie burger (made with chickpeas and beets!) and it was fantastic! THE BEST veggie burger I've ever had. I was so pleased to have an option that wasn't a southwest/blackbean burger because in locally, that's usually what they're made of. Ordered a cookie to go and it was so tasty! This place is one of my go-to breakfast spots. Their breakfast food is awesome, especially their omelettes and sandwiches. I recently tried their biscuit sandwich, where instead of regular bread they use biscuits, which was a pleasant surprise. Also, their sausage patties are crispy on the outside, which is a good change in texture from regular patties. The price is very reasonable for a place of this quality, about $10 - $15 per meal. In addition to their delicious food, the songs they play and the decor of the place is great! Never had a problem with their service either. Hope you enjoy this place. read more

Really want to like this place. Love the idea of a deli style restaurant with house cured meats. They have latkes and pierogis on the menu. Also a variety of topping on poutine. Mostly have lots of deli sandwiches to try. Came in for lunch. Restaurant not a ton different than when it was Maxwells. Clean interior. Friendly service. Ordered the pastrami and added swiss. Here is the rub. There are two options for the sandwich price wise. $13 / $25 (i think). Didn't notice when I ordered - I usually don't honestly pay that much attention. The sandwich arrived with house made chips. it was a half sandwich piled pretty high with pastrami (prob 1/3 lb) The meat was unconventional. Didn't really have a cured texture. Cooked medium rare, very soft consistency. It was very tender, but the meat seemed more like a steak sandwich (m rare). Not sure I liked it. The flavor on the pastrami was very pepper-centric, not a ton of other aromatic spices like coriander present. All this, yet it did have a pronounced and nice smoke flavor. Struck me as being a unconventional smoked brisket more than a cured pastrami. Anyway, probably not my bag but it was obvious there was an attention to quality. Check came and it was $14. I had water and a half sandwich. I think a full (much larger) pastrami with cost you $20 at Katz's in the middle of NYC. Not sure why this bugged me as much as it did, but it just seems a bit out of bounds for the market, like by 50%. Not sure I will be back. Some people may love the approach and not mind the price, just not me. read more

Route 66 is getting a lot of revamping and this is one of the restaurants along the strip.  The first thing I noticed was the wonderful neon sign.  Fantastically simple.  The restaurant itself has huge windows and high ceilings.  They have a massive buffalo painted on the tile on the wall above the bar.  It definitely draws your attention to that area.  We were seated at a booth in front of one of the windows.  Our waitress was very friendly, possibly a little busier than they had planned but she still took the time to talk and inform us of the entire weeks specials.  We weren't in a hurry and decided to order a couple of beers to go with the evening special...$3 dollar dogs!  Their foot long is topped with mustard, sauerkraut and a pickle relish that has a slight spiciness.  All served on a substantial bread bun.  The side item is a pile of potatoes slices fried crispy.  This isn't an entree I would have normally ordered but I enjoyed it!  I can see my kids liking this. Went for thanksgiving brunch. We had a pickle board for the table- a variety of house made pickled vegetables and fruits (blueberries). Between us we also sampled an omelet with latke, poutine, eggs+toast+latke, Monte cristo , and veggie burger. Everyone was delighted with their food. The homemade bread was phenomenal. This is a hidden secret in Tulsa. We ended up here on Christmas night bc it was one of the only places open for dinner. They were very busy, way more than they thought they would be and were out of a lot of their regular items. The owner and staff were very apologetic. We were just happy to have some dinner. We chose this place for a late dinner after a hard day of moving. My daughter is a vegetarian and really wanted to try their veggie burger, and we were intrigued by their vegan pastrami, rueben sandwiches. We called and ordered, but unfortunately they just ran out of the veggie burgers that my daughter had chosen ( we ordered late in the evening) I happened to mention that we chose the place because of that item and the person on the phone actually apologized. He offered other choices but then offered to go ask the kitchen to make double sure. He came back and said give us a 20 minutes and I will make sure she gets it. Chris was my bartender for the evening and made the evening perfect. I was dining alone and he gave me just as much attention as I needed and just enough space. I have been to Jane's twice and I really want to like this place because the food is quite good. What is NOT good is the service. Both times we have been there it has taken us over two hours. If the place was really crowded I could live with that. But that wasn't the case either time. The staff seemed totally disinterested in seating us. The waiter told us if he didn't come back for awhile he was probably checking his Instagram!! He didn't come back for a long time. We had to ask for our drinks to be refilled at least three times. When we finally got our food our order was wrong. If that wasn't bad enough, I went to the restroom and there was no soap in the dispenser. There happened to be a staff member in there at the same time as me. When I mentioned no soap to her, she rinsed her hands off, proceeded to walk out and continue to take food to a table!! This is a cool spot for brunch or lunch. I loved the chicken salad sandwich with a touch of curry. It was a pretty large serving too, so you can opt for the half if you aren't starving. My wife and I ate here for lunch today. My wife had the 2 egg breakfast with the latke and toast. I had the $18 Reuben. The latke had good flavor and was served with delicious stewed apples, and sour cream. The Reuben was served with a huge dill pickle spear and homemade potato chips. Some of the potato chips were burnt, and all of them were soggy. The bread on the Reuben was microscopic. The serving of meat was nice and large. I could barely find the swiss cheese on it. This is one of my favorite brunch places in Tulsa. The Apple butter is so yummy and there are a lot of choices for breakfast, all very hearty and full. The cinnamon rolls are absolutely massive. I went for dessert and the atmosphere was even cuter than it is during daylight, our server was a really nice and attentive guy. The options for dessert were very trendy/hipsteresque in my opinion. Goat cheese icing, rhubarb pie, honey fig cake. The pecan pie had wonderful reviews from my table and I'm sure the other desserts do as well, it's just helpful to know that's what you're getting into!!! read more
