Jeffrey's is one of the finest restaurants in the US. With my wife and two friends that I've known more than 50 years we went to celebrate my 80th birthday. The service was amazing. The Signature drinks were excellent. All of us raved about every dish, including the sides and desserts that came to the table. Each entree was perfectly prepared and served. It's easy to appreciate that it's one of the top rated (#3) restaurants for steak in the US. We loved it.

I was in Austin for a month and very fortunately had the opportunity to dine at Jeffery's twice during my visit. The service & ambiance are top notch, the ribeye was arguably the best steak I've ever had the pleasure of eating and the popovers melt in your mouth. A little pricey for sure, but undoubtedly worth it.

Setting and service here are impeccable. The restaurant is not small, but it feels intimate, comfortable, and cozy due to several separated rooms, each decorated with tasteful and interesting artwork. The service is exceedingly attentive with water refilled at every sip. We came for my partner's birthday, and we were greeted by a handwritten card at the table, and each server wishing him a happy birthday. For appetizers, we ordered the hamachi as well as the scallops. The waiter said the hamachi was his favorite dish, but it was the one dish we both might have skipped - the flavors were a bit bland, and no one things stood out. The scallops, even though an appetizer, was a small portion. However, the accompanying melon and sauce were delicious. We also ordered the ribeye along with mushrooms. My partner deemed the steak "exceptional" and the garlic and accompanying mushrooms were also delicious. For dessert, we settled on the Baked Alaska, which I would say, was the other disappointment of the meal. For the price, this was shockingly small - and while the presentation is lovely, the actual flavors were very bland. The meal finished with complimentary chocolates, which I wish we had made our entire dessert. Overall, an exceedingly lovely experience, especially for a celebration. I think in the future, we would know how to navigate the menu just a bit better.

Magicians in the kitchen. Not going to bother typing the dishes I had because everything they make is delicious. Literally get anything you want and you will like it. We've usually order one of the steaks but most recently went to the bar for the burger and it did not disappoint. Only negative thing I have to say is that the espresso is pre batched for the espresso martinis but at least they use real espresso. (I understand it's for speed but small pet peeve). They do pull the shot fresh if you order actual coffee like a cappuccino or espresso by itself, etc.

An amazing dinner that is worth trying at least once! The service was spectacular and the ambience is chill and romantic. They have free valet parking! The complimentary popovers were DELICIOUS! Drink: Highly recommend the English milk punch it's a smooth and super sweet drink. The blood orange fizz was also good, but not my favorite of the two drinks hors d'oeuvres: The HAM & GRUYÈRE CROQUETTES melt in your mouth! The PORK BELLY & DUCK RILLETTES were so yummy and my favorite of all the appetizers. The CRAB & SESAME BEIGNETS are also a MUST try! Appetizers: The Scallop dish was fresh, citrusy, and the melon bites were a great combination Entree: If you want a fish dish then the DOVER SOLE AMANDINE is the one you should try! It was spectacular. It was a flavor bomb in my mouth! Dessert: I really enjoyed the chocolate soufflé with the cherry ice cream

Wow! It's been a month since I was there and I'm still salivating. What a truly great experience we had at Jeffrey's. It was for my, and my friend's, birthday. I'm going to start with the bad... parking suuucckksss. They do offer valet, though. Now into the good. From the hors d'oeuvres, to the dinner, the cocktails and dessert. The amount of care and detail they put into not only making delicious food, but how It's presented on the plate. Our waiter was freaking amazing and of course I'm terrible with names but I hope he's still there next time! We ordered so many different hors d'oeuvres. We almost tried them all. With the truffle deviled eggs and ham & Gruyere Croquettes being my pick. I had the Dean & Peeler (Based in Texas) 8 oz filet and it was perfectly prepared. And let me tell you right now, those seared mushrooms are literally the best mushrooms I've had anywhere. Highly recommend them! I didn't get a pic because I tried one and then forgot all about my fellow Yelpers at that moment. My favorite cocktail was the English Milk Punch. Shout out to Finn and his fellow cocktail magicians. For my "dessert" I ordered a glass of the Seppeltsfield 2002 Tawny. Holy crap, the flavor was amazing. It's definitely sweet so if you're not into that... then that leaves more for me! It gave me maple syrup vibes. Those Australians know what's up. Too bad one can't find a bottle anywhere to have at home. I could probably go on but hands down the best dining experience we've had in a very long time.

    Complimentary bread with stracciatella cheese

My last night in Austin was spent catching up with a girlfriend I hadn't seen in six years, so it felt only fitting to celebrate the occasion at a legendary restaurant like Jeffrey's, located in the charming Clarksville neighborhood. I had heard so many great things about Jeffrey's, including its reputation as an Austin fine-dining staple since 1975. The restaurant strikes that rare balance of feeling cozy and intimate while still maintaining an undeniably upscale atmosphere. Colin was our server and he did an amazing job taking care of us throughout the evening. Shortly after we were seated, we were served complimentary bread with stracciatella cheese, which got me super excited. Stracciatella happens to be one of my favorite cheeses and it's surprisingly hard to find so this was a treat. The bread was warm and perfect for scooping up the creamy, delicate cheese. Extra points to Jeffrey's for offering this as a complimentary starter! After that, we ordered the crispy fried oysters, which were recommended to me by one of the sushi chefs at Sushi by Scratch who mentioned she used to work at Jeffrey's and insisted they were a must-order. They arrived golden and delicate with a light, crisp exterior and that briny, buttery oyster inside. Truly the perfect starter and just the right portion to begin the meal. For our mains, we both opted for the Gulf Red Snapper. The dish arrived beautifully plated with a perfectly seared exterior. The fish was delicate, flaky, and cooked perfectly. On the side we ordered the oak-grilled broccolini, which came out vibrant and slightly charred with a subtle smokiness. It paired well with the snapper and added a nice fresh balance to the meal. They also have an excellent white wine selection, which complemented the seafood perfectly. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and the perfect way to end my Austin trip. Jeffrey's will definitely be a staple stop every time I visit Austin from now on.

Jeffreys, a meal so complete, that it can be described by one word; immaculate. What an amazing establishment that is an EXPERIENCE in fine dining, yet still maintains a classy yet not snobby Austin charm. Food - I very rarely find restaurants executing in all phases but there was not a single menu item that wasn't perfectly seasoned, and delicious. Nothing felt like it was mediocre. From the appetizers (the greatest deviled eggs) to the entree and sides (the sides were not an afterthought!) everything was amazing. I had the Mishima Ribeye. Such a perfectly cooked medium rare, no hard gray band. Just a perfect cook. The butter flavor with herb and garlic was also perfection. Perfectly salted and a great crust. Truly mind blowing creamed spinach, delicious mushrooms and the desserts had a depth of flavor that was out of this world. Service - The waiter was fantastic. Playful and witty, rolled with my groups terrible dad jokes and everyone who helped was on top of drinks, picking up items, and keeping the table neat. Jeffreys is a MEMORABLE Meal.

Reservations are pretty much required. Food is mostly legit at a hefty price tag. The popup bread is complementary and amazing. I need to learn how to make this. We got 2 different steaks. The 6oz mishima tenderloin filet - this was the best steak hands down I've ever had. I don't eat at top steakhouses often, but this is hands down the best steak by far anywhere. Well worth the $95. Great feature, perfect temperature, Melted in your mouth. Great Smokey flavor. Amazing. Absolutely zero need to use any of their sauces. The 12oz mishima ny strip was good, but honestly for the price point, I'm not sure it's justified. This weighed in at a whopping $120. It was good, but didn't knock my socks off like the tenderloin did. After the filet, I was a bit disappointed here. We also for the tortellini - amazing. So many unique flavors in a bit. The fries, while stacked in a jenga block set look, were aweful. It tasted like yucca. Service - A+. I came here with a friend, but lots of couples as it did have a romantic vibe inside.

I don't know why it's taken me so long to go here, but boy am I glad I finally went. Jeffrey's is tucked away on a quiet and unassuming street. When you walk in, first thing you'll notice is that the restaurant is deceptively large. The bar is beautiful, and the rest of the restaurant will remind you of an old school Italian mobster restaurant (in a good way!) The service was phenomenal. Multiple people came to service our table for water, bread, food, cleaning the table, etc. The food was amazing, but I'm going to give you the secret star of the show: the rack of lamb. Honestly may be the best lamb that I've had in Austin (and I've tried a bunch of different places!). We will for sure be back. Thank you for making our anniversary celebrations memorable!

Spectacular restaurant, what a special treat. I truly loved this dining experience. The service top-notch as well, our server Sergio, enthusiastically described, in detail, every item on the menu. Helping us navigate and decide what to order. The food was fantastic, everything we ordered was fresh and well prepared. I would highly recommend this restaurant next time you find yourself in Austin, Texas.

Such a pleasure every time I come here. The staff is always so friendly and attentive and can we talk about the food!! I came for a late birthday light dinner, I will always recommend the tortellini, croquettes, truffled deviled eggs, and beef tartare for starters. I also split a ribeye either my partner. We sat in the lounge which was dimly lit and lively but we were still able to have great conversations. I ran into an issue with the tortellini being a little too salty this time and it was immediately replaced with new bites. Impeccable service and impeccable restaurant 10/10 if you're in Austin co

The best steak of our lives and we have eaten our fair share! Combine that with impeccable service and a wine list to die for and the evening was absolute perfection.

Parking was a little hard to come by in the neighborhood, but not impossible. I ended up waiting a little over 1.5 hrs after checking in with the hostess and we were able to snag the very last plate of paella! I've had my fair share of paella and I'm in no way a paella snob, but this one missed the mark for me. 1) the portion did not reflect the $34 price tag. 2) portions of the rice were undercooked and very hard. 3) it was way too salty. It did come with a mix of mussels, clams, shrimp, and sausage, with a side of toast, but I can't justify this part of the experience. We also ordered calamari and croquetas. The croqueta was delicious and flavorful, but the calamari didn't stand out. It tastes like any other calamari. The ambiance itself is cute and the service was great, but the food was lacking.

THE BLACK AND WHITE: I came here to catch up with a buddy that enjoys wine as much as I do. Starting off, we got a glass of Aubry brut 1er cru glass. Nice, acidic, and bubbly. What I expect out of champagne. We got a philippe jouan (aka pinot noir) bottle which was so delicious. For food, we got the baguette and a egg confit dish that was divine. Very Disappointing Experience…read more I was really looking forward to The Golden Girls pop-up at Wanderlust Wine Company. Unfortunately, the experience was nothing like what I had seen from the pop-ups in other cities. The biggest disappointment was how little there actually was to the experience. The kitchen table wasn't even there. The girls famously gathered around that table eating cheesecake. There were no cheesecake props, which seemed like an obvious and essential part of The Golden Girls experience. Blanche's bedroom was completely outside in a completely different building, which made the whole setup feel disconnected. Even the wall phone, which was supposed to have the girls talking did not provide the experience I had seen from Instagram reels from other cities. Then came the cocktails. At $16 each, I expected them to at least be made correctly. My Blanche Devereaux cocktail was made with club soda instead of Sprite. Club soda tastes like Alka-Seltzer. I had to ask for a different drink. The second cocktail, The Dorothy, was made with Prosecco and unfortunately wasn't good either. Even the one lady sitting at this isolated bar with me said her drink was bad too. They double charged me. Which is another major issue. My ticket was $23.34 including taxes and fees and the complimentary drink was supposed to be included, with only a one-cent charge when I arrived. Instead, I was charged an additional $23.08, including $11.54 for the drink that was supposed to be included in the ticket price. Is there an explanation? Will this be corrected? My credit card company has already been notified. But what a hassle I have to go through. Just scan my QR code, and don't charge me .01 cent. I paid my ticket and "free" drink. Also as a solo guest, I was also extremely uncomfortable with where I was seated. I was placed away from everyone else at a very narrow bar along the wall, completely isolated from the rest of the group. Honestly, it felt like being sent to the kids' table at Thanksgiving--off in another room away from the adults. It was humiliating and made an already disappointing experience even worse. The entire experience amounted to roughly 15 minutes of taking a few pictures, drinking a poorly made cocktail, and leaving. For what I paid and what was advertised, I expected something much more immersive and fun. I couldn't wait to leave. Thank God I didn't pay for parking. I'm extremely disappointed. I went in excited to celebrate one of my favorite shows and left feeling like I had wasted my time and money. Based on this experience, I would not return to Wanderlust Wine Company.

Rosé Gosé (note accents) is in an unassuming Airport Blvd location (right next to Jewboy Burgers, an Austin favorite). It is run by a couple from Belarus that came here right after Covid to open up a restaurant, with a sister in Minsk. Defying expectations, the menu is not Balkan at all. If anything, there is a strong Asian influence with poke bowls and a lot of seafood. But the menu also offers beef tartare on their raw bar menu, as well as a steak offering and grilled chicken. It's a diverse and adventurous menu, all the way from small plates to hefty mains and vegetable sides. For the dessert, try the pavlova, a meringue confection stuffed with coconut mousse and topped with lime sorbet and a grapefruit slice sidecar. Everything is superbly presented, and unquestionably fresh and healthy without veering into twigs and berries territory. The cocktail menu is also playful, with a lot of nontraditional glassware and slight spins on popular drinks; their version of a Paloma uses prosecco instead of a splash of soda. The servers are all dressed in rosé jumpsuits and very attentive. The space is amiable and elegant without being pretentious. The table spacing is a little close, so that conversations carry between guests. The table setting has some nice touches, like the little wooden bench that holds your fork and knife off the table. In European fashion, water can be asked for but it won't be served with ice. Plan on taking your time and enjoying course after course.

Rosé Gosé was a delightful Mother's Day lunch spot. It is a whole vibe, and it is uniquely French! When we walked in an artist was playing romantic music on his keyboard, which set the tone for the brunch. It is a small restaurant inside with a larger area of seating on the patio. Of course, our reservations were inside in the comforts of air conditioning. You immediately notice a wine wall hence the name Rosé Gosé. The restaurant has many windows which provide lots of natural light. The tables house miniature yellow roses and utensils sat in a small wooden block...very French. All the servers were dressed in mauve clothing that resemble scrubs from a hospital. If someone stepped out in a French beret, I would have fallen over. Our server, Sergey, immediately served us water and took our order. The restaurant was highlighted as a modern European bistro. The atmosphere was charming, elegant, and stylish making it ideal for a Mother's Day brunch. My hubby ordered a ribeye, eggs and French Fries. I ordered the avocado toast with salmon and egg whites. While I'm not a huge red meat eater, I tasted a piece of the hubs ribeye and it was nicely prepared. My avocado toast was yummy to the nth degree! Everything was perfect. The avocado was precisely cut and at the right level of softness. The salmon was chopped into tiny little squares and so enjoyable to eat. We could not be more pleased. With a name like Rosé Gosé you would expect their drinks to be superb. My hubby ordered a hibiscus tea, which was delightful. I ordered a mimosa that had high quality ingredients and was perfectly balanced...so smooth. We were also pleased with the drinks. This was the first time at Rosé Gosé, however, it definitely will not be the last.
